  2. Hi Alan i have just had a look on jp-carparts and found this exploded view https://jp-carparts.com/lexus/partlist.php?maker=lexus&type=242130&cartype=9&fig=8404 i think it is item 89421 SENSOR ASSY, VACUUM (FOR E.F.I.) as this is the only pressure switch i can see.
  3. 4th way cover the interior sensor so it cant pick up have someone sit in the car whilst the alarm is being set and have them turn on the interior light the alarm should sound
  4. i normally get to the back of the power socket and take power to a new socket that i fit behind the dash above the footwell panels then plug the dash cam into it.
  5. i forgot about that episode of top gear but here it is 3 short clips part 1 part 2 part 3
  6. the roads cannot be that bad in London as per your location if they are you need a chelsea tractor not a car only you can decide if the roads you drive on aren't suitable for a car to be driven on, if you do use a vehicle on terrain that it isn't designed for then it will fail early regardless of the make. if you are in beirut then i recommend a tank
  7. my seats where a light grey they showed the dirt up so easily my current car is all black so the interior always looks clean
  8. so i am not the only one thinking what a pointless post this isnt the only pointless post they have made they have asked what the suspension is made from ....WTF why would anyone need to know that
  9. no one can help you making up your mind on what your next car should be you seem to know what you dont like (avensis) and what you do like (ct & accord) make a list of the pross and con for each car and make your choice from the one with the most pro's
  10. i have a spare car battery in the garage and if i ever need it i know its ready to be used i bought it back in 2016 when my battery went flat on my IS due to my car not being used for 3 weeks in winter its nice to have a get out of jail card to play if needed
  11. yes the panel with the Dolby logo on it hinges down to reveal the micro SD card location
  12. in the vertical panel above the heated seat switches there is a horizontal line this indicates the top of the door this hinges down and reveals the SD card slot
  13. from the results you see Audi and you did ask " Also how reliable is it compared to audi and other brands " its not the same as the toyota auris it is based on the toyota Auris and thats where the similarities ends, to be honest i dont understand the need to know the material used to construct the suspension as long as it works and is reliable thats all that matters
  14. i think the results from what car speak for themselves the germans are all in the 20 - 30 positions
  15. on my first is300h i had the same issues with the leather colouring and i have used flexible leather spray paint with really good results here is a link for the paint i have used :- https://www.frost.co.uk/biscuit-vinyl-and-leather-paint-400ml/ i sent them a swatch from the underside of the seat and they made the paint to match the swatch
  16. my 63 plate didnt have a sharks fin but it did have the premium nav my 17 plate has the sharks fin and the premium nav so maybe the sharkfin was added after the face lift tbh i prefer the not having sharks fin its just a smoother line across the roof
  17. once you get past a predetermined distance ( not known by me) you will be in the dead spot area please see my image below to understand my reasoning and as previously said they are only for guidance and not to be relied on 100% of the time.
  18. there is only 1 cost effective engine oil to buy and that is the correct one i.e. 0w-20 as per lexus recommendation whatever you do dont scrimp on your engine oil it will cost you far more than you will ever save in the long run, i think shell helix ultra is the one lexus uses its not cheap here is a link for 1ltr bottle https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-92101-shell-helix-ultra-sn-0w-20-pure-plus-fully-synthetic-car-engine-oil.aspx?VariantID=167786&gclid=CjwKCAjw0_T4BRBlEiwAwoEiARLkKAwoH2agCoxuhqAcTV9JosJ7bVHnoF1NpM2hlwdREJJRVGnjOxoC_t8QAvD_BwE
  19. it maybe dated 2019 but it will be the 2020 release just imagine how much time it takes to collate all the new road information for the whole of the uk and then have all that data put in an update file for you to use it will then have to be tested to ensure there are no flaws with the update before release to the public.
  20. i lifted out the cup holders and the audio controller unit in 1 piece then i filed a a slot in the top edge deep enough to accept the cable i then used some self adhesive tape to cover the top of the cable and routed the cable to the glove box . nothing can be seen when the arm rest is down.
  21. here is a link for all the insurance products that they will try and sell to you i posted this info on the CT forum a short while ago, it will give you a good idea of how much you can save instead of paying the lexus salesperson loads of commission for sitting down and drinking cups of tea and eating biscuits. https://totallossgap.co.uk/landing/Gap-Insurance-1?gclid=CjwKCAjw57b3BRBlEiwA1ImytnGAnY4ZWig32wZ1CK8UaCDWkvVwFp79nP1Z-D11lcd7WHhUQcGndBoC07oQAvD_BwE&utm_source=LexusOwnersClubUK&utm_medium=ForumLinks 3 yr policy for 18" wheels is £191.13 3yr policy for 18" tyres up to £150 / tyre is £186.56 3yr scratch & dent policy is £249.74 3yr gap policy for a car costing 30K is £189.21 total £816.64 dont forget i dont know the size of your wheels 17" is cheaper and i based the gap with the car being on a pcp with a value of 30K
  22. Hi Mark just to recap check that the panel vin stickers are present on each panel all manuals and service book are present 2 keys & locking wheel nut key check each key works if not get them to replace the battery or the key if the battery doesnt work the tyre repair bottle is in date as i think its £80 to replace it and since the IS300h is a 13 plate it may well be out of date if it hasnt been used i normally ask to have a 4 wheel alignment check done aswell you will find when you either power on or off the joystick will automatically re centre itself enjoy your car
  23. on the ct i had oem yokohamas they where sooo loud it was weird having the dunlops fitted as the cabin noise had been reduced by so much. enjoy your tyres
  24. i had them fitted on my CT, on my 1st IS300h i had michelin cross climates and when i need them on this car i will go for the dunlops again at the end of the day tyres will cost what tyres cost imo there is no point buying a tyre that doesnt have low road noise, good fuel economy & good wet braking as you buy a hybrid for the quietness & good fuel economy and who does'nt want to know they can stop in the wet i would rather pay more and know i will be happy with the tyres as you are going to have them for a few years my car was 3 in may 2020 and i'm still on the original tyres at 25500 miles
