  1. Most of the IS colours have an alternative name in different markets (ie: USA).
  2. Try asking your local Toyota/Lexus dealer to do a special order for you. The part number is 08611-53010. Or, you could just personally import a set. There's a couple of sellers on http://my.is/forums/f217/'>my.is that usually have them in stock.
  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-2-0-NGK-Spark-Plugs-x6-Complete-Set-/330793363998?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d04d22a1e'>Cheaper still
  4. A set of Denso/Toyota ones can be bought on ebay for about £55-60. Getting the NGK variant (IFR6T11) instead, will save you about £20. I replaced my plugs earlier this year - NGKs out, Densos in, and I can't say I noticed any difference so I would recommend NGKs.
  5. I really like Strathcaron Blue (8N8) and Granite Sky (1C6).
  6. Ideally, I would've liked to have done the same as Ian and made use of an OEM motorised screen, but my lack of electrical knowledge was a stumbling point. I'm not keen on having an aftermarket head-unit either, so, I just settled on a semi-permanent solution by trying to install/position an off-the-shelf unit as neatly as possible. It's fixed to the dash using the normal windscreen sucker on a self-adhesive mounting disc. Pretty solid, doesn't vibrate etc and it can be removed and replaced quickly. Plus, I retain the use of my pop-up storage bin. The power/charging cable is concealed by running it down behind the air vents and stereo etc and fits into a flush-mount USB port in the cigarette lighter socket ( one of http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200944699285?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649'>these ). Something that looked messy would annoy me, but I'm quite happy with this. As a bonus, the nav unit has bluetooth for hands-free calling. Assuming the footprint area of the standard dashboard shelf is big enough, you could do something similar. In fact, it would look more discreet than what I've got since it would be sitting lower down in the dash.
  7. That's where the buttons should be, Stuart. The ones in the picture have been moved. The switches are all the same size and interchangeable, so lots of people swap the TRC/SNOW button into the middle to make things more symmetrical. For what it's worth, my button doesn't illuminate either. Until now, I had assumed it wasn't supposed to.
  8. For 17s, the correct tyre size should be 225/45R17 front and 245/45R17 rear.
  9. Ah, you've got the TRD skirt...that changes everything. Yep, the sizing is good for that. Very nice. :)
  10. As far as I know it is just a rear silencer. Would love one but the size of the tailpipe puts me off. Kinda big for a standard-looking car like mine.
  11. Very nice. I think that grille looks even better on a darker coloured car.
  12. I'd recommend just converting the Fogs to HIDs. I dunno if it's because my car had the newer type lights with H3 bulbs or what (perhaps they're inferior to the earlier ones), but they were extremely poor with the stock bulbs and absolutely useless when I tried to improve things with some "Xenon-style" bulbs in them. Yes, the light output actually became even worse, plus they still had that dull, old-fashioned "halogen" look to them. After swapping to the aftermarket bulbs, I actually had to get out and visually check to see if they were still working, since there was no telling from inside the car whether they were on or not! Since upgrading therm with a HID kit though, they've been improved massively. To the point where I could easily drive down a dark country road using just the sidelight/foglight combo. (I've tried it). Since the fog lamps have projector lenses, I don't think there's the same kind of beam scatter issues you get when you stick HIDs in reflector lights. I haven't had any complaints. What this picture doesn't show very well, is that my fogs are actually kicking out yellow light due to the temperature of the bulbs (3000K).
  13. Yes, the "B" denotes LSD. A01A - 3.916 ratio Open Centre A01B - 3.916 ratio Torsen LSD A02A - 4.083 ratio Open Centre A02B - 4.083 ratio Torsen LSD
  14. Looks good. It should probably drop a few mm more once they're settled in.
  15. Sure, I'll try and take one this evening.
  16. Black calipers, white decals for me. I wanted something a bit understated that could pass as possibly being OEM. Another inexpensive DIY mod that's worth doing; I'd always disliked the fact the switch panels were that matte silver colour when the rest of my interior was black/dark. They looked a bit out of place to me, but not anymore. I bought a small roll of carbon-effect vinyl and experimented on the rear door switches myself and the result was pretty good considering I had never done anything like that before. But, I wasn't confident about doing a neat job on the ones on the front doors, especially the driver's panel with all those switches and cutouts. So, I bought a pre-cut kit. There's an Australian dude on eBay selling them and the quality is very good.
  17. Yes, those IS-F caps will fit in the 11-spoke wheels. I tried one this afternoon. It didn't sit quite as flush as an OEM cap, but it snapped into place fine and looked pretty good. FYI, the centre caps for IS220d/IS250 wheels and also the Mk1 RX300 are the same size (62mm) and fitment.
  18. No, you wash the car as normal before using it, just like you would with any other wax. You just don't need to dry the car beforehand. plus it's super quick and easy to use - not too dissimilar to a Quick Detailer. Smells great too. :)
  19. Cool, thanks. I've got a bottle of EGP but I've never been sure about how to include it into the process. Or whether it's even needed if you're using a proper wax. I applied a single coat of HD Wax just over a month ago and it's still holding up well. This was on Saturday after a blast with a petrol station jet wash on the cheapest program - lance only, no brush, then sprayed with Autoglym Aqua Wax whilst the body was still wet (that's it's party trick). Done the wheels & tyres too whilst I was waiting to buff up some panels, but all told, you're looking at only 30mins worth of work. Plus £2 for the jet wash. :) I can't recommend Aqua Wax enough!
  20. Looking good! What have you got as the top coat? The HD Wax or EGP?
  21. What's involved in making them fit, I don't know, but it seems they do fit. They look really good too.
  22. Where are you putting it? I had one on my LE grille and thought it looked pretty good there.
