Hi,well in that case give it a try and see how it goes,at the end of the day its your call, time and effort but do bear in mind theres no guarantee it will work.
Hi I was going to go down that route a few years ago when I bought my 1st IS 200 sports but having read through some threads on here decided against it as its near impossible(apparently some of the wiring looms are different and then theres also the issue of cars with chasis numbers starting with 19).Furthermore even if you found a compartible one you would have to strip out most of the interior just to fit the sat nav and its auxillary parts and theres no guarantee it would work.It would probably be easier for you to do an engine swap rather than fit a oem sat nav.Alternatively you could use the sat nav housing and fit it with an after market one eg a Sony as some members on here have done.Hope this helps.
Hi best thing to do is have them properly refurbished - stripped, powder coated etc, will probably cost in the region of 50/60 quid a corner or go for something different, choice is yours.
Hi thats a shame,no harm in checking just to make sure you havent the disc for western europe as mine came with 3 and not four discs(when i got it thought 1 was missing but phoned and was told it came with 3)
Hi try taking it to a tyre centre/fitter and see if they can do anything to help, probably better than you trying to do it yourself and possibly causing more damage etc
hi,a shame about the locking wheels nuts,I am not sure the ones in the picture are oem ones and if they are they belong to the earlier models, having said that, you will probably struggle to find the exact match as there are so many different combinations although they look alike.
Hi sadly i dont think you will get a refund, having said that there does seem to be a lot of illegal plates on cars - no postcode,no BSU,wrong fonts,mis-spacing etc
Hi the IS 200 is generally not an economic car( in terms of fuel economy),what sort of runs are you doing(are they short town ones?)and how you drive too may also be contributing factors as well as when the car last had a service.
hi,you need the disc for western europe not north - my 2010 version has 3 discs - west, central and north. If you have the disc for west insert that and see, hope this helps.
hi,you might have 1 missing, although when i bought mine they were only three, but am sure 1 of them was western europe will check when i get in from work tomorrow and let you know.
Hi so what disc have you actually got in the car now?you would need the disc for western europe.Always worth knowing what you are really looking for before takig a chance and buying as chances are you end up with te wrong one(s)
Hi there out of curiousity what brand of screen did you have fitted?as there have been a few issue with those that had the pilkington ones fitted(water leaking etc) and tread on here recommend going for the oem ones
hi,make sure the tensioner, idler etc are also changed and the waterpump too.Looking at the picture i dont think its been changed at all,how old is the car and what milage has it done.
Hi,they are rare and can be sometimes be expensive but they do pop up on here and on ebay every now and again so be on the look out, alternatively you can still buy them brand new if you have got the money
Hi have it changed asap.its supposed to be changed every six years or 60,000mls,which ever comes first, looking at it seems as if its never been changed, you are looking at an expensive repair if it does snap, better safe than sorry.
Hi as suggested i would have both the atf and the filter changed just to be on the safe side. I know with the IS 200 sport( manual), it is recommended that you change the gear box oil/fluid and the lsd oil every 60,000 miles.
