  1. £40 % 1.299 = 30.7 litres. . . . you had quite a bit in your reserve if you're on half a tank now. lol.
  2. I've spent £3800+ over 20000 miles With LPG currently at .74p and the conversion offering no improvement in MPG, simply cheaper prices, it would cost £51.80 to fill a 70 litre tank, against £90.23 for Unleaded assuming the price is 1.289p. Over 50 tanks, Unleaded has cost me £3800+ Over 50 tanks for LPG, it would be £2590. the cost of conversion £999.00 +VAT (£198.00) = £1197.00 + £2590 = £3787 It's possible that it would only take me a year to recoup the costs of the conversion . . . . . Or at least, 20000 miles at the same level of MPG would have me recouping the costs of the conversion.
  3. I'm hoping to attend from South Wales 164.7 miles to get there (One way) according the www.theaa.com. ChrisIS200SportTTE travelled further last time. Lol. It's a great drive in these great cars.

  5. Lol, yeah. I've already got the 150,000 mile service paid for. I may do another payment plan to cover the next three, but LPG may be my next route . . .
  6. Lol, indeed, but it's a reduction for me. . . . I'm hoping that once the winter tyres go back on and when i'm able to get the suspension lowered, the MPG should go back up. I'm aiming for a regular 33MPG once the car is lowered. I do quite a lot of driving, motorway to work etc and the drag on a lowered (slightly) car is better
  7. £40, how much did you pay per litre? At 1.289p, you've got 31.03 litres of fuel. I'm getting 230 miles to 35 litres at the moment. Winter Tyres and Spacers are currently having a negative effect. 27.5 - 30.5 MPG at present.
  8. Welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. It's great to see these lovely 10 year old cars still looking 'Showroom Smart'
  9. How much is LPG in London? I'm currently doing 230 miles to £45 (35 Litres) and was considering converting to LPG, but if the savings are this minimal, i'm not sure it's worth the conversion cost . . . . . *(JOKE)* LPG is still about half the price of Unleaded, so even if the MPG remains the same, the savings will be noticeable. It's good to hear from another IS200 owner who has had the conversion and to see that it is working well.
  10. I would love to attend, especially as it's gonna be PetayV8's last on these shores. I'll get clarification from my wife first though. I'm a tentative yes.
  11. Fingers crossed that works. When did batteries become so bloody expensive?
  12. Good luck. Stay in touch and DON'T PAY $10,000 for an IS! Why are they holding their value better over there? Is it just the cheaper fuel? people are prepared to pay more for the car? They are great value here in UK. MMMMM Muscle cars. . . . .
  13. I had a similar problem with mine when I bought. running fine the first day and starting up without a hitch. Left it over night and it wouldn't start the next day turning over, but not catching, the dial saying battery life was 9 volts, but it wasn't catching. The battery was dead. I rang the garage who said that they had to jump start it as it had been sitting for nearly two months before it was sold. They had hoped that it would recharge after being driven around, but it didn't. They replaced the battery a year ago and everything has been fine ever since.
  14. Isn't the Lexus Breakdown cover only £115 a year? . . . . i'll try and find the link . . . http://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/warranties-repair/#/RoadsideAssistance
  15. Cheers guys. I have emailed Profess twice now, but no response. I am going to start saving and am considering this. LPG works alongside Petrol? is that right? petrol on start up to get the engine going and then it turns to Gas? how much petrol are you guys using a month?
  16. Welcome to the club. We all hope you enjoy the car and show us plenty of photos.
  17. I think people are simply chancing their arm. There is a 54 plate IS200 SportCross near me listed for £3990. Okay, so it's only got 74000 miles on the clock, but it shouldn't sell for that much. . . .

  19. Hi Mark. Welcome to The Lexus Owner Club. Glad to hear you're enjoying the new car. Al issues, quibbles or queries are welcome and we'll help where we can.
  20. Are you on facebook? I'll ask in the breakers pages and the American SportCross Group.
  21. Bad experience with other vendors, Mike?
  22. Fantastic read. Thank You Noby. I'm much more comfortable about considering converting if and when.
  23. Prowl28, the Prinns system, how much would it cost to install? I'd imagine the issue most people would face is that the system would be worth more than the car. I cannot imagine replacing my SportCross and would definitely consider LPG, I've spent over £3500 on Unleaded covering 20,000 miles in the last 12 months and if I had installed LPG at the point of purchase, I would nearly be breaking even about now and driving cheaper from this point on. Jasonrye1. you'd have to weigh up whether it would be financially viable for you. If you buy a cheaper kit, you're more than likely going to need to replace the engine, according to some peoples experiences. If the Prinns System is better (but more expensive) then you could be waiting a year or two before you start to see a return on that investment. for the age of the car, better fuel economy may be best achieved with a different car. (I'M NOT SUGGESTING YOU CHANGE YOUR CAR) I know how much I love mine and would not want to change it unless I could get something newer and as good or better (Maybe an IS250 or GS)
