  1. Mobile phone masts, phones themselves, other RF equipment, WiFi etc have been known to screw with the signal.
  2. If your MOT is due around the same time, most of the extra visual checks in the full service, would be part of the test. That would just leave the brake fluid change to deal with.
  3. TOM'S make a kit for the 09-10 model. It can even be ordered pre-painted in 077. TOM'S Racing
  4. Indeed. I first looked on lexuspartsdirect and noticed they were £300+ each. Insane price for a piece of stamped steel.
  5. Yes. Here is the other side. Expensive for what they are.
  6. ATS Euromaster have them listed on their site for £200 each.
  7. Also, what about the physical size of some of these SUVs?. They're just as big as a van, which is subject to lower speed limits than a "car" on certain roads. I wonder if they'd still be as popular if you could legally only do 50mph in one? 😉
  8. I'm guessing they can't open the car via the fob due to the 12v battery being dead, or very low. I experienced this scenario a few years ago when the dashcam had drained my battery low enough for the fob to be ineffective. You can open the car with the physical key if you pop off the door handle cover to reveal the keyhole. Be aware though that an intruder alarm siren will probably sound once you open the door...and it will not stop! So, be ready to pop the bonnet quickly and have a 10mm spanner or socket ready to hand so you can disconnect the battery terminal. As Len says, more info required. But yes, a jump start from another source will be needed.
  9. ISF wheels are also 8" wide and +45, but they actually need a 5mm spacer to clear the front IS350 brakes due to them having less backspacing than an OEM 18" wheel. Backspace is the physical real estate between the mating surface of the wheel and the spokes. ie: where the caliper is going to be. You would have to work out how much space is required for a wheel to clear a GS caliper. I don't know what that is offhand, but I'm sure the answer wouldn't be hard to find since it's a fairly common upgrade. Then, you would have to measure the wheels you plan to buy and see if there's going to be enough room.
  10. The SR was a pre-facelift model with the old style 2005-09 bumper, which has a separate lip add-on (even on non-SR models). Whereas, your F-Sport has the 2009-11 bumper, which is all one piece. You would need to get an aftermarket lip.
  11. Staggering winter tyres is fine. But, in theory, skinny tyres cope better in snow. Could be tight. Will depend on your wheel design. OEM 18" wheels (with et45 offset) only have a few mm of clearance.
  12. Should fit easily. The narrowest point between the wheel wells, is approx 750mm. Which, according to Google, is just over 29"
  13. Or wet clothes. Jacket, hat etc belong in the boot if they're wet, otherwise they'll also be a contributing factor.
  14. For me, it would be my first car. A mk1 Fiesta XR2. 800kg apparently. Not mine, but was also a Y reg and this colour.
  15. Try and find a garage or workshop with an induction heating tool, specifically designed for freeing rusted or siezed bolts. eg: "Bolt Buster" or similar. Works in much the same way as using an oxyacetylene torch, only the operation is localised and flameless.
