  1. You should try Peter Green's - Supernatural an Anthology. If you haven't already.
  2. I still like the sound system reasonably loud (Well when on a motorway anyway), goes to say - You can take the boy out of Essex, but not Essex out of the boy. :)
  3. I love the spelling error, although could be a translation error: AM / FM Turner with in dash single disc CD player
  4. Understood, but my comments were meant on the poor validation of software releases in general. Navi / Phone or in Banking systems(Cough.. RBS). Even if it was the navigation system, it may be a prior bit of firmware update that the phone updated. Often in the field that I work in, code management. It is not the change going in that is incorrect, it is a systems protocol it relies on that was released too early, and not communicated to others.
  5. Wouldn't put it past Apple's update being duff either(and other phone makes). My Wife's I-Mac always has Bluetooth and/or wifi issues every update. So I wouldn't always say it is necessarily the Car's software causing the faults all the time Apples quality control is very poor, they ignore many of the beta testers faults they find, just to meet the deadlines for software releases. Mainly so the release managers meet their targets, and get their bonuses at the end of the year.
  6. I do hope the factory builds them with the latest release of the infotainment software. I would be a prize pain to have to return for an update to the dealership.
  7. Will be annoying if mine comes with the issue from the factory. Although I'd probably not notice since I'll be listening to music 99% of the time I'm driving. But you'd expect a known retro fix, to be a permanent feature from the factory pretty quickly.
  8. As for the error codes, even if there was a PDF/Manual available giving us a description. Being a computer techie myself, all it would say would be "Contact your system's administrator"...... But I am the B*%%$y Administrator! :)
  9. Belated hello, and welcome from another awaiting delivery. Post some pictures when you get her, you have far fewer sleeps till you get yours. So you can enjoy it more in the nice (hopefully), weather.
  10. Just 8 weeks to wait till I'm an official Lexus owner. I've already found the forum very informative, and friendly. Can't wait for the car to arrive, although the last car of 9 years (Honda), has been superb, and is going to my Son as a second car. It still runs sweetly with no issues since new, hence why I'm going for another car built in Japan, as the Honda was. I decided to get the Lexus due to it's quietness and refinement. I did look at the other premium manufacturers offerings in the same price bracket. but for the same economy, I would needed to go for a diesel. I wanted something quieter when stationary, since it is supposed to be a luxury car. I have nothing against diesels (previously owner an Audi A3 TDI), but when spending that amount of money, I wanted something a bit different, and quiet. I know the German brands are now producing hybrid's, but I'd rather have something less commonplace and from an established hybrid dealership as well. My choice was: IS300h F-Sport Leather memory heated/ventilated seats Mercury Grey Premium navigation Mark Levinson audio Look forward to speaking with you all. David.
  11. Glad to hear they are actively following it up. I may also look into investing in a dash cam, what are the popular devices. Given that a navigation device with one would be pretty surplus for me? I'd never thought of them before for evidence of bad driving before. It would certainly improve my mood, knowing I've caught said idiot on film.
  12. I really liked the NX300h a lovely looking vehicle, but the MPG on the test drives, doing my type of driving pattern was not very attractive. I did another test drive in the IS300h, which was much better. A shame as the NX is a great looking car, and would have been able to load those bulky items the few times I need to. But I retained the old car to do that instead, and the IS will not be forced to do what it is not designed for, whereas the NX would have been perfect.
  13. The F-Sport is only costing me £30 a year more that my Wife's 1.4 Honda Jazz. Helps sell it to the Mrs, plus more MPG and £100+ lower tax.
  14. I couldn't stand the Mercedes dealerships, and chose an IS300h F-Sport. Reliability and service are #1 on my list.
  15. I'm used to it had a Honda (old man's car) for the last 9 years, at 46. The trouble is they are not mature enough to understand that us old blokes are more savvy with the cars we buy, they buy all the bad service and reliability issues.
  16. Unfortunately, those so-called experienced drivers actually put it back on whilst driving forward. I've never really seen the point of removing the seatbelt, but I'm not large or pregnant (well that would be remarkable) :) Sorry totally inept of linking the original quote. on reversing without a seatbelt.
  17. I did a mixed test drive of an IS F-Sport, prior to ordering. This was on ECO mode and got 60.4mpg. Although I've not ever owned one, I've driven a CVT for 10 years. So the mode of driving is a very similar mechanic to what I'm used to. I did a bit of out of character driving, which gave 53mpg, which surprised me. The demo car was a Mar '15 with 6k on the clock, so would be fairly loosened up by now. Looking forward for the delivery :)
