hi,would advice you to try the lexus update web site,as there are different disc for different years and generations of cars.looking for one myself and the only choice i have is the update site and disc costs about £145.00

hi,personally i prefer the bridgestones,had them on my last IS 200.currently have bridgestones on the front and falkens on the rear of my current IS 200(HOPING TO CHANGE THE TO BRIDGESTONE SHORTLY),think they are great all round,had toyo on my mazda xedos 6 and although they grip well they tend to wear quick as made of a softer compound.

hello,in theory your 3 buttoned key is your master key and it is always advised that when buying a lexus make us it has one and that it works.Even lexus tell u that without the master they cant make u a spare.Always better to be safe than sorry.

hi,what seems to baffle me is that quite a few people dont seem to take changing cambelts seriously when due seriously - manual says 6yrs or a 100000 which ever comes first, so if the car is 6yrs old and has done 20,000 or is 3yrs old and done 100,000 it needs changing either way.Please put thinking caps on it saves money and grief in the long run.

hi,had a friend who had a ford mondeo with tha same problem,had to have a new speedo put in.On a more serious not his milage was also well out - so u might also have the milage on your car showing less than its actually done.

hi have you tried opening the bonnet(by pulling the release button inside the car)then leaving the car till the immobiliser light (the red/orange flashing light)in your instrument cluster starts flashing and then try and open the bonnet - the alarm should go off if it doesnt then you have got an alarm problem,hope this helps.

hi and welcome to LOC, well as you say the red light doen't come on.would suspect it the battery,so would suggest you change that first hopefully should be okay thereafter.

hi,its a sat nav for the 2nd generation IS and a damaged one for that matter.Without being rude I think some members lexus owners need to get real,some issues and questions raised can easily be answered or sorted with a little bit of common sense - saves a lot of time and money in the long run.

hiya,I wouldn't worry too much about it,as the others have said the engine and cat do produce a bit of water and this is just the final part of the process being burnt off,It tends to be more noticable when the engine is cold and first thing in the morning,would begin to worry if you had it all day and everyday.

hiya,always best to do ur research first,the only thing you can do with the housing is try and fit an after market sat nav into it.I had a non navigator and bought a lexus sat nav,housing,wiring loom,module/player and then found out its too much hassle,time and money to have it fitted,so I have a lexus navigator.

I guess Im loath to phone them , cos every time I have phoned any breakers in the past! the prices for Lexus seems to be ridiculously high!!!! (eg. recently had an M.O.T. needed a new caliper, and some other stuff! breakers wanted anything form 50 to 120! honestly quid for a caliper! the mechanic doing my work got a new one for £90!) hi give them a try u can always say no or its too expensive cant u ?

hi,welcome to loc,check out pistonhead,ebay,autotrader,am sure you will find something with change to spare too,make sure if 6yrs old irregardless of milage cambelt,tensioners etc have been done/changed
