  1. Yes. But you might need to remove or reposition the air filter housing, or washer fluid filler neck, to gain adequate access.
  2. From memory, I'm not sure it's possible to fit them upside down. There's only one way for them to lock in place. Could be the bulb has a fingerprint on it, or it's just diminished with age.
  3. I've no idea how the steering could be misaligned by as much as 30 degrees just by swapping wheels. That's just bizarre. It shouldn't be affected. At all. I've swapped the wheels on my own car countless times during the past 6 years and it still drives straight and true with no evidence of abnormal tyre wear. Anyway, it sounds like your experience has been less than satisfactory. I would invest in a decent trolley jack and wheel brace, so a trip to the dealer can be eliminated for something as simple as a wheel swap.
  4. I would want the newest tyres on the driven wheels too, but I think this policy being enforced is because worn tyres on the front axle will likely result in understeer, and understeer is viewed as more "safe" for the average driver to deal with.
  5. I think Ryobi make a cordless one. There's also various "leaf blowers" out there but they tend to be rather large and unwieldy, and noisy. A damp microfibre is also my favoured method, but a dryer eliminates the drive round the block step. I have a cheap one I got from ebay a few years ago and it's ideal for trapped water inside mirrors, wheel nuts etc.
  6. Nope. @markeyszoo has an 09+ facelift car. The bumper is all one piece.
  7. I don't think the discount has been applied to those prices. Either that, LPD's prices have increased dramatically in recent times. An intermediate service kit only cost me £67 in August 2020. Now the same thing is £100. I guess engine oil pricing might have gone up due to Putin's shenanigans, but a quick look on ebay suggests not really.
  8. You can get CC2s in the USA in the 4RX size, so it could be there's enough demand now for them to be made available in the UK. Or, yeah it could be a typo. A call to your local ATS centre should hopefully clarify things. Re: 55 vs 50 profile Almost an inch drop in rolling radius.
  9. ATS Euromaster's parent company is Michelin, so maybe they have the inside track on it becoming available in that size.
  10. That rear wheel offset is likely too aggressive. Would probably poke outside the wheel well.
  11. @ColinBarber On a related note, do you know why a 2011 IS250 slots into the lower Band J? Any mechanical differences responsible for the lower emissions and better fuel economy figures? (Combined MPG - 33.6 vs 31.0) The only difference I'm aware of is that the engine is factory-filled with 0w20 oil.
  12. £210 not a terrible price if that's them fitted? It cost me £180-ish for the parts alone when I replaced my rear brakes in 2020. That was Lexus gear and included a shim kit though.
  13. I've always liked the look of those wheels. 🙂 I don't think they were fitted to any cars as standard, but they were an optional wheel for the IS300h F-Sport (maybe other grades too) at one point. The owner of this car referred to them as "Nisshoku".
  14. I'm guessing so as that's how those doorbells work, right? (WiFi).
  15. On a 2010, the rear discs will be 310mm and vented. The other disc size available is a solid (non-vented) one. I believe these were phased out well before 2010.
  16. It seems thieves can also signal block these to prevent them recording. Someone on a local FB group reported that a gang of thieves had attempted to steal their car, and that their Ring doorbell had been blocked and hadn't recorded any footage of the event. 🤔
  17. There's no DCT in a IS250 F-Sport, or CVT, or even a manual option. It has a traditional torque converter auto box (6 speed). Since you mentioned 2008-2013, I'll assume you're interested in the 2nd-Gen IS. The F-Sport model was only available from 2010-2013. The first version was sold for the 2010 model year and was very well-equipped (almost SE-L spec). It was replaced with an updated version for MY2011 which wasn't quite as well-equipped, but had a more unique sporty & aggressive look. There's no real difference in terms of reliability regarding facelift or pre-facelift. The main difference is cosmetic or in terms of specification. Pre-facelift 2010 model has a few more toys and standard equipment - memory seats, auto-fold mirrors, electrically-adjustable steering wheel, and can be specced with Mark Levinson audio system. Facelift model doesn't have any of those previously-mentioned features. On the flipside, it looks a bit more modern and unique compared to the rest of the IS range thanks to the facelift bumper/spoiler and dark headlights. It also benefits from slightly better fuel economy and lower road tax. I've owned both variants, and personally, I prefer the looks of the 2011+ version that I have now, but the higher equipment level of the 2010 car was nice and can't be ignored, even if most of it is largely irrelevant once you've set the controls to your preference. The Mark Levinson stereo is a definite upgrade over the "normal" 13-speaker system in a facelift car, but it's not night and day, and the normal stereo is still really good. All versions have both USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

  19. Incredible example. £20K is probably too much, but then again it's virtually a brand new car, with a V8...for £20K. I'm sure if it was an LS it would sell no problem, but I'm not convinced there's the same level of "collector" vibe about this generation of GS.
  20. 204hp isn't it?. Not sure where that 208hp figure comes from (JDM?), but you always see that variant when searching for parts.
  21. Yes, hopefully that'll be the end of your woes. I've read/heard about hot weather being problematic for some dashcams with exploding batteries etc. I think mine has a capacitor instead of a battery, so less of an issue. Anyway it sounds like your wallet took a pounding these past few days, Vlad!
  22. Filled up last Friday and took this pic on Friday just past after a week of commuting. Definitely drove slower than normal for this to happen. eg: 60Mph on motorways instead of 70-80.
