  1. Southwest Lexus Limited Company Number 10274929 is currently Registered at Companies House and on Monday next (24th March) a Notice will be issued stating that the Company is to be Struck off and Dissolved within 2 months. In my view it is not advisable for anyone to have any dealings with it or Mr John Arthur Churchill its only Registered Officer..
  2. How can he possibly be classed as a Sole Trader Pete ?
  3. I doubt there will be any better than that having regard to condition, annual mileage, service history and documentation. A sale can only be dependent upon the price being asked.
  4. I had to look that up Barry. Thanks, I retain my sense of smell !
  5. My leaving for Spain on Good Friday is off, as is my return on 15 June. My trip to Spain in September may or may not be on, but who care. We are currently alive and well and doing our damndest to smell the flowers. Let`s be grateful for small mercies.
  6. A stunning motor car. Many congratulations.Remember it is a Rocket Ship with effortless acceleration.Beware the speed traps.
  7. You might have to leave it there for 3 months or so Howard. My advice would be; Leave in PARK Footbrake off Connect a battery charger e.g. CTEK MX5 Cover Steering Wheel and Dashboard with a sheet Cover entire car with a sheet and make sure that the Reg No. cannot be seen. Leave Alarm on and fully inflate tyres. and oh, lock the gate to your driveway! Good luck.
  8. Thanks Thomas. So you meant Rhu ! Now I understand and your car looks fabulous by the way.
  9. Why are you optimistic Mark ? I have seen no information that would make me feel optimistic.
  10. You great big dozy Northern sod Herbs. You had me worried stiff by your silent absence.(we are in some kind of war, we are told) Keep taking the tablets and keep helping us all out with your no-nonsense approach to electronics and computer wizardry (lol)
  11. That mirrors my experience exactly at Lexus Chester. The Salesman who sold me the car six years ago left shortly following my purchase and in the intervening period I have visited the premises on average once every two weeks and not one Salesman has acknowledged me. The Reception and Service Staff however........................... Very sad.
  12. HJ`s respondents have reported this https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/lexus/nx-2014
  13. And presumably one is considerably more reliable than the other with a demonstrably more competent dealership record ?
  14. 1.If Carlisle cannot repair the water ingress to your total satisfaction, then you have an agreement with them that you can reject the car, don`t you Colin? 2. The Engine Management light can be something simple like a need to replace an oxygen sensor, but whatever the problem the Dealer who sold you the car (Carlisle?) provided you with 12 months warranty, did they not? Let events under 1. above unfold and under 2. likewise, as neither should involve you in spending money. If events under 1. above lead you to rejecting the car, then the problem which has caused the problem under 2. will simply reinforce your decision to reject. Please tell me if I have misunderstood your predicament Colin.
  15. Seems to me that we are moving along the rejection off the car route.
  16. A button switching after-market parking sensors on/off ?
  17. Not sure I understand your comment Colin. Are you saying that Lexus Carlisle have agreed your terms for allowing them one final chance to correct the problem? And are you saying that your car now has an additional problem, namely that of an engine warning light has come on ? If the answer to this last question is yes, then they must investigate that and correct at their expense too.
  18. Hello Nick and welcome to the Forum. I too have the same car as you and it is covered by the Lexus Extended Warranty Scheme. You can apply for it if your car is less than 10 years old and covered less than 140,000 miles. It costs approx 1100 for 2 tears cover and is worth every penny. Ask your local Lexus Dealer pronto if you are eligble as your eligibility is almost exhausted.. I also have the Lexus Service Plan (which has many benefits) and suggest you consider one too. Full details of both are with your Lexus Dealer and on the website Lexus.co.uk. My tyres are Kumho 215/50/17 All Season. They are very quiet runners and cost approx £85 each. We look forward to your future contributions to the Forum and to receipt of piccies of your car in daylight !
  19. T`was Herbies post which taught me too. I hope he is ok as I`ve not seen any of his postings for a while.
  20. This should interest us all. Take time out to read it all and its references. https://www.storystorks.co.uk/post/coronavirus-can-i-take-the-kids-out-or-not
  21. Well Roger, you have been the catalyst for a major altercation between two of our esteemed Members. In one corner we have Phil representing the cold frozen North and in the other corner we have Malc, representing the Garden of England !! If I were you matey, I`d stay where you are and become our resident Antipodean Correspondent ! Nothing much happening over here except an unexplained absence of Herbie, Lockdowns, Recessions, Shortages of Pasta and Easter on the horizon. Continue to have a great time.
  22. Irreplaceable. I have his first two books of questions and answers (prior to internet ) He will metamorphasise as some other journalist. You cannot keep a good man down. Time for bed said Zebedee !!
