  1. Bandit country down there in Kent lads, -better make sure the SatNav is working properly, -wouldn't pay to get lost, would it? (For all members over a certain age, -remember Straw Dogs?..........)
  2. I'm beginning to think this thread is a somewhat belated April Fools joke?...........
  3. I have to own-up to admittedly watching the odd Documentary on Iplayer-and the one mentioned earlier, on London traffic was interesting, the guy in charge of the Unit (can't remember its title) who co-ordinated the road closures/ maintenance etc,I thought, was an incredibly competent manager, who,( lucky for the punters using the roads daily) showed that he had his work cut-out for him, but in my opinion, carried out his job well,-impressed the hell out of me anyway.
  4. Anyway..........getting back to the earlier thread.....Le Man's 24 hour race......I think I last watched it when these big beasts of Fords were winning it-GT40's I think they were, massive V8 engines, its the only way to go really, brute power,mmmm,......wonder how an LS400 -Mk1 through to Mk4-would handle that race?...
  5. Your older than I thought.......
  6. Sorry Bigjap-we seem to have hijacked your thread,-blathering-on about guitar Amps!
  7. Just the very reason that mine never leaves the house-I wouldn't even dream of moving it around on gigs, very delicate Amp, I had a Fender Twin Chorus when I gigged around, tranny Amp,tough as old boots, them were the days......
  8. Bet my Vox AC30 would sound better.......(that'll get you going)..... (though I'll grant you the Fender Twin is a great Amp-I very foolishly parted company with one a few years ago, usual reason: needed the money.
  9. Wouldn't mind playing one of my guitars through them.....
  10. Your showing your age Son! (bet you can't remember the name of the first Bomb they made.....?...... Anyway-I digress-apologies for the flippancy Steve-I was in a O2 shop today, getting someone with more phone/computer/techno-savvy than me, to check-out why I only get half a screen on the LOC site to reply on, anyway, he fixed it-turns out it was a glitch, partially caused by (he thinks) your recent Server-come-thingummy-upgrade-whatever, so I gave it a whirl with a test reply, and lt now works properly, job done.
  11. Ignore this message -its a test
  12. Has anyone browsed the LOC membership list lately? It reads like a phonebook, there are so many of us, yet, to date, there is the pathetic figure of 10 of us, prepared to get up off our backsides, and support the Lexus Marque, not much point being a Member, if more of us can drive along, and support the East Midlands Meet,-after all, it's not as though you'll be walking there-you'll be driving your Lexus.
  13. Blimey, they almost sound too good to be true, make the Brit equivalent options look a bit wanting, I'll say. Been a member of the AA for a few years now, they did their job for me on several occasions in the past, both involving long distance vehicle recovery from Scotland back to England, no problem, haven't had to use them for a while (touch wood)
  14. I'm writing this, -trying to keep it short, as the page I'm writing on is partially covered by the keyboard below-(I'm doing this on my Samsung Note-I don't posses a laptop) the page won't slide up, as I write, making a long text almost impossible to write-as I can't see what I'm typing, my phone/computer tech says its the LOC website -not my phone -its gone now can't see what I'm typing unless I cancel the keyboard and check it every so often, anyone else having this problem?
  15. Let my Wife's Daughter(a very competent driver) drive back from a day out at NEC, sat in back for the first time ever, had two pleasant hours, staring at the workmanship and quality, of the leatherwork of my car, never appreciated it before today,-so comfortable sitting in the back also, I'm a big guy,and I had plenty of room, very enjoyable, -trouble is,now she wants my car...
  16. If yoo laot haad wehnt too skool, may bee yood no hou tae spel proply,-I donnt no-sum peepl.......
  17. Think I'd like a tad more steel around me, than that pepper-pot on wheels has,-the thought of travelling faster than 20mph on todays roads in that thing..........'nuff said I think!
  18. .....May a bolt of lightning shear down and smite him" cheeky blighter, how dare he criticise our revered and sacred Lexus brand, come to think of it, he did have a brass-neck, coming out with the verbal diarrhoea, wearing these absurd-looking pointy shoes, that are currently "in fashion" -...berk...btw-not to put too fine a point on it:was he not overstepping the mark a bit? Its not in his remit to comment casually, on potential customers cars?-is it?
  19. I evener esem to hav th e prolem, -don nkow wot a ll th fus is aboot, hav a nise dayy evry won........
  20. Good insurance-policy-wished I'd done that, when I had the chance of buying a pair of spares, shortly after buying the car!
  21. I must have seen dozens of BMW's, Audi's, Mercs, driving around MK today-most of them black, most of them big models, most of them late models, and they all look like clones of each other, nearly all of them being driven by speedy nutters, -see this each, and every day round here, yet I see one black 430, -occasionally, driven by a very sedate driver.very seldom see any LS400's.
  22. I think I'll pass on the mirror, I've since found out the electrics vary on both models, and I'm wary about fooling around with them, -back to the drawing-board, thanks again for going to the trouble of offering to get me one, its appreciated.
  23. I don't know if the '97 wiring will fit a '98 (it tilts when you engage reverse gear on my car) but-I need a mirror, preferably black, but if it works, I'll just spray it! As Bluesman says: if the Scrappy guys won't take it off, its a reasonably easy job of removal, so yes, I'd have it, thanks.
