  1. Rear seat needs to come out to change the filter. Not sure how much they are - could be expensive as they are not normally changed.
  2. May well have brake by wire. It will on a hybrid version.
  3. That will never happen. It will just be designed better. There again the new model won't be using a 25 year old engine either.
  4. The dealer should order new wheels if they are under warranty so you may get the problem again. If you get them refurbed in the future then they should be fine after that.
  5. I would think they are the same compressor Steve. Best way to be sure would be to ask Chris to check the part numbers.
  6. Claire get a rear parking sensor fitted. Very difficult to judge the rear. Get one like Rodders if you don't want to drill holes in the bumper.
  7. This is a common issue with the gearbox design changing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Not all gearboxes will do it so you should get it sorted under warranty.
  8. Ask your dealer to test drive them both. Should be able to get 12 or 24 hours in each which should make up your mind.
  9. It would be worth asking to view them before bidding. The old one does look damaged although it may just be the picture/corrosion that makes it look that way.
  10. Yes, the cable may just need re-seating or it has a cracked track.
  11. All the new models are based on designs from the LF-S and LF-X concepts. Don't expect the IS to look exactly like it in the same way the new GS doesn't.
  12. I think the main problem is you cannot read the service history and cannot easily check it is true. However a quick phone call to a Lexus dealer will confirm if the stamps are genuine for a UK car.
  13. Not all the wheels have this problem. It depends who makes the wheels.
  14. I've used a pressure washer on my engines, never a problem. If the engine is very dirty/greasy then apply Gunk first, leave for a while and then wash off.
  15. Sports seem to sell better. But unless you get one from Europe you cannot get the sport in auto form so I guess you need to decide if you want an auto or not. Personally I think you should get an IS300 ;)
  16. Nice one Claire. Are the pads squeaking all the time or only when braking? If only when braking then the pads probably just need to be removed and copper grease applied to them. Shaking when braking may be the discs although I would check tyre pressures, get the wheels fully aligned and the wheel nuts tightened to the correct torque first.
  17. On a serious note, if you use an extension cord try to get a fourway then you can all 4 kettles going and have a nice little tea party! sorry A kettle uses about 8amps so any more than one will blow the fuse on an extension lead :o
  18. The IS will be a bit worse than your Celica on fuel.
  19. I don't think you will find a GS300 as quick as the Senator as it is heavier.
  20. The TTE 10" wheel is available in +40 and +45 offset. You would need to check both wheels are the same. Not sure what offset the Lexus ones are?
