  1. Maybe it's me but I could not understand that, what do you mean by -"If I engage cruise at"- It sounds like you 'normally' drive in sports mode but occasionally/sometimes change to normal cruise mode......sorry but I just dont understand what you 'really' mean.
  2. Out of the above link by spacewagon I would opt for this (below), I know screams of to expensive, I agree its far above most LS400 prices but for that price the buyer will almost certainly be running that car in another 10 years time with very little spent beyond some suspension part replacements in the 10 year gap. http://bit.ly/2u9gWrh
  3. Now that rings some distance bells, there was a popular 4x toyota sort of half truck about in I think the 1990's, it went usually with a name ie toyota - ???? it could take an awsome amount of very rough handling, if i remember rightly that TV motoring program put it through a series of seriously tough tests, including (I think) letting it get submerged in the sea and driving it after.....it really did get numerous hard hammering tests & came out of them fine, just looked a bit battered thats all...anyone remember that & the name of that toyota???
  4. yea, 'Chelsea tractor', they used to use them a lot on shoots on an estate I go with the dog, best place for 'em but I doubt they can take anything like the hammer 'real' land rovers can take.
  5. I think if you read my post again you'll find I am 'non informed' on RR's
  6. I have never understood why on earth RR & that type of vehicle became very popular in London of all places, yet RR or that type are all over the flaming place here, no wonder that mayor we have (khan or something) seems to be starting a campaign to get cars/petrol vehicles banned from London by 2050, he's still not made it clear who's going to clean the horse muck up when tesco gets its horse & cart deliveries
  7. Are they? I know nothing about them, but I never heard anything bad either, what problems engine or what?
  8. I cannot make out the number, its not the number i thought it was, do you have it? thanks
  9. No detail whatsoever on that add, not even year or mileage...........buyer beware, it could end up in a one night stand and ditched afore morning
  10. i would ask your local/nearest lexus dealer if they can you another one
  11. I >think< (if i remember correctly) you had to keep pressing & pressing the button on those old fobs till it resets the codes, that is if the battery on the fob is still working. To resolve it, Ive had my security system deliberatly disabled by my mechi eleci, it was a big, big hassle trying to get it to reset with that obsolete fob every time the battery was disconnected, now that problem is gone.
  12. Anyone intending coming into london from west or north west needs to avoid M40/A40 and probably from North westish direction needs to avoid the entire access areas due to a major fire totally engulfing a 27 story block of occupied flats, ambulances & fire vehicles are there from all regions and access to area needs to be kept clear, probably affecting the harrow rd area & routes in from the wembly areas and all access routes from the western approaches......fire at Latimer Rd & building at risk of collapse
  13. You sound like a timid, fragile person......LOL, not like 'old baz' he's made of sterner stuff
  14. Thanks very much for that mrdoofa, very interesting information, whatever it says about 'old baz' it certainly says a lot about 'some' posters here, not surprising they could not name one specific thing wrong with the guy except name was 'old baz'. I am very glad I brought this subject up, poor bloke, gets slagged off >by implication< just for buying & using lexus.............maybe those who slagged him off by implications should chuck in & buy him a new LS500h.......to resolve their guilt
  15. Yes when I first saw his name coming up time & time again my initial reaction was that he was a bit of flyboy selling LS400 as perfection but knowing there was something 'not right' with individual cars.....but......as weeks went by of numerous 'implied' negative innuendos about 'old baz', I had also noticed that not one single comment stated anything specific untowards about 'old baz' or not one negative generalization about him or the cars he sells. So this morning I questioned some folks, well youve seen the result, not one, iota of evidence or implied evidence that he is doing anything at all other than selling LS's in as much good faith as anyone else,...................... ok, quote of the day, "Fake news folks, fake news"...................unless proven otherwise.
  16. OK Colin thanks for that. I bought this on ebay in 2011. I also bought it outside normal 'auction procedure' thats how I got it, instead of bidding 10 or 20 quid above the last bidder I bid the max I decided to pay for it (appx 150 quid above the last bidder) in thefinal seconds of the auction, that threw aother bidders into maybe 'thinking' about it.....to late auction over, great LS400 was my result but outside "normal auction procedure", I was there to win the car not be crowned king of the loosers
  17. Thanks Malc, that gives enough clarification to my question. From whats said it sounds a bit like someone who is/might be selling LS400's & 430's as a source of PT income and as opposed to a full time dealer selling multi makes & models of cars from a forecourt. Well, I have heard of no specific 'car problem/issues' mentioned about any of the cars he's selling or sold in the past, if there is anything anyone knows relative to that & which fits a pattern (as opossed to a one off) then please outline it. Good luck to anyone who's making a few quid, no skin at all of my nose.
  18. Well the fact you have not answered any of my questions you had aleady "left it there" One last question, what? is it that I lack understanding of beyond he things I already asked & to which got not one single reply
  19. It is not my mind thats likely to be affected, there are people who probably buy these old LS400 for the first time, UNLESS there is something specific about this baz then why is he different to any other car dealer????????????? unless he tends to specialise in LS400s......
  20. Yes I think he is a dealer because he is constanly coming up on many posts >these days< on the forum, but, what I am not hearing is whats supposed to be any different with him than car dealers in general???????
