  1. Recently drove a C63s (4.0 biturbo) at Brooklands on their track etc & I was massively impressed by its power, agility & poise (in the dry). I felt completely comfortable & able to push from the minute I started driving it - it’s a great car. Personally I preferred the more muscular styling of the original C63 as I find the current styling a bit dull. However the coupe does have more presence. I also find the interiors typically Germanic with too much black but do like the carbon trim. Unsurprisingly I still think the RCF is more interesting inside & out, but for raw power the AMG takes some beating. I met a guy recently who’s company audits the quality control for many manufacturer’s including the Germans. I asked him who was the most reliable of the German Manufacturer’s - his answer: none of them because they essentially assemble cars using parts supplied by others. When I asked why Lexus was more reliable he said that it was because they will stop & go back to the root cause of an issue to resolve it. Just confirms what we already know!! If you are going back to any of the German manufacturers it makes sense to have a warranty or own the car while it’s still under the manufacturers 3 year warranty & move on once it runs out. Like others have said & unsurprisingly from a man on his second F, I would go for the LC500, but might also be inclined to wait for the F version. I appreciate that it’s a way off as a second hand purchase, but in my case it’s the only car I could see me changing my RCF for - that said I haven’t had the pleasure of driving the LC500 yet?? 😉
  2. Wow I do love the sound the LC makes. Just goes to show what Lexus can do when they decide a car needs a proper exhaust note!!
  3. I waited so long I changed cars while I was talking to warranty about a H&S for my ISF. - which was slightly embarrassing 😂. Took me 4 years but was determined not to make the same mistake with the RCF. Better late than never I suppose😉
  4. Doesn’t matter you have an F - which makes you part of a very exclusive club of enlightened people 😉😎
  5. It was Pete - had PPE headers fitted, sounded brilliant & went like hell then so can only imagine what it must be like now 😉😂
  6. Really hoping I will be able to join🤞🏻 Will be interesting to see all the changes to your car since I last saw it at Bluewater with @Mattmech Matt & his son a while back👍🏻
  7. @NothernDan Sorry I’m a bit late to the party on this as am on holiday currently & signal has been a bit patchy. September is pretty packed with existing commitments so still need to check on my return, but boss thinks it’s clear for me to come out to play😉 Not sure if I’m a day tripper or overnighter at the mo, but think it would seem sensible to stay at the Premier Inn mentioned TBH, so will deal with this in the next few days. Thanks for all your hard work organising this and hopefully look forward to joining on the 29th 👍🏻 I’m not on WhatsApp, but would be great to join the other members meeting at M25/jt18 for the trip up 🤞🏻.
  8. @Peter P18 Pete carbon looks spot on - really like the sterring wheel 👍🏻
  9. I’m exactly the same since a certain @Big Rat twisted my arm into having the QuickSilver exhaust fitted 😉😉 Has transformed the enjoyment of the car for me - just brilliant. Although I suspect our exhausts will be eclipsed by yours - sounds fantastic, very race car👍🏻
  10. Wow that looks & sounds epic. Very nice purchase & hope to hear it in the flesh at some point - although I might need ear defenders 😉😂 Bet you won’t be listening to the stereo that much now 😉
  11. Having sat in @Warrington guy Dave’s M4, iwhich is a cracking colour scheme inside out and travelling to Goodwood this year in a friends 2017 competition M3 I can totally see the appeal. I like how they sound, was really impressed by the ride quality with the adaptive dampers over my past BMW’s, and the instant pickup. Not driven one as yet but if the C63s I drove around a track is anything to go by these current turbo charged generation of cars have certainly moved things on a step. They have a linear power delivery with no discernible lag and didn’t really feel that different to drive than a NA car with the advantage of loads more torque. They certainly require a smoother right foot given all that torque and I’m sure extra care in the wet, but that said I was really impressed TBO. M’s are a common sight where I live to the point of almost being invisisble, which a shame for such a great car. I love the fact that the RCF doesn’t look like any other car and that clearly resonates with other people as I’ve never had so much positive attention and interest in any other car I have owned. It’s not quite as quick as an M4, but that will make little difference on our roads in most situations and I will never use it on a track. I seem to spend most of my time these days sitting in traffic with the window down listening to the QS exhaust burble and when I get the opportunity - wow what a car, I just love it. The M sounds good but not quite as good a V8 IMO. Still each to their own and there are always pros & cons to all cars have you have pointed out.. The biggest issue for me with owning a BMW is not the car it’s the dealers. I have had bad experiences with my local dealer and do not trust them. I also dislike the way they treat customers as if owning a BMW is a privilege, which therefore means poor customer service and quality control is somehow acceptable. I would personally now only ever consider owning a BMW within its 1st 3 years of the manufactures warranty then moving on before you start having to pay for the issues which may arise. It’s this paranoia which tends to ruin the experience for me. But if you have the spare money available to offset this there is no doubting they are a great car.
  12. Just need to put the car in gear ASAP & problem sorted 👍🏻😉
  13. Welcome to the club Nick & I hope it goes well. They are a brilliant car without the paranoia that comes with owning the fun stuff from Germany!! I went for the warranty because as you said it’s good value with the breakdown cover, so was a no brainier for me. Had my ISF for 4 years & it never missed a beat. Can’t think of anything else that I can say that about - well other than another F of course 😉
  14. That’s good news - keep them coming 👍🏻
  15. Sorry I unfortunately can’t make this one - holidays uhh!! 🙄
  16. Thought I could rely on you to find that image 👍🏻😉
  17. Ah - was certainly worth a try. Think most people hang on to them to be able to return the car to stock.
  18. I couldn’t understand why they were so expensive until I saw a picture of one. It’s not just the mesh & tips, they are part of a resonator assembly. H&S only sell bespoke exhausts - they were suggested because if you have the misfortune of loosing one from each side & can only source replacements from Lexus at £400 a corner the H&S (with tips) is a no brainier.
  19. Your no fun!! 😉 But I have to agree that would be a mod too far 😆
  20. @Big Rat Hi Paul looks really smart mate & glad it’s all worked as you hoped. The mods can’t quite be finished though as the car will need a red light bar in the front to be the full “Kit” - that & of course a Hasselholf mullet 😉😆
  21. Quite like the colour of the first car but not a fan of the bolted on look. The grey one looks really smart although I’m not a fan of that style of wheel personally, but that’s easily changed. 👍🏻
