On British Roads, you have to really work hard to drive like an idiot, or drive these cars around town only. . . . The IS200 is one of few cars that I can drive and beat the official MPG claims. The other was a 1.0l Vauxhall Corsa. 45-50 MPG all day long.
Drive conservatively, change gears sensibly and the MPG will come to you. The difference in cost? Over 20,000 miles at 31.6MPG, I've paid £3,750 in petrol. At 20MPG? You could add another £1500 to your fuel cost.
