  1. Hi are you after just the empty key fob and not the transponder? You have get the empty key fob with blade which will need cutting off "fleabay" cheap enough.
  2. Hi and congratulations, before buying one off ebay make sure you have the right disc(s)/part number as not all discs are compartible.Yours might be a cd rom rather than a dvd disc. They are different disc for different generations of sat nav.Hope this helps.
  3. so essentially I do not need to have the Cam Belt of Timing Belt change? Hi it rather surprises me that people find it rather difficult to follow simple instructions/guidelines,your cam belt is due a change therefore get it changed 6yrs,60,000mls or as some say 100000 mls whichever comes 1st.So eventhough its only done 31,000mls its 6 years old this year so needs doing. However the choice is yours and if your cam belt goes you will only have yourself to blame and are looking at a big bill.Do the right thing a word is enough for the wise.
  4. Hi see attached file/picture,hope this helps and points you in the right direction. Its made by Sparkystav and costs 200 quid.
  5. Hi yes just use the housing of the oem nav and replace the inside with a sony nav, there have been a few sold on here and ebay too,a lot easier if you want to convert a non sat nav IS 200.
  6. Hi,yes to be honest with you i would knock it on the head, you are better off Custom fitting a widescreen(sony) satnav into it.You might be able to buy one off here or maybe ebay.My 1st IS 200 was a non sat nav one and went down the road of buying a complete lexus sat nav including wiring loom etc only to discover it was too much hassle so scrapped the idea.
  7. Hi to be honest with you its very difficult and not worth the bother, what did you buy?just the screen and housing?did you buy the wiring loom and the module(player)that fits in the boot?if the answer is no to last two questions then am sorry the answer is a definite no.
  8. Hi prices look reasonable, similar to what i paid for mine about 14 months ago.
  9. Hi I would say about/between 750 - 800
  10. Hi alternatively phone up lexus with your vin number and they should be able to help, you could equally try cheaptoyotaparts.
  11. Hiya and welcome to the LOC,hope its all you expect it to be and more, have no regrets in owning a Lexus
  12. Hi,what year is it?not sure it has one(phone lexus and ask),probably just a case of putting in new battery and switching radio on.If it does have one and you havent got it,you might need an audio electrian to re code it,hope this helps.
  13. Hi,can't fault that for customer service can you?more dealers need to try harder - its all about customer satisfaction and Lexus do come up ace.
  14. Hi, you will have to have the key/blade cut using your current key and then programme it using the directions/instructions on here or i could forward it to you as i have also got them. hello that would be great scudney thanks i don't know how to remove the old blade as they are sealed so i'll have to buy an empty blank and swap the transponder to that i suppose? hi,hope you can find a good key cutter, take your old one with you and he should be able to cut the blade on the new one using the old one as a template, you could then swap the transponder over to the new one.
  15. Hi, you will have to have the key/blade cut using your current key and then programme it using the directions/instructions on here or i could forward it to you as i have also got them.
  16. Hi well it all depends, had my cambelt changed at 55,000,and the water pump was found to be leaking slightly so had that changed as well, both cost me £595.Its best having both changed, and as both are inter linked you really dont pay any extra in terms of labour apart from the cost of the water pump.Hope this helps.
  17. Hi there, toyos are great(had them on my mazda zedos 6) but because they are made of a softer compound they do tend to wear pretty quick, personally wouldn't buy falkens, had them on the rears of my IS 200 when I bought it and think they are cheap and nasty, since changed to Goodyear F1 asy,had Bridgestones on my 1st IS 200.
  18. hi, is your boot lock in the horizontal or vertical position? try both positions and see what happens.
  19. Hi,I think its reasonable, had a custom made s/s exhaust(by longlife exhausts) on my Mazda xedos 6 about 5 years ago, cost £349.00p and couldn/t fault it,never got round to have one on my 1st IS but will be doing same with my current IS 200 shortly
  20. Hi,not sure if timpson can but you can give them a try(they cant in northampton)once cut just unscrew the old fob, take out the transponder and put it in the new one and screw back.
  21. Hi,buy a plastic casing and key blade off ebay or elsewhere, havv the key cut and then transfer the transponder from the old key fob to the new one.
  22. Hi,you can try cheaptoyotaparts,or buy off ebay(but be careful you dont buy the wrong disc),copies tend not to work so the choice is yours.Mines a dvd one and cost me £139.00 from cheaptoyotaparts.
  23. Hi,dont think it is normal for your voltage on your voltage dial to fluctuate,on starting the car it should gradually move up and stop at about 14 amps.Could be that you have a fault with the alternator which is in turn not charging the battery properly, hope this helps.
  24. If the cambelt is due a change after 6 years which its is on the IS 200,I would have it done irregardless of milage, had mine done at 55000mls,the last thing you want is a snapped cambelt better to be safe than sorry.
