  1. Touching the door handle to lock/unlock will only work if the key fob is within range, so there must be a radio signal present? I always use the touch method to lock the car, as I'm stood right next to it I can see and hear it is locked, plus I always have the door mirror auto-fold on so I can see when I look back, the car has been locked. When in a public space I also double touch (touch, wait a couple of seconds and touch again) the handle to deadlock the car. This means even if a window is broken the car doors cannot be opened from the inside.
  2. This, to me , is the biggest positive for the plug-in models. 👍
  3. So, called into my local ATS (visited often when I had my AMG..) and spoke with the manager regarding the availability of CC2 in the 235/55/20 size. He tapped away on the keyboard and sighed... Yes, they are offered in that size but currently there is no stock and Michelin give no date for when they will become available. Apparently this could mean anywhere between 4-6 weeks to 6 months! As ATS Euromaster is part of the Michelin group I would imagine they would be best placed to know
  4. Just inputting the tyre size brings up that offering, along with the Pilot Sport EV
  5. I've checked both those suppliers and nothing for the RX on 20" wheels No problem getting CC2 in the 18" wheel size...
  6. Can you see small round button-like inserts in the front valance area? If yes, are the parking sensors switched on? The button will be identified in the handbook
  7. If you sign up to lexus.eu https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Default.aspx go to the Repair tab https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Menu/Repair and then you can input the VIN to give you the complete build sheet for your car. It will not tell you what is 'extra' as that would require a baseline but it is genuine Lexus information...
  8. You need to find out why the battery is being discharged. Being a hybrid the car doesn't require a high capacity battery as all it does is monitor and activate the entry system and power up the computers.
  9. Just be aware the Faraday pouches do fail, sometimes quite rapidly, due to the constant flexing. So would recommend testing the effectiveness routinely. Otherwise you could simply temporarily disable the function with the double key press on the fob?
  10. Depends on how the suspension has be designed. The RX on 20" and 55 profile tyres corners just as flat as my RC on 19" and 35 profile tyres. The big difference is the RX tyre soaks up the sharper irregularities, it's less 'crashy' over expansion joints etc.. Both cars have/had AVS. I'm guessing the suspension in the NX will be the same irrespective of wheel choice, so I think cornering might suffer? Does the model variant chosen have AVS?
  11. I didn't but on our trip to Cornwall the notification appeared, I changed nothing. On our drive home, nothing! I'm investigating one of the apps from the e-store, Cyclops a safety camera alert function updated in real time. Only thing is my Lexus portal reports me as having a subscription to the end of Oct 2023, when the car is 3yrs old but the multimedia system in the car keeps asking me to subscribe..... A disconnect somewhere!
  12. Be careful with OTA updates as they seem to kill the safety camera alert function. When looking at my MM system it says the update can take over an hour, depending on internet connection and one must leave the car in the Ready state so not to discharge the battery.
  13. Quick update, connected services are up and running!
  14. Welcome! Which car do you need help on, the 2016 ES, or the left-hand drive 2022 NX? Would your location be Berkshire, England or Berkshire Massachusetts?
  15. Well it's listed as replace on major services on both my RC and RX
  16. Apart fro the OP wishing to do so without removing the wheels? The caps will be discarded and new ones fitted, so drive a screw through the old and pull free with pliers. Clean up the recess and push in the new caps... Simples!
  17. If you are replacing with new, why not simple drive a screw through the old cap and pull off?
  18. Mobile phone tethering is still possible and recommended.
  19. Yes it lives in the little cubby on the off-side of the load area. I spoke with Lexus customer services and, surprisingly was advised it's very expensive to get their data plan and would be better served using my own mobile plan. There's a bit more discussion in my other thread
  20. I think the point of the thread is one no longer receives a card (of any description) when taking out the Lexus Roadside Assistance. When I renewed my cover it was stated in the confirming letter they no longer send plastic cards, 'to save the planet'...
  21. The tax is based on the list price (at the time of first registration) , not what one actually pays
  22. Do you have an active data plan for the in-car hotspot?
