  1. I believe as you said it is a 40mm drop on the standard IS and would only be a 25mm drop on the sport. People have different opinions on how low you can go but generally the feeling is 40 mm can be done just with springs but any lower and you should really go with coilovers. Tenzo r springs do a 50mm drop but dont no what theyre like.
  2. Hehe i know its not nice to laugh at others problems as it would annoy me aswell. But it reminds me of that top gear episode when they where in india and clarkson and hammond wired mays horn up to his brake lights! So every time he touched the brakes his horn went off haha classic. Sorry i couldnt help. Doesnt the alarm have a seperate ecu though? Maybe thats faulty.
  3. Yes very easy mate, just plug n play. I have a kit from hids4u and cant fault it. You could just put original bulbs back in for mot if your bothered.
  4. A blowtorch i think would be best or not!
  5. I believe headlight washers and winscreen washers are on the same fuse. so are your windscreen washers working?
  6. not from new no. Toyota stopped making them a while ago now. just have to keep searching the web.
  7. Mate! Gutted for you. Good luck with everything though.
  8. What its worth and what people will pay for it are two completely different things lol. Im like you though, i love it and never intend on selling it.
  9. Why did you get rid of the Impreza???? I cant wait to get one! Not that Ill get rid of my lex. Cant really help with the nav problem. Can only really suggest that you take the disc out, wipe it and try again. Welcome to the club anyhow.
  10. Hmm not sure then really. Maybe just a freak thing that will never happen again.
  11. Good stuff. Thanks for that. Ive never seen one over here before.
  12. Ok so Ive just put it on the car for the first time and it looks awesome! Cant wait to get it sprayed. Im assuming the gap between the bumper and the plastic undertray is meant to be like that. I know the standard bumpers dont have a gap but this one is different at the end of the day. Anyway heres some pics.
  13. Looks nice you need to get that exhaust polished up though lol and dont sell your scooby! Give it to me lol I love em.
  14. Id say itll probably just go back to normal once you fill up again. Let us know what happens.
  15. Just checked the number plate on my standard bumper is 520 mm wide the gap on this new one is 335 mm. hmmm
  16. Cheers for the replies. Ill get something sorted with the plate. Im not spraying myself no. Id rather just get it done right first time haha. So if anyone knows of a good bodyshop in the nottingham area please let me know. Needs abit of filling and prep work doing.
  17. Hi all won this on ebay the other day and just got it. It needs a respray as it has a few scuffs and cracks but it looks awesome in my opinion. The listing said it was geniune toyota but im not so sure now. It doesnt say toyota on it anywhere but i cant remember if my other bumper does or not. It is however plastic and not fibreglass which is good. anyway what you think? Not sure ive seen one of these before. Also it does come with fogs but havent received them yet. Sorry about the poor quality photos, best i can do tonight. will get some more when i trial fit it.
  18. Maybe theyre just aftermarket ones. dont they have any name on at all?
  19. A good hid kit will not dazzle oncoming vehicles. Its only kits with a poor light spread that will do that. I got mine from hids4u. never had any problem. Just make sure you dont buy any cheap ebay ones. So the answer is no, you dont need projectors.
  20. After a normal drive around town for example, put your hand near the wheel/disc. If you feel quite abit of heat coming off, chances are its a siezed caliper. Compare the temperature with the other wheels to get an idea of how warm they should be. You could also jack the car up and try spinning the wheels by hand. They should spin freely. Also listen for the discs catching in places. and not to be offensive or anything but just remember the handbrake is on the rear wheels lol just some people i think forget that.
  21. If you look below the battery in the bulkhead there is a rubber grommet that I have ran 2 wire through on mine. Bit of a pig to get through but can be done. Take the glove box out and you can easily see it up to the left with a torch.
  22. This chip is for a diesel IS220D. This is on about petrol IS200 cars..
  23. Welcome to the club mate the IS looks nice. I WANT A GO ON THAT BIKE!!!!
