    I've never, ever understood the general hullabaloo, slavish respect,/reverence, given to all things BMW/Merc/Audi here in the UK, I had a 7-series back in the early eighties, it was a toss-up between that, or an S-type Jag, -wish I'd gone for the Jag, I got the BMW at 11,000 miles, what a heap 'o trouble that turned-out to be, but I won't go down that road

    Pressed the wrong button.......... .....fills me with dread, I'd rather leave it well alone,-but then car-electronics intimidate the hell out of me, unlike the mechanical side.

    Ambermarine I agree with your comments, regarding what I would term "add ons" to what I would consider, a pretty sophisticated electronic system in the LS, (or any other Lexus, for that matter), call me old-fashioned, the thought of tinkering with it fills

    Laid myself wide open for that one-didn't I...?! As your aware Mike, my mirror is broken on the LS-it was vandalized during that three weeks the car was stationary, ( ie:-bleedin' vulnerable) -I consider that the car got off lightly, considering the geographic location-it is a somewhat rough area......

    As well it should, earlier this year, I left my LS400 outside in a Glasgow side-street for three weeks, (January) -started first time, I'd have been fairly peeved if it hadn't! -the weather had been sub-zero most of the time also.

    Did that, now I cannot get the reply box to come up on the screen, -nor will it accept my sign-in details, I'm writing this on my Galaxy Note, which, (touch wood) is accessing LOC site OK, my iPhone 4 contract runs out in 2 weeks anyway, -then it goes in the bin-(metaphorically speaking) seems the Note handles this situation better.

    Hi Colin, I can access it using a roundabout way of using a new server (Dolphin) but access is denied (pink band again) using the old one (Chrome) -its not life-threateningly important, as I can now access LOC, but it does it on my iPhone as well, (this is a Samsung Note)

    Like I've mentioned on this Forum some time ago, I need a complete near/side mirror shell assembly: Quote from local MK Lexus: £590.00, that's why its still held together by insulation tape, though I haven't a clue what will happen when MOT time swings round come November, when they will fail it on that probably.........think I will get the super-glue out...

    About a hundred years ago, I lived in Canada, a work Colleague had one of these-427 cubic inch job, gave me a shot driving it once, what a beast to drive, the whole body and chassis would "torque" as you sat revving the engine at a standstill, went like s..t off a shovel- enough to get you to the next Gas Station-drank fuel like a Scotsman at Hogmany.

    I don't know if other Members are having the same problem as me: since the LOC site was down for maintenance recently, I can acces every Forum on the site-except the above- which, as an LS400 owner,I tend to browse and use frequently, every time I click to get on it, I get this pink double band across the top of the page,saying:" there is an error on the SQL server" -I've been told by my local friendly smart-phone nerd, the fault is on the LOC server, not my dog and bone, can anyone help? please hurry, as I'm suffering severe withdrawal-symptoms, from not being able to access the LS400 Forum............

    Mmm...mine is sloppy, ie- if it wasn't taped-up, it'd fall off (or out) - still trying to find a replacement, keep getting pipped at the post on EBay,when one comes up,-time to get the super-glue out, I think....

    Don't own a TV, haven't owned one for years, it rots yer brains,-the utter drivel spewed-out of the damn thing,is an affront to a sane persons intelligence, get out,live your life, meet other people,enjoy the outdoors, enjoy driving your Lexus.
