  1. Great looking car. Do you have any plans to change anything yet? did you park ex your IS200?
  2. Good morning all. I had Spacers fitted last week to give Zorro a wider look and improved grip and handling in corners. I've gone 15mm at the front and 20mm at the rear.
  3. No worries. I'm using Snow Mode to help with fuel economy too.
  4. Snow Mode regulates the accelerator response and thus dulls the revs slightly. I don't believe it has any lasting effect on the gearbox or clutch. It just makes sure you don't spin the back wheels when the weather conditions suggest this could be easy!
  5. Yes I'm very happy. Happy with my GS too, not getting the promised 30mpg (urban) though ;) No, for that fuel economy, only my IS200 SportCross will do. Lol.
  6. Hi Sterling. It's frustrating to think that the two dealerships can be so different. Lexus should've completed the pre sales check and replaced anything that was not satisfactory. Hopefully, with the sales manager loosing their job, they had evidenced that things were not being done correctly. Lexus Cardiff are no longer part of the Sytner Group and are now part of Motorline. I would like to think that this issue would never happen again, as it sullies what should be a fantastic purchase of a luxury car.
  7. Hmmmm. Not sure, but I've got some sounds coming from the front. It sounds like a rusts spring on the bigger speed bumps. Lexus had a look and said I needed two new front shocks, but an independant garage said there are no signs that there is anything wrong with the shocks and that the noise could be a loose caliper and suggested copper slip. Hmmmm.
  8. Hmm. not wanting to think that Lexus would rip anyone off, but I wonder whether it was the battery and not the alternator anyway? . . . .
  9. When the time comes for Zorro to go, I had initially been considering an IS220d, but there have been some horror stories. Are you really getting 530+ from a 50 litre tank? I've been really struggling, but managing, to get 450 from my 70litre petrol tank. 31.6MPG ownership average is good for the IS200, but fuel prices are not looking set to go down anytime soon. . . .
  10. Welcome to the LOC Jo & Pete. I'm still astonished at how well these cars are built. Most of ours are over 100,000 miles and still drive like they've come from the factory. As for the SportCross. I love Zorro and wish Lexus had built them for the second gen IS. Fuel economy can be good if you drive carefully. If you don't (and I don't blame you) you're gonna have a huge smile on your face!
  11. It'll be interesting to see if you can maintain 35MPG. If you can, maybe there are still some underlying issues with Zorro? Further advice; contact WheelsinMotion and have a quick chat with Tony Bones . . He's a member on this site too, so you could message him. There has been an issue with Lexus IS' that Lexus appear unable to deal with. The camber/caster set up cause inner tyre wear of the front wheels. Tony has recalibrated the settings and a number of LOC members have had their cars changed. It's £114 but will save you money on replacing tyres and wheel bearings in the future. I've done 11,000 miles on my current tyres and I'm only at 6mm front and 4mm rear.
  12. There appears to be a core group of members who will use the profile pages and add you as friends, the more you post, the people get to know you. Reading through your posts, it's like reading mine when I joined at the start of the year. My previous car was a 1.0l Corsa!! I couldn't believe how much car I got for my money. But I made a terrible mistake, I didn't research before buying. 122,000 miles on the clock and never had a cambelt change! I should've walked away, but I didn't know. So I joined the forum straight away, made some friends and was quickly told to get the cambelt sorted. Another £650 on top of the purchase price (second mistake, I went to Lexus to get the cambelt done!) But you know what? I didn't mind. It was quite nice having a car that I felt was worthy of paying the main dealer to fix.
  13. It's the second bottle of Forte I've used this year. Zorro has been serviced twice too. I think careful driving is the bigger factor, but my fuel economy is often above 31MPG and Zorro is my daily driver, so I would highly recommend Forte and would advise people to use these engine cleaners, especially as most IS' are over 100,000 miles now.
  14. I love seeing old threads brought back to life. Lol. The IS200 is a great car and you should be able to see a return of 350 miles from a full tank, to the fuel light, without out too much difficulty. I've been able to pass 500 miles on a tank while traveling to and around Scotland, but I drive quite consciously aware of my right foot. The link in my email signature will take you to a website called Fuelly. Here, I have been charting my miles travelled and fuel used since buying Zorro in January. My average MPG is 31.6MPG, but I think that is quite high compared to most other IS200 owners.
  15. There should be insfructions on the bottle. The forte is only 100mls.
  16. With the Forte stuff, I put a full bottle in with half a tank of petrol (35litres)
  17. The last three letters on the number plate read ZRO. So i've called the SportCross, Zorro.
  18. Hi Greg. Great looking GS. Welcome to LOC. I don't have any advice for the reversing camera, but even once you've got the advice from the guys here, because someone will know. pop back down to your local Lexus Dealership for a cuppa and a natter. The one great thing I've noticed about being a Lexus Owner, is the Dealership are friendly to you, regardless of how old the car is!
  19. Welcome back to Lexus Ownership.
  20. Lol. An eco warrior in the F Sport? I hope the ride isn't too adversely affected. and Welcome.
  21. Very nice. Are you a 'returning Lexus driver'? or do you have another on your drive?
  22. I haven't used them before, but won't opie oils send to Dublin? they offer reduced rates for LOC
  23. It's available for android, I'm assuming that it would be suitable for Windows Phone too?
  24. Cheers guys. I'm not likely to be in the market for a replacement yet, but when I do, I think I'll be looking at the GS instead of the IS. Though it would be nice if I could run a second car alongside Zorro.
