  1. hi yes it is possible, you can try lexusmapupdates or cheaptoyotaparts got my 2009/10 disc from them and it cost me £139.00p,your might be slightly cheaper,as regards your 2nd question without reading my manual i don't know.
  2. hi,alternatvely try your nearest lexus dealer, cost me about 11 quid(incl p&p) when I wanted one for my 1st IS 200 assuming you cant find one on ebay or the garage you bought the car from.
  3. hi,wouldnt go for the toyos, good grip due to softer compound but wear too quick, got bridgestones on front(a bit of road noise though) and goodyear f1 asy on the rear(cant fault them, just got them and definitely a lot better than the Falkens ze912's(think they are crap) I had on prior.
  4. Hi,you might need to get our current disc out of the car and write down the 1st set of numbers under the DVD ROM log usual starts with 08927 or 86271(as in my case)and then go to the lexus map updates web site and put these numbers in,this will then give you a set of numbers which becomes your latest map updates(hope this makes sense?).You can then order it from the update web site or in my case I ordered them from cheaptoyotaparts and it costs me £139.00p.My disc updates was pz445-x01eu-09 and came in a set of 3 discs.Hope this helps. Hi What was the full 86271 code for your disks? My car had no disks when I bought it and the dealer wants £175 whereas Lexus map update site quotes £140 for the disks. The dealer gave me the full part number, but the sites need the 86271 code or equivalent. Dealer says I need PZ445-X01EU. Many thanks in advance hi there, sorry i dont have my old discs, however my 2010 disc part number is PZ445-X01EU-10,Go on the web to cheaptoyotaparts, email them or give them a call, they will probably ask for you vin number and should be able to order you one.hope this helps.

hi,sorry about bad news, you might struggle getting them as lexus no longer do them and have replaced then with the round colour coded 1s.Your best bet would be ebay or a scrap yard, keeping the 2 i have incase i need them.
  8. hi,there must be some other problem with it, I have three sets of keys and yesterday noticed that the red light on my 2 button key fob was dead and wasnt flashing or opening the car(last used it about 5 months ago)so just went out earlier today and bought 2 batteries and changed the old one and guess what pressto its worked 1st time.
  9. hi,try your nearest lexus or toyota dealer or cheaptoyotaparts web site.
  10. Hi did you try the one I sent you then?you might need to buy a new transponder if every thing else fails to get it to work and programme it using the guide I sent you.
  11. hi,sent you a pm a few days ago,did you try it?
  12. Hi, yes I would say its reasonable, had a cambelt, tensioner etc, water pump and service done on my IS 200 about a year by my independent garage at a cost of £595.
  13. hi,might sound silly but were they working before you changed the batteries?does the red light flash when you press the buttons?normally you shouldnt have any problems if just changing batteries, changed mine on my 1st IS 200 with no problems.Having read your second post you might have to try reprogramming it,that is assuming you have got one that works.
  14. Hi to be honest with you I dont think so,if the Is 200 is anything to go by(you cannot fit a Is 200(non sat nav) with a factory sat nav without the wiring loom etc Infact IS 200's with chasis numbers starting with 18 are near impossible while those starting with 19 you would need the wiring loom etc. Plug and play is only possible with like for like (mk 2 GS sat nav with mk 2 GS sat nav)hope this helps.
  15. Hi, have you checked under the bonnet or the inside of the drivers side door, there should be a sticker with tyre pressure, size and colour code along with some other info.
  16. Hi,the fact is that RWD and snow just dont go together(so lexus, mercs,bmw's,mx5's,rx8's etc are crap in the snow on normal tyres)you have all the power at the back and little weight which equals wheel spin and your back end sliding out of place, have been told that deflating all 4 tyres by 2 psi does help but havent tried it out yet.
  17. hi,you should have checked your dipstick as you were pouring in the oil,the best way to get a proper reading is when the engine is cold not when its warm or with the engine running. What you have put in should be okay and you can always top it up if need be once you have got a proper reading.
  18. Hi probably same as mine, but just to be on the safe side get in touch with ACLex(by sending him a PM)with your vin number and i am sure he will be able to help, alternatively you could also try cheaptoyotaparts by emailing them with your request and vin number.Until you get the proper part number dont buy any disc(s) off ebay as chances are you will end up with the wrong disc(s)hope this helps.
  19. hi,do your homework,be careful what you buy, will fail mot - emissions, personally would take it back and ask for one that has it fitted.
  20. Hi,most cars nowadays no longer have ht leads,so except you are on about something else, as has already been said you sadly wont find any :duh:
  21. Hi yes i would say thats reasonable, although you could also try ebay or a few breakers(might not have same colour though) and compare prices and take it from there. The choice is yours.
  22. Hi,glad to be of assistance, yes its easy when you know how.Yes you can get upgrades,I have the 2009/10,however not cheap as mine cost £139 from cheaptoyotaparts. If you can get hold of the disc numbers for your current disc(that is the one in your car)input it into the lexusmapudates web site and it should give you the latest update part number and cost, you can then take it from there.
  23. Hi,had a similiar problem with my first IS 200 (gladly dont have it with my current one)I sprayed it with WD40 a couple of times and it did help. However if you want to get at the washer jets you will to take the front bumper off.hope this helps
  24. hi, try this, push the menu button on your controller,to display the menu screen, then select edit route, then select delete destinations and then select delete all if you want to delete all previous destination, hope this helps,do let me know
  25. Hi,I know how you feel, had a similiar problem too, bought one off ebay turned out to be wrong set,so eventually ordered it through cheaptoyotaparts, it cost me £139(worth it for me).Even had a request in the wanted section but to no avail.
