  1. i've used the pedal box on the IS300h and its the best thing ever the only thing you will wonder is why you didnt do it earlier. the auto box flash cant be done on the 300h due to it being cvt
  2. scroll to the bottom of the page https://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/tuning/car/lexus/is-iii/200t-ase30-245ps180kw-1998-ccm/#go ignore that the web site is diesel tuning they do petrol, diesel & hybrid the pedal box is brilliant . i have never used the gearbox flash as my car is cvt and not a true automatic
  3. you can get an gearbox ecu flash for auto boxes they aren't cheap though " Upto 40% Faster Gearshifts – enhances the performance of your car and gearbox by increasing torque limits and altering the gearbox TCU settings "
  4. that is exactly when you can feel how laggy the 300h is, if you feather the throttle then the lag isnt bad you really notice it when you suddenly plant your foot to the floor nothing nothing power with the pedal box that nothing nothing has gone and so are you with your foot to the floor 🙂
  5. only recently i realised how low the IS300h F sport is, as of the 11/09/2020 i part ex'd the car for a GS300h my god i feel like i am in an suv as the seating height feels so much higher than i have been used to.
  6. here is a video of an installation from DTUK you put the pedal box into perfect tune mode and press your pedal all the way to the floor and thats it all done. its the reverse to remove it and leaves no trace once removed click on the link then scroll down to see a graph showing the response https://www.chiptuning.com/en/pedalbox.html
  7. if it is better response you want then the pedalbox from dtuk is brilliant here is a link https://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/tuning/car/lexus/is-iii/300h-ave30_-181ps133kw-2494-ccm/#go it will reduce the lag in the right pedal by a noticable amount and you wont want to turn it off i know they arent cheap but they are good
  8. is there anyway of changing the amount of flashers the lane change function is set at ,the default setting seems to be 3 flashes i'd like it to be set at 7 flashes has anyone managed to do this.
  9. i have used the instructions up to pg9 step 5 if you then look on pg10 step 8 i connected the scuff plates wires to the Z2 plug this is the wiring connector for the footwell lights i done the same on the other side .
  10. yes they are really easy to fit just 2 wires i connected them to the foot lights in the car
  11. last weekend the bulbs in my friends 3rd brake light started to fail on his vw i removed all the bulbs and replaced them all using a flexible led strip and it looks really good and only £4.95 for a 1 metre strip , here is a link for the led lights if you order them order the cool white from the colour drop down list. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Led-Strip-Light-SMD-3528-5M-300led-DC-12V-Flexible-Waterproof-Stripe-Rope-Lights/254419673775?hash=item3b3c9822af:g:I4AAAOSwYBpdysZ0
  12. its certainly quieter but coming from the F Sport IS i've learnt very quickly taking corners in the GS will have to be done in a different manner, i'm still getting used to the seating as the F Sport seats would hug you quiet a bit, but in the GS it feels like your sitting on your favourite living room armchair, the size of the car hasn't been an issue i've got use to it very quickly, originally my main concern about the GS was how the performance would compare to the IS with the GS being a heavier car and being moved by the same size engine but that is not an issue i did buy the car blind without viewing it as i live in the wirral and the car was in sheffield and i only wanted to make the journey once lexus sheffield where brilliant they found issues and put them right before i saw the car for the 1st time would highly recommend them
  13. i have just put a 225/45/17 wheel i have in the garage into the spare wheel well and its proud of the boot floor by 85mm.
  14. i have for sale 2 illuminated door sill's ,if anyone is interested pm me and make me an offer, i will replace the double sided body trim tape for fixing them to the car i was hoping they would fit on my new car unfortunately not . skip from 20 seconds to 50 seconds as its the same pattern being shown 20200912_165236.mp4
  15. as promised here are some pictures of my new to me car after 1 washed, dryed, clayed and waxed it this morning i hope you like it

  17. i collected my car today from lexus sheffield everything was done and the car was ready for me to come home in, the handover wasnt anything special as it took place in the glass sales pod but it was friendly and relaxed just as it should be, i know its early to be talking about another car but i wouldn't hesitate to contact them and buy another off them in the future. well done lexus sheffield
  18. i collected the GS300h today and had a really good drive back home from sheffield to the wirral the returned mpg is amazing and i did reset the avg milage before i left sheffield. pictures will be uploaded after i have cleaned the car the way i like to clean it.
  19. Hi Gang this is the conclusion i came to aswell when considering an Ev this year, the manufacturers are alway pushing how cheap it is to run an EV and what it costs per mile this is why you wrongly assume they will save you money, to have the cheap electric for 7 hours overnight your day KW rate goes up when you calculate how much extra its going to cost throughout the day you have 2 options 1) stay on a single tariff for your electric so you dont pay anymore throughout the day to run the household and pay more for charging your car or 2) carry on using your fossil fuel car
  20. the IS300h is a 4 cylinder car the IS250 is a 6 cylinder
  21. you could try a cutting compound and see how successful it is or have the part vinyl wrapped
