  1. It's funny to see the first gen is200 now being so 'affordable' that guys and gals are picking them up and moding them. They look really nice lowered and with the aftermarket alloys.
  2. Hi ibboyle. We're not ignoring your posts, I have a feeling this is a query some of the guys don't have an answer for. The Cambelt, there were some issues identified with the is that Lexus brought the time to change it forward from 100,000 miles, to 60,000. If yours was last done at 80,000, then I think you're about ready to have it done again. Squeaky noise could be something rubbing against the wheel, certainly if it gets louder at speed. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but it may be worth getting the car to a garage, unless you're competent to do the work yourself . . . I'm not, so I go to the garage.
  3. They are nice pics, To be honest, I do like the way she settles when lowered.
  4. I'm sorry, but if you are not going to look after your car properly, we will have to take it off you . . . . . . :megaangry: Welcome to the site, of course.
  5. The Pedant in me wants to know if there is a way of finding out if there is a record kept by Lexus UK to know what number my SportCross was in the registered list . . There were only 787 is200 SportCross' registered in Britain, and then to find out how many had Damietta Quartz . . . . .
  6. The GSI, I think it's VXR Astra Coupe. Though GSi maybe more likely . .
  7. ibboyle. I think it is damietta Quartz. It was an optional extra. Originally purchased by Natiowide Car Hire, I think they had a couple of pounds left over, so the had this colour. It's not as bright as Panya's car, but a lot of people think it's just an off colour silver. . . . . IT'S NOT! It's Damietta Quartz!!!!! Dinho, I wish!! No, this is the hand wash place I use.
  8. It always looks so nice when she's clean.
  9. Alright Stuart mate, thanks, it has took long while to get it to where it is now. I spent a couple days on the dash simply because I didn't have a windscreen in at the time, so one day preparing and priming, the next day putting the paint on and lacquer.I will be touching it up soon as i've had to take the stereo out a few times which has scraped the paint. , the radio. . . I've had mine out a couple of times to install and then update the grom device. Yeah, I've got scratches that need to be touched up. . . .
  10. Hi Mark. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully, someone will point you in the right direction soon.
  11. Hi dinho. The car's looking great. How long did it take for you to paint the dash? If I had black interior, I'd do the same. It's looking good
  12. I agree with Lexus Loon. I was going to say, try the Forte Gas treatment to clean the engine. Check the air filter. When was it last serviced?
  13. Oh, and just to let people know. The fuel gauge needle is moving and I think it has caught the tank up. I'm on 240 miles at the halfway mark and this seems right by me.
  14. Indeed. It was very nice to see you and your car at Nottingham, Graham. It's a pity I couldn't have gotten there a little earlier to have more of a look around.
  15. Hi, umm. Not sure. are you looking for the ride height from factory settings? Not sure of the weight of the springs. The is300 rides lower than the is200/Sport/SE by 15 mm, but then it is 125 kg heavier.
  16. 477 miles / 65.10 litres = 7.33 miles per litre x £10 (£10 / £1.329 = 7.52 litres ((7.33 MPL x 7.52 litres)) = 55.12 miles. In theory, if you can drive like me, then £10 should be able to get you 50 miles down the road . . . . . . .
  17. Damietta Quartz according to the Brochure, but Persian Quartz on the log book. Beige if you're talking to a mechanic.
  18. Hi. When did the car last have a service? I'm sure you don't want to have to pay for someone to look over the car, but it may a fault that needs someone else to find? (sometimes you really don't want it to be a certain problem, so you don't look for it?)
  19. You're appears to be much brighter than mine, but looking through the brochure, there aren't any other colours that would come close.
  20. Is it me or is the sportcross more champaine'y in colour than plat ice? Hi PetayV8, Yeah, mine is Persian Quartz. It's almost gold with metalic flakes in the paint, it was an optional extra from new. I've been checking theis200/is300 brochure . . .
  21. I actually think the wheels themselves look too small. But that would just be trying to find something to pick a fault with. As you've said, it's just had new tyres put on, so there's no point changing anything now. If you are going to put springs on anyway, I would say DON'T go as drastic as 40-45mm encase you do end up getting bigger wheels or higher profile tyres. 20-30mm drop should allow you to manage the drop on the current wheels and tyres and factor in larger wheels and/or tyres at a later stage.
  22. Hi Gary, welcome to the site and to Lexus Ownership. I've only had my 54' Sportcross since Jan, wanted a diesel estate, but couldn't bear the thought of driving to work in a Ford Focus, so I saw mine on sale at a good price, the mileage scared me initially, but the guys on hear settled my nerves and now that she's been serviced, I'm loving it. I'll keep an eye out on your progress, as I may upgrade to the diesel in about 2-3 years time.
  23. YAY Proof I was there!!! A bit late, and with my windscreen seal flapping around in the wind, BUT I WAS THERE!!!!! Great Day. Umm.. Did I leave the sun behind? I can't seem to find now I'm back in Wales?
