  1. RichyRich when time allows have a look through the car care guides provided by Polished Bliss( I have no connecting btw) they cover all you need to know http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/car-care-advice.html
  2. I use Spotify via bluetooth on my LG G4. I need to have the app on the front screen of the phone playing or paused for it to work. Sometimes it will play anyway without having the app on the front screen but then does not show the track details.
  3. Marrat I get your frustration, there is any easy way to sort out your ripping quandry. DB Poweramp allows tripple ripping into whatever folder you choose. So you can do FLAC, 320 mp3 and a lower versio. I havent tried it but WAV is likely supported but would take to long to load and tags etc rubbish.
  4. You can use the likes of DB poweramp to change the gain of tracks before ripping. Have you also tried setting the cars audio auto level on and off. Mine is off and yes there is a slight difference in volume when switching to the DAB radio but that's usually compressed. When the level is set to on there is no issue at all.
  5. Something not right there. Neither my CT or current IS suffer that issue. Did you rip the tracks or are the dowloads from say Amazon or Itunes.
  6. Since switching the HG car windscreen cleaner I have not had any problems. It flashes off really well so doesn't seem to smear. I use a Dodo Juice mint merkin cloth these days but also found the cheap Kent glass cloths pretty good. I have yet to clean the rear screen and cant say Im looking forward to it but will remove the head rests as it makes sense now you mention it.
  7. Thanks ill have a look at it.
  8. What is really annoying is the fact that a while back there was a move to HD in the car by some manufactures which was kicked into touch due to copyright issues by record companies. Colin I wonder if you sometimes drive with no music on just to marvel at the silence, I know I did :-)
  9. Autobalm is easy to remove once you get the method of application down pat. The trick is putting nothing on like wiping just the damp pad then buff off alnost straight away and no longet than 1 min.if you can see it on the paint youve applied too much. Pita to dry the car off but spots less. I found it didnt last that well in slickness but still use it on gloss plastics, chrome and fills a swirled number plate quite well. Thanks for the background on Autofiness Raayans, very interesting read.
  10. Once clean and free of any residue try Gtechniq 1L which will stop the seats getting ingrained dirt in the first place. It will require a mask to apply as the fumes will catch your breath but its worth it. Provided protection from dirt and abrasion is the most important thing. Sorry it's Not answering your question but thought you might want to look the stuff up anyway.
  11. A spray sealant such as Gtechniq C2 is really worth trying. You could do the whole car in 20mins yet will last for months and fine over SRP. Layer it for even better performance.
  12. I have changed my avatar as realized I had someones else's car on mine. You will get more mpg once you get the hang of it..a lot more! One last thing..watch out in car parks as people will walk out in front of you in EV mode.
  13. Thanks. It's never seen a sponge or swirlomatic carwash in its life. Always snowfoamed first then hand washed with gritguard buckets etc etc. Enjoy
  14. Yes it was. Is the salesman Sébastien by any chance?
  15. Self leveling with headlamp washers is law for all HID equiped cars. The IS has them as standard.
  16. Is the screen clean on the sensor area. I doubt this will work but its just possible there is some waxy film covering it and preventing it from working properly. Either way hope its easily sorted. I didn't realize the boot liner could be purchased on its own without the protection pack. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost?
  17. I picked my IS300h Sport up last week after trading my CT Advance which was a brilliant car. The IS is way better in every way.
  18. Thanks. Do you recall who your policy was with and what type. The one I have for my CT is the dealer supplied one which it's not a Lexus product.
  19. I am considering not taking the return to invoice cover from my dealer as I have found replacement car cover for considerably less which it's better. There are a lot of companies to choose from however ALA seems to be well regarded and seem more flexible. Anyone else got some input into this minefield?
  20. I used DBpoweramp to rip or convert all my cds /dowloads. no issues with tagging using that which is way better than for instance itunes which I found similar issues with tagging. The dual rip function is really useful as well.
  21. Thanks for the detailed reply Ian. I test drove an IS Sport this afternoon and agree with the comparisons you made on the centre console layout although the arm rest for me is better placed in the IS. The gear selector feels nice but CT one is faster to use but I'll get used to it. The ride on the huge wheels was impressive given the terrible roads. suffice to say I ordered one. Thanks for all the replies folks.
  22. I raised a query with Lexus regards my CT a couple of years ago. The file size is also important. When ripping tracks from CD for instance the higher the quality the more time it takes to load. When its a few albums its not an issue but a 16GB stick full of 320kbps takes longer. Have a look at the tracks you are playing and see what size they are. DBpoweramp is probably the best ripper/converter around if you feel like trying the to reduce them a bit as it allows batch conversion.
