  1. Hi guys. How's about a meet up in Caerphilly on Sunday October 6th? We could plan to meet with Progress first and play about with the ramps, then if it's sunny, we'll go up the mountain to the Snack Bar. Great views and a decent car park. Not too far off the M4.
  2. Fantastic. We'll try and get more info to everyone as it gets closer. It may be a joint gathering of LOC, Facebook is200 and **********Club. Is this going to be okay for everyone?
  3. Hi all. Who's up for a Meet Up? Blackpool, Saturday 12th October, possibly an evening meet.
  4. Cammy has informed us that there is a Dumfries Cruiise taking place on October 6th. We may try and tag on to this as it will mean less planning from our side. Lol. Anyone up for a meet on October 6th?
  5. Hi guys. Jamie Grenfell. One of the members on the facebook Lexus IS200 group is going to look into a meet up in Scotland. If you are Interested, please let me know and we'll try and collaborate and get links between the groups.
  6. www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/83202-response-from-adrian-flux-regarding-in-car-dash-cameras/ This is the response I had from adrian flux. I will be looking to fit one to my IS200 SportCross.
  7. I kept the 16"s and I plan to use them as my winter wheels. The 17"s fill the arch that little bit better and yes, the car feels better.
  8. Hi Dave. How are you. Sorry to be a nuisance, but you can't advertiseyour car unless you are a paid up Gold Member. Just encase you post anything and wonder why the post gets deleted. But current prices of mint first gen IS' are stupidly low. £2000 may be your best hope.
  9. Apparently, but I've not done this myself. What improvements can this cause?
  10. Welcome to the forum and to Lexus Ownership. As Ian says, there are not any cheap mods available. Even the superchargers won't give you much of an increase and also cost a fortune! Air filter, wheel alignment and fuel line cleaner. Start with these.
  11. Hey guys. I'm on 17" and they are 215/45/R17. So, not exactly low profile. . . Lol
  12. Hi Caspa. I eventually upgraded to the bluetooth Grom. This allows me to use the media player of ky choice. The updates for AalinQ and Grom Firmware have helped improve the basic unit. One of the guys on the facebook group has the basic unit and though it took him 2 days to get the thing to work, it is woring without complications.
  13. Noreen. Congratulations. Longer journeys will obviously help improve MPG.
  14. Female Lexus owners are still in the minority, but the RX seems to have a higher proportion than first gen IS. The fuel economy of the first gen IS can be improved beyond the official figures without too much difficulty. I don't travel at below the speed limit and I don't accelerate too slowly. I'm gentle, but I don't drive slowly. But I watch the MPG ometer like a hawk.
  15. Hmmmm. Maybe lowering springs isn't the best choice if you're already scraping over some bumps. But yes, it will be a bit stiffer and will look great.
  16. My ownership average over 14,000 miles is 31.5MPG. I think the fuelly link is still in my post signature. I've twice gone over 500 miles to a tank, though this was entirely motorway driving when we went to Scotland in May.
  17. Hey guys, sorry been away for a while. Did you know the facebook group has a girl member!!!!! Anyway, MPG. Yes. I was using the Snow Mode religiously, but haven't for the last 3 fill ups. I'm just being cautious now. My commute to work is around 13 miles each way. About 15 minutes at 60 MPH, other wise it's through small villages. My last tanks were, 472 = 32.4MPG, 292 =32.6MPG and 446 =32.7MPG I am as gentle as can be with the accelerator and alway monitor the MPG ometer. I coast to slow down to lights and approaching roundabouts to try and increase my MPG where possible. I'm about to hit 250 miles to half a tank this time, where I've been hovering around the 230-240 mark. When the fuel light comes on, I can go another 50 miles and even with the needle resting on the stopper, I know I've got about 2 litres left. This is needing a petrol station fuel only. Lol.
  18. Hi even with passengers, stock suspension and springs should not scrape. It may be worth you getting this checked out before fitting anything else to your car. It could be something as simple as an exhaust clip missing amd there is a part of the exhaust catching the speed bump.
  19. Sorry, I didn't realise this thread had 4 more pages . . ignore my post, Lexmaniac seems to have this under control . .
  20. Simple as it may seem, get a new quote and threaten to cancel, if the new quote is cheaper, you should have grounds to cancel and change provider with no recompense.
  21. AARRGGHHH Wow, there are two of us with 2004 Gold SportCrosses in Caerphilly??????
  22. Sorry, i replied before seeing yours. I'll try and get some photos too and we can compare . .
