  1. Does it feel like you are driving over a comb (best description I could come up with) :) Otherwise it was just a bad road surface I noticed. I've only experienced this a couple of times, but not on my normal commute, which is lucky. David
  2. Mine had VD12102C from the factory, and I have not experienced any issues with it. So unless the new updates are ground breaking, I'll use the adage: "If it's not broken, don't fix it". David.
  3. Well my 40 mile commute with ECo on was an eye openner. With my driving style, I have found it giving a poorer MPG than when on normal, not much, but I'd expect it to had be better the other way, and by a greater margin. David.
  4. First night drive, and the lights in the door handles were a pleasant surprise. David.
  5. Not noticed the Golf's, but agree with other two. The BBC are very fond of headline chasing with stories, and are very biased politically. If you want balanced reporting on anything tune in anywhere else but the Beeb. Defrauding the testing would be illegal, but the US would settle out of court for everything, with plea bargaining. David.
  6. The DAB is good on my ML, my Wife just commented today on the clarity of the drums. David.
  7. I've just done about 1300miles, and averaging just over 50 on the trip (yes I know not accurate, but it is my reference mark). This on a 40mile commute to work on the a31, a trip to sunny Southend, and another to sunny Bognor Regis. So pretty stable. But I'm used to driving a CVT economically, as I have had one for the last 10 years. Mode: normal Going to try Eco for next weeks commute David.
  8. Actually most cars are cheaper than getting on the bus, the downside is the parking costs, even for a EV. But I'm not knocking the Leaf, I actually like the route of the EV, just needs to be one that I like. Whereas I was able to find one in a Hybrid, being a fuss pot. David.
  9. Ha ha, edited. I'm sorry but this site doesn't work very well on my browser. Sometimes can't back-space, and skips words and characters. David (bad Tripe-ist)
  10. The car was taken in today for the warranty fixes today. The rear leather panel was replaced, and the interior wheel arch plastic cover replaced. Car valeted again, and collected and returned by the Business manager, just the type of service to restore confidence. Thank you Lexus. David.
  11. I doubt they would, as probably dup'd as much as the US goverment testers. But would you honestly believe what the UK is saying about the VW's testing in the UK, I wouldn't. David.
  12. I possibly could have gone for a Tesla, given the arguments here. But to be honnest it doesn't float my boat visually. As it's interior was too i-pady, and the exterior too retro Jag. Although now the 5k home charging station is being offset by the future hike in tax for a high priced car. There are 2 Tesla charging stations within walking distance which is very lucky. But the Tesla was also too large for me and the other smaller EV's just plain dull. Waiting for the smaller Tesla was not an option, as we needed to change car sooner, as I do not change cars very often, but the next car will certainly be an EV, but not yet :winky: David
  13. One article on how it would work. Although not for us over here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/green-motoring/2740900/Hydrogen-island.html David.
  14. Ah, sorry. Only the second link is appropriate then. But from what I see, their web site is worse that Lexus, which is impressive. I see very little in the one used car available currently, I suspect that was what you saw when looking for yours. I agree with you on the wording of the following: 60:40 Power Folding Rear Seat That is straight from their PDF specifications, and extremely misleading. David.
  15. Although I can see a bit of grey area in the description. . I was looking at this model too, but was never under that impression that the seats function in that manner: If you want to take it further than your local dealer: http://blog.lexus.co.uk/contact-us/#gf_1 These are your rights: https://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en/articles/your-rights-if-something-is-wrong-with-your-car I hope you get a satisfactory outcome David
  16. Mine does that too, with no fix. So not connected Darren, is my guess. Davud.
  17. One way they could tax you for an electric car is for home charging. Could be the need for a charging licence, dastardly, but possible. Or if you have a fast charging point, the electricity is 'charged' at a higher rate per unit. David
  18. Brown interior, oh so British Leyland Rover. Apart from that looks really nice. David.
  19. I got in touch with Lexus UK on issues, and the Dealer got back like a scolded cat in 2 hrs. Although Lexus UK said they'd get in contact with me early this week, but they didn't. They can expect a strongly worded email next monday if not. good luck David Missing Honda service and Quality control.
  20. Was offered on mine, as below: SLH products.pdf
  21. I like the NX, but a marmite car. My Wife hated it, and I hated the 300h's mpg, and handling.
  22. I got a stone chip on the Honda's bonnet, that went a fair way through. It showed a bit of rust, but never developed into anything significant after 6 years of 20k motoring. Which would have been more likely to rust than a door, and yes I was less fussy on the appearance of the Honda. Ultra reliable car, but just a mode of transport, not special. David.
  23. So is it why modern leather doesn't smell leathery, due to the sealent? The interiors just seem to smell cardboardy now. David.
