  1. My rears MPS4'S' have lasted over 25k miles and are at about 3mm. Fronts have been on same amount and are at 5mm. I have the USRS that @Toothy mentions. I also get my wheel alignment done by a specialist in Southampton every year. I also run at 40psi all round. The tyres are currently Nitrogen filled but may as well put snake oil in them for the difference I have noticed 😉
  2. Never had an anti squeal or fitting kit for mine. I have run EBC Yellow stuff, Brembo and now Ferodo DS2500 pads and no fitting kit or anti squeal kit has come with or been ordered with any of them.
  3. I sold mine to a bloke in Amsterdam last year so will ping him to keep an eye out for it happening. Now... The real question... Got a sound clip of the tiny pig oinking? 😉
  4. I preferred the DC2's for out and out rawness. They really are track cars on the road and weigh in at approx. 1100kg. Problem is the good ones are rocketing in price. The bad ones are rusting away. The DC5 felt a lot more grown up and looks a lot nicer but never felt as special. Share a load of mechanicals with the EP3 Type R so spare parts never an issue either. @AlanS - not sure if you have had a chance to compare a 2 to a 5. Having 3 DC5's though. Fair play.
  5. I test drove an FK2 when it came out and loved it. Wife deployed the fun anchor and told me I couldn't spend 33k on a Honda. I do love the FK8 even though the looks decide opinion somewhat. I have had 2 x DC2 Integra Type R's, a DC5 Type R and an S2000. Bit of a Honda fanboy really 🙂 In the end, reverse psychology meant me proposing spending approx. 20k on an ISF ended with her stating that was much more reasonable 😉
  6. Who was the chap who went for an FK8 Civic Type R from an ISF? Having turned 40 a couple of months ago, I fancy making the same change next year as having a midlife boy racer crisis 😉
  7. @hockeyedwards not sure if Lexusbreakers.co.uk have an account on here already 😉
  8. Looking at the pics on their site it looks like a pre 2010 model despite 2010 reg. No blue marking at base of steering wheel and no DAB radio probably means no LSD 😞 Sad state of affairs if it has 61k genuine miles on it.
  9. I have 245/45 front and 275/30 rear. Double check Costco. I think they will only fit tyre sizes as specified by manufacturer. Not sure if this is a nationwide policy but I do remember someone on here having Costco refuse to fit them.
  10. @Cactus - I highly recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 'S' in the upsized fitting. My rears are only just down to 3mm as of today after completing approx. 25k miles including some track work. Incredible tyres so far and will be swapping them out for the same. Fronts are down to 5mm having covered same distance 🙂
  11. There is a Lotus/Jaguar garage nextdoor to Lexus who are part of the same group. I wonder if someone with an F Type R or Exige has a similar badge of honour 😉
  12. So on topic (sort of). Mine went in today for an MOT at Lexus in Poole. Lovely 19 plate NX as a courtesy car. Slight difference in where I dropped it off and where it was tested 😉
  13. Welcome to the club @Cactus Bilstein do replacement shocks that are compatible with OEM springs. One of the chaps on here used to run them. Can't remember who though. They may be worth a look as they are cheaper than most colivers. If you do go coilover route... As @Twellsie says... Get them setup properly. If you have something that has 10 different settings then you have a 9/10 chance of getting it wrong if you are just going at it with a ride height adjusting tool 😉
  14. Wow. Passive aggressive much. Nothing bitchy about my post.
  15. 67 what? Red ones? Not sure what difference that makes to any strategy. As I mentioned. Depends what it goes for. If you want a fast and reliable track car with cheap consumables compared to it's stablemates (Assuming it's a 2010 with an LSD and not a late 09 that has been registered late). It could be a bargain for someone who likes to drive to a track day, have some fun & then drive it back home. (or has enough dough to have it purely as a second track car). If that's the case then you don't worry about the interior, the wheels, the paint. You just enjoy it. Or... restore it to it's former glory and pray that the values start to rise after pouring a lot of money into it.
  16. Depends how much it goes for but could be a decent reliable track car project. How you do that to a seat I do not know unless they let their kid play around with a Stanley knife in the back 😉 Also, those discs are fubar. Spider cracks on all the holes probably points to some track time (happened to mine but I am not shy in saying I track mine)
  17. Bit late to the conversation... I am running the wider setup of MPS4S tyres all round. So far the rears have completed over 20k miles including 10 laps of the Nordschleife and still have about 3mm of tread left. In contrast, I ran Conti Sport 6 tyres the year before (including a Ring Trip) and they lasted 10k. I am surprised they lasted so long (I once went through a set of Toyo's on my old S2000 in 6.5k miles). Needless to say, MPS4S are my tyre of choice for now. They still have some life left 🙂 And no... I don't drive like Nanna Moon 😉
  18. White... Every day of the week 🙂 exhaust trim not being replaced on red one... I am fairly sure these trims just aren't available anymore. Lexus Cheltenham gave me £300 off an extended warranty in exchange for one side of exhaust trims that were 10 years old. The other side I gave away before I realised their true value. You can get copies from the States but they look odd. That and you want to put an aftermarket exhaust on it anyway 🙂
  19. Looks a bit like a video game here but it is real 🙂
