  1. Sounds interesting - and there's one near me too. Any rough idea how much they cost? hi had a quote of about £350 for my IS 200,its takes about 3 to 3 and half hours to build and fit.
  2. hi,you could try longlife exhausts - they will build you a stainless steel 1 while you wait, you can even choose your own tail pipe and what noise level you want.Check them out on the net, having mine done soon - have used them before.
  3. don't worry, i'm sure nobody will miss you could go into the reasons why people lower their cars, but frankly i think the ones that get it get it, and the ones that dont, dont. guess what good luck and all the best Hi did not post an alternative view/opinion for my person to be attacked, its just a candid opinion thats all,how it is taken is up to those that read it.please keep it real and sensible and be mature about it.

hi i agree, but having waited in vain i had no choice, checked ebay and other sites nothing,my current disc is a 2002 - a bit old now.
  6. Hi I understand and accept its a personal thing, but really dont understand 'the lowering craze'lowering within reason is fine, but some just take it too far.More and more roads now have speed humps, sleeping policemen etc,so you cant even go over them without wondering what damage is it going to do to my stainless steel exhaust?my front spilter etc.I have seen many a car with damaged exhausts, cracked spliters etc all because they have been lowered too far.Sorry wont be joining the lowering craze my is 200 sports is fine as it is.
  7. Hi the washer bottle is located on the same side as your battery which is on the left hand side(i assume your car is a right hand drive). The washer bottle is to the left of your steering and your power steering bottle is on the same side as your steering, hope this helps.
  8. Hi,well i have always closed mine with the open/close switch(as that is what it is there for)rather than ignition.
  9. Hello, Changed my battery about six mths ago and did not have any problems with my sat nav.what happens if you use the open and close switch?does it close properly?you might have to close it manually then and hopefully this will reset it.Had a lexus is 200 sat nav that i sold recently and you could open and close it without manually without it being connected,so would give it a try - that is shutting it manually, hope this helps.
  10. good, reasonable price too, atleast u will now have peace of mind in the fact that its been done
  11. hi,good idea have it done asap, its 4 years overdue irregardless of milage, sorry dont live in newcastle, but you should be able to find 1 if lexus are too expensive.

  13. Hi, sorry about the crash, well you might not lose the car as you could buy it off the insurance company if it is written off(economic write off - that is where the car is considered by the insurance company as being not worth repairing due to cost of repair and value of car) and have it repaired.Once owned a mazda xedos 6 that got written off so bought it back of the insurance company and had it repaired. So if it does get written off ask if you can buy it back once they have paid out. hi gr8 news good on you.make sure they do a good job.
  14. hi there, for your car the answer is a no,the earlier models dont have the postcode option, not sure if the updated discs do provide this option. However the new IS range does have the postcode option.
  15. hi and welcome to LOC,There is a fact sheet you can have a look at,click on the IS 200/300 Forum and you will find it.There are quite a few differences, and quite a few owners make their SE's look like the sports model(says alot haha).Personally i prefer the sports.
  16. hi,i found it through a link from another site.
  17. hi no you wont have to,just take old battery out and put new one in,changed mine a while ago no problems.
  18. hi, if its got a beams yahama then it has 210bhp.For some reason(think its due to being less strict on emissions) jap cars built for the home market tend to have a higher bhp than those built for the european/british market. The same applies to the Mazda RX8 - European 192/231 bhp - japan 250bhp.
  19. hi hoping am not being :tsktsk: but if u know how much they cost why ask?you can get a colour coded sports grill from lexus birmingham who also trade on ebay for about £45,a sports spoiler with brake light will cost you more than £30 and they are bolted down.
  20. hi,sorry about your headgasket going,i would seek a 2nd opinion and if it really is your h/gasket it wont be a cheap job as you are looking a a few hundred quid.
