  1. Sorry lets say £500? is that enough for a good sound
  2. the boot of an IS200 is pretty small, and I do use it a lot, so can the amp for my install be located under the passenger seat safely? Also save on wiring etc.... I like the look of the Alpine 5 channel amps so I will only need 1 of them to power the whole system, are these any good or is it best to go for separate ones, or at least a separate one for the sub? Also How do you match speaker wattages with amp wattages, to get good sound quality. I want sound quality over overall loudness.
  3. Well my brother just took delivery of his Audi A4 convertible, and his wife an Audi S3 both company cars. He doees work for IBM though so they are big enough to ride this climate.
  4. Aisin-Warner, make SAAB auto boxes also.
  5. Thats some serious power, watch out supercars.....
  6. Bit to much redex in the petrol I think
  7. depends what you have need an amp or 4 also..........
  8. I read somewhere the structure the diff sits on can bend to an extent with high torque/bhp cars? So yes just the GBox and Diff, I am sure there will be more to change but that is really for another day. 1st up is a new install of the stereo system which I will start in the summer. Thinking 1 or 2, 12" subs, 6*9's in the parcel shelf and components up front, but which make and how to get them in I have not looked at yet, I need a budget to blow first
  9. Very easy, Turbo will handle more boost, internals will handle a bit more boost, but putting forged ones in would be a wise move if more BHP is to be on the cards, more power will put the rest of the drive train (gearbox/diff etc) under a lot of stress so for reliability this is it. for the moment
  10. No bonnet closing problems (anymore) and the covers are covering the ECU's and other electrical things, to tidy up the engine bay. had a chat with James, so long as the tuner does not find any problems I should be able to pick the car up Friday am, so fingers crossed!!
  11. F'ing AMAZING. So can I will collect the beast sometime next week? giving you plenty of time to empty the huge amount of beer out of the MR2's boot!!
  12. These cars are iconic and absolutely unique!! Bad engine, worse gearbox, strange bodywork, really bad build quality (worse than Lagondas effort in the 80's) Still I would have one as a toy. At least if looked after it won't depreciate that badly now. Even back to the future jokes wouldn't put me off. I can't justify 18K though on a car ATM.
  13. Sundays are the only day I get off so any Sunday once I get my car back. Need some speakers fitting in the front and back..........
  14. Yes it does use CANBUS. to a bloody annoying degree as well if your trying to install a standalone ecu! LOL, cars getting far to clever these days.
  15. Yea, but you can't go to Brighton in your washing machine now can you?? LMAO, mine won't go to Brighton at the moment anyway!!
  16. My washing machine passes this test its an LG with direct drive
  17. My worst so far was the inside of my lip closely followed by the inside of the elbows, I have 1 line going into my armpit that woke me up for sure!!!
  18. A lot of car for the money!!
  19. Always been interested in tat designs but never had one (yet) smile.gif Come over and we can sort that problem out. 20. Yea, I did laugh but has physics changed recently? \not that I would try it on my car :D
  21. this one got me thinking rather to hard for a Saturday, and it looks like there are many companies offering this type of product, however the most interesting read I found was a NASA report stating this technology does in fact work, take a look Its a bit long but is conclusive.
  22. The electrical requirements to split water into its base elements are huge, surely this will be a huge drain on a cars alternator and electrical systems?
