  1. Yes, I looked at their website again before replying to you Pete. One of our Members bought an Ls430, from them last year. One can do worse than asking one`s Lexus Dealer what they do with Lexus Cars that don`t meet their criteria. I would also ask Lexusman https://forum.lexusownersclub.com/forums/lexusmans-car-sales.36/ for advice about locating a suitable vehicle.
  2. HJ stopped his ANGRY column over 2 weeks ago Today was a fresh column written by someone else. Last week`s was a repeat of questions which had appeared previously and the week before did not appear at all. I wrote to ask why and did not receive a reply. I have left a comment at the foot of today`s column under the name of JPW1946
  3. Phil,I think that the major problem is not the car---it is the owner. The owner who wants a Lexus because "it`s so reliable" and who forgets that one cannot run an initially expensive and increasingly ageing, motor car on a shoe string.
  4. Thanks Pete. Very interesting as I scrutinised their website last year and even commented on this Forum that they were using the Lexus name to suggest (falsely, I might add) that they were in some way associated with the Lexus UK Organisation. I emailed Lexus Customer Services to essentially complain about their use of the Lexus name and Brand ,but they were not interested--much to my surprise. I think that the emailer to me was too dumb to realise that possible infringements on things like copyright were at stake. My scrutiny of Lexus SouthWest website revealed to me that their references were questionable, their Warranties were non-existent and they were ignorant or perhaps were not interested in their legal responsibilites as a seller of vehicles. It is an organisation which along with Stellar of Bolton (formerly Mosesgate ) purports to project an image which is Lexuslike whereas they have no connection with Lexus UK It would be helpful to me at least if you could share the details of their "unprofessional behaviour".You can PM me if you do not wish to go public.
  5. Please name the Dealer Pete. We do not want unsuspecting Forum Members to fall foul of him.
  6. It is the dealers problem to fix at his cost Toby. Do not delay is approaching him.
  7. Where is our old friend Herbie ? He would be a whizz on this subject! I hope he is not suffering with CV19.
  8. I`d have thought that a low profile of 35 on 19in wheels would have made the ride very uncomfortable and pothole unfriendly.
  9. DRL`s----Pick whichever YOU prefer and I would always choose Black over Red interior. Good luck and let`s see plenty of piccies please.
  10. I wish you well, Colin.Do keep us all posted. Give Les (ollies grandad) time to comment.
  11. Good news Colin in that you have got things moving again--a far cry from "we have spent too much on this car". My advice would be that you give Carlisle (who sold the car to you) one final chance to fix the problem. Demand that they provide you with a suitable loan car at their cost and state that if after completing their endeavours the problem still persists, then the car will be accepted back by them and you will receive a suitable refund of the purchase price.(Cost less appropriate usage ). Put all of this in writing and send it to the Dealer Principal at Lexus Carlisle with a copy sent to Lexus Customer Services. IF THEY DO NOT ACCEPT,THEN YOU WILL REJECT THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY. Good luck.
  12. Spending too much money on a car does not absolve them from their legal responsibility. Tell them in writing (and keep a copy ) that if they do not fix the problem you will reject the car.Consult a Solicitor or ask Citizens Advice to help you.
  13. Lifetime Mark, refers to the manufacturing life of the model.Usually 7 years, before a new model is launched.
  14. You are missing nothing Anthony. Take a long trip up to Northumberland or Dumfries and Galloway or Edinburgh and report back please.
  15. That was a nice read.Welcome too from me Bob. Continue to enjoy both the SC and the Forum.
  16. Have you been drinking FA ? There are indeed a growing number of Teslas within UK but not nearly as many as there are Fords or Vauxhalls or BMW.
  17. Just been out to my car and retrieved my Sat Nav section of my Handbook Colin. In the Index section at the rear is a section headed NUMBERS/SYMBOLS which appears before A. Within the section is a reference to 2D and 3D dual map screens. See if you have such a section.
  18. The positive views all come from here. From the owners. Low profile tyres and F Sport models give the hardest ride. All CT`s are reliable.
  19. Anything in the Handbook Colin? There is in mine but I have a different vehicle to you.
  20. My Sat Nav CD in my old Merc sometimes does not eject as it seems to catch something near the exit slot. Perhaps yours is doing something similar ? I eject mine by applying slight pressure with a thin item on the edge of the disk which I see on the edge of the eject slot. Good luck Piers.
  21. I`ve just come in from the car Simon. After messing about for 10 minutes I had the bright idea of spraying it onto a cloth and then rubbing it in !! Thanks Simon- I got there in the end.
