  1. Hi,pm ACLex and he may be able to help you with the part number and possibly a disc too, however I know they are not cheap and if you go down the ebay route be careful not to buy the wrong disc as has happened to a few, hope this helps.
  2. hi if you read the 1st tread properly it says clearly an oem sat nav from a 1998 car and not an aftermarket one.Of course you can fit an aftermarket stereo with sat nav into most cars.
  3. Hi,to be honest with you I dont think its possible especially if you are trying to fit a non sat nav car with a sat nav,as the wriring looms are different.Furthermore if we are to use the IS 200 as reference - it is almost near impossible to fit a non sat nav IS 200 with a OEM sat nav.
  4. Hello, chances are you will not be able to fit a non sat nav car with an oem one as the wiring looms would be different amongst other things and wont make economic sense either (as is the case with the Is 200) .Be cheaper tom get a tomtom or try and adapt an after market sat nav to fit
  5. Hello,if you are after the "star shaped" ones you can get them off ebay or you could get the updated ones which are now colour coded but no star shaped. You could send ACLex a pm as he might be able to help you.
  6. hello, like Mars said its 60,000 miles or 6 years whichever comes 1st.Furthermore its cheaper in the long run changing your waterpump ,tensioner etc at the same time too as you dont really pay anymore in labour costs only parts.I would have it done now as it would cost you lots more if it fails.
  7. Hello, personally dont think you will find any for sale as they are rare or be prepared to wait a long time, however you can still get them brand new but they will cost you an arm and a leg.
  8. Hello, personally I think with tyres its a matter of choice and how much you want to or are prepared to spend. You pay for what you get.I have never liked budget tyres so have stayed well clear of them, currently have Continentals on my IS,have in the past also had Bridgestones,Goodyears,Uniroyals,Dunlops,Toyos etc, also had a pair of Falkens on a car I bought, didnt like them in the rain and had them changed. If you cant afford top of the range then go for middle of the range but not budget why compromise grip and handling.Hopefully the tyre reviews should help you in making an informed choice.
  9. Hi,yes I would, great idea that way you would have a rough idea if its the new plugs or not
  10. i've just put six denso coil packs on one month ago. Hi,now that you have mentioned that you had the coil packs changed too you might want to take it to a garage and have it checked out as you shouldnt have to adjust the gap on the plugs.
  11. Hi I wouldn't think its the disc\cd, its most likely is for want of another word the "gps locator" that might have come loose therefore not giving you the true position of your car.
  12. Hi,nothing wrong with the plugs, sounds like you might have a problem with one of your coil packs
  13. hello I have currently got nkg iridium plugs in mine, before that had Bosch super 4s,hope this helps.

Hi,its down to personal taste and choice, personally I dont particularly like them(dont think there are many after market alloys) that suit the IS 200.However if you do like them I dont see why not although do bear in mind that the ones in your link will not fit the Lexus as the fitments are wrong. You should however be able to get them with the correct fitment, hopen this helps.
  15. Hi as per Tigerfish's response you probably have a blown bulb, also check your third brake light(parcel shelf)if you have one, hope this helps.
  16. Hi,sadly no you cant,no worth the hassle.you have got a couple of options - you could buy an after market doudle din stereo with sat nav build it or see if you could find a sony sat nav built into an IS sat nav housing.there is a picture of one some where in the buy and sell archive.
  17. Hi since its a double din you could fit as a replacement stereo as it should fit and would serve as a sat nav too. However if you want to go down the route of an after market sony sat nav inside a Lexus Is 200 housing - go to the buy and sell section and under archive section look for IS 200 sat nav with built in sony unit.Hope this helps
  18. Hi,yes I have heard of Blueprint and they are pretty good, have used them too.
  19. Hello,it should mute the drivers side speaker, you should also me able to go into your menu and adjust the volume too.
  20. Hi,its not worth the money nor hassle to be honest with you.You are better off getting a OEM sat nav housing with screen and then fitting for example a Sony sat nav into it - there is a thread on here somewhere on this topic(try a search on sat nav and see what you find).Alternatively keep your eyes open on here and ebay and you might find one come up for sale sooner or later.Have a look in the for sale section - buy and sell archive and look for Satnav Unit With Built In Sony Satnav and you will see what i mean.hope this helps.
  21. Hi,they seem to be wrong as they usually are 215.45.17
  22. Hi,you should be able to see or locate a small black button that you press to eject the disc if i am not wrong, regarding the cigarette lighter, locate the fuse box take the cover off and on the inside of the cover you should find a list of what fuses are for what, alternatively have a look at the owners manual if you have one and it should tell you.hope this helps
  23. Hi you could have got one slightly cheaper if you had gone to a lexus dealership, bought one a few years ago for about 12 quid, all the same hope its useful.
  24. Hi you can buy one and install it yourself, updated mine last year as old disc was out of date at a cost of £139.00(not cheap)from cheaptoyotaparts or you could contact ACLex on here.
  25. Hi like ANDY said you have got to be a gold member, furthermore although some members might think different but to be honest with you,you are better off putting it on ebay.
