  1. We have a smart meter and it cannot control which circuits are in use. It could only change the price dependent on time or whole house current (ampage) usage. It cannot cut supply off to the house. In any case I would have thought that it would not be legal to turn peoples electricity off at certain times, the contents of the fridge/freezer would go off, not to mention no lights to see where you are going at night. The safety aspect is a minefield.
  2. I am not sure if it will be covered under the 10 year warranty as it is probably classed as a wear and tear item, and the ten year warranty is conditional on having it serviced at Lexus. It may be worth taking it back to where you got it and see if they will fit a new battery, but be careful on what they fit as they are not standard 12V batteries, e.g. I don't think you can get them in Halfords for example. It may be best to get one direct from Lexus. Welcome to the forum by the way.
  3. Hi, Check the 12V battery in the boot. If its the original and the car has not been used for a while a flat 12V battery can lead to all sorts of strange error messages. May be worth getting a new battery. In the mean time try charging it. Thanks Paul
  4. Hi Mick, Welcome to the forum. Lots of good advice, and banter on here. We are a friendly bunch. Enjoy. Paul
  5. Had these advisories on my classic mini, until it failed the next year. Just got it back from extensive restoration cost ~ £7K. It had holes in the floor and needed new sills/ subframe etc. What that means on an LS I have no idea. Have a good prod underneath etc.
  6. I’ll have to wait for the saloon then, however quite fancy the Kia EV6 my neighbour has.
  7. Not another SUV! seems like every car is an SUV these days, what happened to saloons or for more practicality an estate.
  8. How does it adjust? Mine (IS300h) don't look symmetrical but I can't see any button to move it forwards or backwards?
  9. That’s because you are just setting the time on the navigation system. This time is only used to set the time of arrival at your destination and it can’t get this from the satellite as the satellite didn’t know what time zone you are in. glad it’s sorted now.
  10. There is a confusing setting, Daylight Saving on/off. Adjust this. It does not turn on automatic daylight saving on or off but adds or removes an hour.
  11. How about a Curry? I went for a curry the other week and had a chicken tarka. It’s like a chicken tikka but a little otter. ---------- I was having a curry with another friend who can’t eat rice. He’s basmatic. ---------- And mixing chutney and pickle made me chuckle.
  12. Interesting. Last week Cynthia (the name of the lady living in my satnav) had a sulk and wouldn’t talk to me. Couldn’t find anything wrong. Stopped for petrol and she woke up and started giving me directions for the last mile to my house, just in case I had forgotten. In my case I think just a turn the car off and on cleared it. Obviously this hasn’t worked for you. Does the radio still work, it’s not the amp? Good Luck with Chester.
  13. Not sure if this has been tried before but can we have a Jokes thread it seems to work well on other forums. We need something to make us smile. 🙃 Please keep to forum rules, keep jokes clean, no political, religious, sexist, racist or other jokes that may offended. Mods if you don’t think this appropriate please delete thread. So who is going first? I can’t think of one good enough to start the tread at the moment
  14. Won’t affect me, only put £20 a time 🙃
  15. When I bought my first Lexus from Chester (a CT in 2013) I got a full tank of petrol, plus flowers for the wife. But the bit I remember most was the salesman walked off and returned with the tax disc from my trade in and gave it to me to get a refund worth £400. They gained a loyal customer that day.
  16. Lexus Stoke. The financial side of the transaction left me feeling ripped off. But I did get the tea ceremony. do they still do that?
  17. Bought mine as an ex demonstrator. Had to fill up on the way home. When I questioned not having a full tank (as I expected it) they said you didn’t ask for a full tank. Unforgivable in my opinion. Never been back to that dealer since. In over 6 years.
  18. Hi Dan, wondered when you would pop up. In fact this thread was started because of the Adrian Flux reminder I got in the post. 🙃 Thanks Paul
