I think there are many types of turbo, however it was only a passing comment that the turbo is a hybrid, so what type i have no idea?, I know TGT will only put quality things on the cars they build.

They will be interesting to see side by side thats for sure. The Tezza doesn't have the "Lexus" appeal either.

Yer its a bit more deep than this, he was accused of something on LOC, stripped of his mod title with little evidence being brought forward when he asked what he had been accused of :o I for one hope he will come back, as he says things as they are :winky: he did lots for the club, using his own time and expense :o and was just getting the ace cafe meets going :D Not that I know the guy that well, I can't think he would have done something wrong, he appeared to me as someone who played with a straight bat. I moderate a couple of sites and I thought Wozza did a good job, in what is a thankless and unpaid task.

If the insurance are going to pick up the bill then you may as well let Toyota do the job, at least it is going to be a good job not like the sad stories we hear on this forum from various members.

I was thinking this too ! I don't think i could justify paying over a grand now. I pay £450 and I'm 25. Tinygsy - Who are you insured with to be paying £250 !!!! How many NCB do you have too ? NFU is the national farmers union, great for insurance and you don't have to be a farmer to go with them. I just could not justify spending that sort of money on car insurance, mine is expensive but the car is very modified so I don't think the £495 I pay (comp. all mods declared, like for like replacement PNCB etc) is really that outrageous.

Quick update, I took a trip down yesterday to see how its all going, well worth it because the car is looking like an absolute monster now. The front end and interior is all back in, the turbo pipe work is 99% done and to cap it all James has put a hybrid turbo in and not the standard one, and the exhaust manifold and turbo housings are all shiny now...... nice... The questions over the crash bar have been answered and there is SUBSTANTIAL metal making up a custom one, the front bumper has been kept looking stock from the outside, but there isn't anything stock about the rest of it!! Certainly getting there now and I believe the end is in sight. Every part had had to be either made by fabricators, modded, cut, welded etc so much hard work has clearly gone on, really must be seen to appreciate the extent of work that goes into a job like this, I can't really complain about this bit of subtle advertising:. In fact I really like it!!

So sorry to see such damage to your Lex. Dent Devils are well worth a call, I know how much your car means to you so have a good feeling how you are feeling at the moment. Gutted for you.

It does get a bit complicated though when you start swapping ECU's around.

I am toying with the idea of a TTE sticker for mine, but its not a TTE Compressor, are there any turbo stickers from Toyota that would look good on an IS200? It would be nice to have something that looks authentic and NOT from Halfords.

I do wonder if lewis will leave the team if they bring him into more disrepute, or will he become like Alonso and poison to all but Renault. The team and Lewis have more than ever to prove now.

hehe, hi mate, i was all ways going to put a turbo on it from the start, if you ask me theres no point in puting the V8 in the IS if you not going to turbo or SC it as well, as the V8 is only 250BHP on its own, but then saying that the V8 is in alot lighter car now, it should be fun when its done :winky: You are right 250BHP would just not be worth it. Whats the power estimate with the turbo?
