  1. The cheapest demo to the same spec on the Approved Used site is more than £3,000 more than I'm paying for a new car. If another price rise does happen, I guess I'll just have to accept it - although in that case, if I'd known in advance, I might have been more tempted by the Premium Pack. You can't win them all.
  2. I think the list is the P11D value, so you can deduct the VED and First Registration Fee from the OTR price.
  3. Thinking about this a bit more - I hope there isn't another price increase between now and when I take delivery (currently planned for September). I believe the VED surcharge is calculated on the list price at date of registration; the government couldn't care less about the price of the car at the time the order was placed.
  4. I see they've added another £1,500 onto the price of a Premium Edition - it's now £39,255. Add on special metallic, then subtract VED and First Registration Fee, and it comes in around £39,950; just below the higher VED threshold.
  5. Interesting document. I'm sure there must be a reason why all variants except the Premium Edition have 4 tie down hooks in the boot, but I'm not sure what it could be.
  6. You forgot the higher VED rate!
  7. I've ordered a Premium Edition this morning. They're quoting July/August delivery, so I'll wait for the 72 plate in September.
  8. The plate is GX64***. I believe all Lexus company car plates start with G. If it were meant to be a Cornish car, it would have a plate starting W.
  9. Placements were definitely planned in the 90s. TV and film companies wanted access to cars without having to pay for them, and car companies wanted exposure.
  10. I think the retail price has gone up about £1,250 since then.
  11. I believe the prices will be going up again in about 10 days time, so make your decision quickly.
  12. Does this link provide the information you want? https://www.lexus.co.uk/my-lexus/vehicles/manage#/
  13. I spoke to a dealer yesterday who said they were quoting July/August delivery for orders placed now.
  14. I'm in the purchase decision phase at the moment. I was initially looking at the Premium Pack, but I'm now virtually decided on the Premium Edition. The main things I would miss would be leather, the 360 camera, and the upgraded headlights. I'll be the only driver, so memory seats are not an issue. I don't do that much night driving on minor roads, so the lights are probably not a major thing. I can definitely live without window blinds (electric or manual), illuminated scuff plates, the seat moving for me to get out, LED ambient lighting, and sequential indicators. To save £4,500 on the list price, and a further c £1,500 on VED over five years, I think I'll go without leather and the 360 camera, and try to remember to push a button to fold the mirrors.
  15. I would say that's a problem if it's generating enough heat to clear frost while it's in standby mode.
  16. Don't you think you should delete the image? You're putting someone's email on general display. I assume staff see more profile details than we lesser mortals!
  17. Vielleicht hier? https://euro.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/46182-tieferlegen/#comments
  18. I missed another one! If you check the rear view, you can see the speed limit in the Tesco car park is 10 mph. I rest my case. I'm just off to the shops to get a life.
  19. Cutting over the hatching on leaving the roundabout to get into the left hand lane?
  20. I can see the logic in a dealer fitting a dashcam to their demos and loan cars, but I can also understand why they would remove them before selling the cars as used vehicles - after all, a dealer is the person who tells you that options and accessories add nothing to the value of your part ex! They would probably argue that you drove the car as a loan car, and not as a vehicle that had been prepped for sale as a used car, and that the preparation normally involves the removal of the dashcam.
  21. Is it a UK dealer that's telling you this? I know your location says London, but I see the outside temperature is 27C, and the speedo reading is in kph.
  22. Queuing for the charging points?
  23. Has anyone heard anything about Mercury Grey no longer being available? It's shown as an option in the brochure dated June 2019, but it seems to have disappeared from all trim levels on the configurator.
  24. I think it's more about weight, and its impact on fuel consumption and emissions testing.
