Do you mean he advertises as a private indivual but has a used car dealership somewhere....... If so, whats wrong with that? surely if someone is a used car dealer their job (every one of them) is to sell cars using the best sales techniques they can think of, dealerships are about making money! If I did buy a car from a dealer I would not have expected him/her to have bought the car, parked it on his/her property & sell it at the same price they bought it for, surely if one of this baz's succesfull selling techniques is to pretend he is a private seller then why does that seem to equate with he is selling tat?? or he that shoud not use that succesfull sales technique.....I just dont get whats so awfull about it if thats all

Sorry but I am lost about regular refs to 'old baz', as oppsed to used car dealers in general, other than he is a (any) used car dealer, personally I don't normaly buy from used car dealers although I have noticed lately there are a higher % of LS400 being sold by them compared to private individuals......anyway I would like to know what it is about 'old baz' which folks indicate not to buy from him? to me he is just a used car dealer...no more no less...anyone got anything speciic?????

Is that happening a lot these days, Ive noticed a higher % of the LS400's seem to be in the hands of trade sellers these days compared to a few years ago.

If its that far away I can only suggest that you & dealer agree on a significant test drive aforhand, as opposed to a quick spin round the block

I noticed the same bidder kept outbidding themselves throughout the auction, same pattern with some other of the same sellers items. It was 'probably' one of the most expensive 1993, LS400, no MOT, Flat battery, no test drive possible, must be transported away (to whatever part of UK the 'buyer' was in).............of all time

What warranty? lexus? how old is it?

OK thanks, I was talking to a merc s class appx 5 years ago, he was an executive hire, but,his merc had a non optional version & he did not like it at all for london driving, other cars coming over the white lines, heavy goods have part of their bodies over them, he said it would be good if it was optional, to me it sounds common sense to have it as an option I suppose there is drving a car & fighting your way through london with one

OK, do you drive in cities/towns much? I was wondering if it would be of use or a potential nuisance in London, I can see a benefits in no so busy places though, is it an On/Off option?

Hi guys, car dunce here again, what is a brake actuator & what is full LSH on the 460?

I remember someone on here went to an LS460 some years ago, he wished he never got rid of the 400 but his only gripe with the LS460 was the comfort, not that it wasn't comforatble he said it just not feel as comfortable as the LS400, which he wanted back, he really did regret getting rid of it for a 460, no idea if mechi probs started to occure after that.Yours is the first post about them I have seen since his post, maybe someone with a better experience can comment, if not maybe some more feedback on the LS430, aint seen much of that either. Thanks for the feeback & shots Seems a pity toyota brought the accountants back after the 400's.

Highly (very) unlikely, LS 400 parts were allways rare in them & as far as London is concerned there are very, very few car breakers compared to 10+ years ago, many breakers here in recent years just sell the metal, it might be related to the amount of electronics in cars of recent years.
