  1. Are you sure he does... I suppose there's a first time for everything!
  2. I had a Nokia CK-1W bluetooth kit fitted on my '99 GS300 Sport at Lexus Nottingham. They got someone in to fit it, they didn't do it themselves. This too muted the stereo, but used the Nokia speaker.
  3. Apparently so, but the excess of girls are now about 65 years old, so unless thats your thing...
  4. Yep, that's the boy. You've got a post code now as well, so you don't have any excuse for getting lost now! Wasn't it you who got lost in MK a year or two back when we were driving about half a mile down the road in a convoy??
  5. OK. I've probably only been there on a weekend. Exchange car park it is then!
  6. Where on Castle Marina should we meet? The car parks at the Exchange Diner and Pizza Hut can get quite busy, so it might be easier to meet near Dixons or somewhere like that. We could go round the corner for food afterwards.
  7. There's a bar at the Exchange Diner. I won't be drinking though. We could either go there to eat or to Pizza Hut... Or to Maccy D's! Not sure if there's anywhere else there to eat.
  8. Toys R Us is on a different industrial estate. Not far away though. Maccy D's is in the same place though.
  9. Not sure about a Dixons, but there is a big PC World and Sainsburys. The address of the Sainsburys is: Castle Bridge Road Castle Marina Nottingham NG7 1GX If you used this post code in your sat nav you wouldn't be far wrong. I'm sure that if you headed towards here, we could talk you in on the phone. 2nd Feb is good for me.
  10. Castle Marina sounds a good plan to me. Plenty of food places there.
  11. I'm happy with Wednesday. I'm not sure about where we could go in Notts. I'll ask Ifraz for some suggestions in the morning.
  12. Any of those dates would be fine with me. There isn't really much around junction 27 - might be better to go somewhere closer to Notts or Derby. Yeah, had it remapped at a place called JBS Autodesigns. Don't ask me where it was, because I just followed the Sat Nav! I'm well impressed with it at the moment.
  13. I've got nothing much planned at the moment. Would probably prefer an evening during the week, but I'm not bothered either way really. I promise not to race you Aido! I had it tweaked up in Chesterfield this weekend, so it wouldn't be fair...
  14. That probably wouldn't be a bad bet. If you're interested in food though, I think its a bit limited unless you go for a proper meal. We were going to go there for lunch the other day but it didn't have much to offer. Can check the menu out again tomorrow though if you like.
  15. I would be interested in coming along. Hope my car would be welcome though...
  16. Having driven both L200 and Nissan Navara double cab pickups, I would have to say that I think that I would prefer to drive the Nissan regularly as it is more comfortable and car-like and seems to go better. I think that the L200 looks better though.
  17. After trying gum and all that stuff, I tried Niquitin CQ lozenges. Found it quite easy to stop with these. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to give these up. I've been taking them for almost 2 years now.
  18. Sorry mate, a picture of the hair won't do as evidence - you could have picked it up off the floor. There's probably hair all over the place like at the barbers!
  19. Aido, I'll give you £50 for the lot, but we've got to have evidence...
  20. The S3 understeers quite a bit too. I have never driven a Leon Cupra so can't compare the two. I would imagine that the Leon would suffer from a fair bit of torque steer with 200BHP going through the front wheels, which the S3 doesn't have.
  21. I swapped my GS for a 1999 S3 a couple of months back and I'm still loving every minute of it. It is fun and safe to drive, but it does make me drive much faster than my GS. They're plenty fast enough as standard (there's little between the 210 and 225BHP models) but if you feel yourself needing a bit more they are really cheap to modify, with quite a few companies offering remaps to around 270BHP for around £500. I had a 5hr free demo of one such remap and it is awesome. I will be getting this done permanently quite soon. They handle well, but they do tend to understeer quite a bit when pressing on! I went for an S3 because I wanted a change, and didn't fancy a Scooby (or at least I didn't fancy the image that goes with it). I do miss the space in the Lexus, but as I see it, I've got the rest of my life to buy a big luxury car. As Colin says, the coil packs and diverter valves are a weak point. I replaced my diverter valve when I bought it - they're only about £15 so its not a big problem. Coil packs on the other hand are expensive. Mine are OK at the moment... I get about the same fuel consumption out of my S3 as I did from my Lexus. I can get it as low as 20MPG, and upto about 33MPG depending on driving style. My normal mix of driving gives about 28MPG.
  22. I had this problem on the GS300 Sport Mark II that I used to have. Didn't notice any difference when switching between radio and cd etc. though. Mine would periodically fix itself for a couple of days and then revert back again. Never did get to the bottom of it as it was only a minor annoyance so didn't bother spending anything to get it looked at.
