hello, it worked for me,could be you might have the wrong transponder/transmitter as another member had a similar problem-he had wrongly bought one for a LS400 which when he programmed would lock and unlock the car but wouldnt start it.Eventually he got one for the IS 200 and it worked 1st time.Hope this helps.

hi,as far as i can tell they dont often fail as i have owned two IS 200's and has never been an issue,try giving the casing a few gentle taps/knocks and spray again with WD 40 and see what happens.

hi,you have probably bought the wrong disc off ebay,take out your old disc(assuming you have one)and write down the numbers,then go to the lexus map updates web site and put these numbers in,it should give you the latest disc update along with a part number.You could also phone up lexus and see if they would provide you with the disc number.I also made the mistake of buying the wrong discs off ebay,before opting for the latest updates.Hope this helps

hi,well its a matter of what you want,a lot of roads streets and places of interest have changed,been added on,updated etc in the last five years all over the uk.I got the latest discs for my Is 200 a few months ago and they cost me £139.00p but well worth it.Furthermore they are not particularly easy to copy either,so is down to you and how much you need them or can do without them.

Hi hope am not being silly,but does look very similar to what i had in mine before i opted for a piper cross one.The standard ones ie the one off ebay and the piper-cross,k and n etc admittedly do look different but both seem to fit.

Hi,i dont think they were made with a full stainless steel exhaust system(they have a stainless steel tail pipe only)however you can buy one or have one custom made.

hi you might even be lucky and find some1 who will swap theirs(non spoiler boot lid for yours?There are people looking for a bootlid with spoiler.

hi,press the same button inwards or one near it(if i am not wrong)and this should eject the disc,however make sure the bit that slides across is open and not closed enabling the disc to eject(hope this makes sense?) As above did mine couple of weeks ago...open slide..push and hold until ejection!! Found it! The cd seemed clean, but the 2003/2004 version but it kept coming up with "check data cd". I'm using the original one now but it came up with that error agina, I unplugged it and plugged them back in firmly. Hi the middle light works with your doors,the front doesnt as it is not meant, its a courtesy light okay.Hope this helps explain why it doesnt come on when you open the door(s).

hi sorry to hear about your keys,really you should have one 3 buttoned key/fob(black) and one 2 buttoned key fob(grey),these are the only 2 that will start the car,the black being the master. if you now have neither well you might have to go to lexus or possibly look at changing the barrels/ecu.Hope this helps.

Hi lexynik is right as i found that out myself as i tried to get spare tyre out by lifting it up from the side nearest the boot lid rather than the side nearest the rear seats.Its definately easier from the side nearest the rear seats.

hi, well it depends on what you want really,will start with the last bit of your question(s).if you are after power and speed or economy then maybe you should look elsewhere for everything else choose a lexus is 200.Bought my first is 200 sports with 49,000mls for £6995 a few years ago and my 2nd(a navigator) with 55,000mls for £5995 both from independent car dealers.The prices you mention in your piece seem to be within reason however prices do seem to vary a lot.Take your time and have a good look at a few before making up your mind.If you go for one that is six years or over make sure the cambelt has been done irregardless of milage also check service history.Hope this helps?no doubt others will add to it.

LS400 obtained cheaply. My merc is getting too rusty so Lexus will do me for a couple of years which is all I expect to have. Will probably have to fork out some £8/900 for repairs. SatNav is obviously out of date but am unwilling to pay the £120 dealer wants. Probably will use instaled unless I can get one a lot cheaper. Any ideas anyone please? hi,if your sat nav has a disc find where it is,take it out,see what year it is and write down the disc numbers.Then input the numbers at the lexus mapupdates(i think it will be pinned here soon) and see what it numbers gives you for your update disc.You could then decide whether to buy it or go for a slightly older disc update eg 06 or 07 etc.Hope this helpps.

Hi, try what parthiban suggested and if that doesnt work you might have a blown bulb or a sticking door switch.
