When I get my car back i'm planning on installing some ICE and will have my subs venting into the car via the ski hatch but after having a look at the car the other day I couldnt figure out how to remove the cover for the hatch. Its like a black lid thats zipped and pushed in like a second layer/lid for the hatch. Wozza, I noticed that you've managed to remove it in your ice thread but dont know how so if someone could help me out then it would be much appreciated and then I wouldnt have to ask anyone later on either when I get the car back lol

will do mate. I do know that either the washer bottle is broken or theres a pipe come off as well tho as when I tried filling it up it emptied just as quick onto my driveway.

have you tried signing up with salvage places if you're after a cat d car? places like copart are the main guys that insurance cars go to. IIRC the membership is £20 for the year or something like that and then you can bid on cars. IS200's go cheap at places like copart. All depends upon the damage of course. Dewsbury auto salvage deal with a lot of lexus's from what I've been told so you could give them a ring as well. So do you specifically want a damaged cat d car then?

I realised recently that the horn on my lex aint working. As its in the bodyshop at the moment being repaired I cant check to see if its the fuse or wiring but just wondering what could be the cause? Has anyone else had this problem? Remember my car has sustained light front damage but the impact has not touched the horn.

As of yesterday the car is finally in the bodyshop!!! Fingers crossed it should be sorted and back with me by the end of next week. Cant wait! :D

when I was looking for a bonnet, what I did was just contact everyone on ebay selling any sorta lexus parts whatever it was and asked them if they had a bonnet and eventually I came across someone who did. thats all I can recommend really mate apart from ringing up breakers. try A1 Jap in Failsworth, 0161 682 2221 or Dewsbury Auto Salvage, not sure what their number is tho. If you want any brand new parts though give lexus bolton a ring and speak to alan, he's a really sound guy and will sort a discount out if you mention you are a member of the club.

hi mate! welcome to the club! now thats one serious request I think. When you say in any sorta condition, you may be asking for more trouble than its worth coz if u were to get a car thats in poor condition just in order to save money you will probably end up spending more money just to get it in good or even ok nick but if u just kept an eye out n saved a bit then i'm sure u'll be able to find a mint one. just my bit of advice mate. hope u find a good one tho!

IIRC when I rang lexus bolton for quotes on brand new parts when I was pricing everything up a bonnet was around the £300 figure brand new inc vat

last I remember arent the denso plugs rebranded NGKs? I'm sure one of the plugs are rebranded NGK's tho for sure. Will need some plugs for mine soon as well so wheres the best place to get them? Thought they were quite expensive on ebay myself and dont really fancy getting them from abroad.

you're looking at roughly £100 for a bonnet mate and £60-£70 for a bumper with washer jets. I paid £90 for my bonnet with hinges from a scrappy round my way and a tenner to have it delivered to my house. As for the bumper I got mine off here so best bet is to put a wanted thread up with the parts you need and see if anyone gets back to you. Also have a look round ebay but the prices are slightly higher on there. It took me a while to find the parts for my car as a lot of people know on here but if you keep hunting then you'l find em.

Cool...the cars booked in for thursday so as soon as I know the repairs are going well then I'll order the HID's. Bit confused on the pricing though as at one point it stated it in dollars and it worked out silly cheap...about £20 but then later it showed it as £'s.

Yayyy! Finally some more progress! The car is booked in with the bodyshop for this thursday and I've been told it'll take about a week to fix...maybe a little bit more depening on how busy they are. I think its time to start ordering bits lol...
