  1. I remember calling lexus bristol last year who assured me the passenger airbag issue will taking place early April this year. I called again in April and was told the work would commence mid June. Called again June and was told they expect the parts late July. We are now well into august and still no word. I've just about given up hope now 😔
  2. I'm rather surprised to see so much car crime here in Hereford. I've never had a problem myself and don't know of anyone who has. Luckily where I work in hay on wye car crime is none existent.
  3. I'm not that fussed about the airbag, it's the free valet I want 😀
  4. Not yet @Flytvr will speak to my parents over the weekend and hopefully secure the function room for us. Will start a thread on the meets board when finalised.
  5. OK guys I'll have to clear it with my parents first but it won't be a problem. I was thinking first weekend in September. Saturday lunchtime would be good. We have a large safe car park so plenty of room for you all. As promised a free lunch for all those attending and and plenty of Guinness for @Big Rat
  6. OK no need to rub it in 😅 I'm the other side of the beacons and can just about see hay bluff on a good day. I think I will organise a meet actually. My parents own the bunch of carrots pub in hereford. This would be ideal and maybe a free lunch and a drink for all attending forum members 😀
  7. We certainly are Steve, I love it here.😃 Hey maybe we should organise a forum meet on the brecon beacons? Hay on wye would be ideal.
  8. Same here when I used to do the trip in my previous is220d. It's heaps more fun in my 250 f-sport. Llandeilo is lovely by the way. I'm very often in the area as do a lot of hiking on the black Mountain and very often visit the town at the end of the day for a meal. It's such a lovely drive back through the beacons into hereford. 😀
  9. Wales of course 😀 The black mountains/brecon beacons has some fantastic twisty roads and the views are breathtaking. My favourite has to be the A483 from builth wells into Llandrindod Wells then on to Newtown and into Welshpool. I do this trip every other Sunday to visit my family and there really is a lovely drive out.
  10. Hello and welcome to the lexus owners club. What a lovely looking lexus you have there and in my favourite colour too 😀
  11. Surprised I didn't see you around today as I've been on the brecon beacons most of the day. I parked up at the story arms on the A470 before heading off up to pen y fan.
  12. Hello and a warm welcome to the lexus owners club 😀
  13. Personally I would spend the extra £20 or so and purchase the original filters because it's a lexus and I wouldn't use anything else on my vehicle, but that's just me. Or maybe treat yourself to a K&N filter set.
  14. I had 2 uniroyal rainsport 3 fitted to the rear of my previous is220d and can't rate them highly enough. Absolutely superb in the wet. My current lexus still has the original dunlop tyres and are also superb but when it comes to replacing them I'm definitely having the rainsport's fitted.
  15. Erm don't think I'll be trading my IS250 F-sport in for one of those any day soon unless I wanted people to think I was a clown on my day off 😅
  16. My guess is you have air in the brake fluid or even low fluid. If your pads are fine and the brake fluid is fine then it's almost certainly a seized caliper and probably the rears. As I mentioned I had the same problem and my pads/rotors had plenty of life in them. Not sure what my problem was but after the service with the requested caliper clean and grease, the brakes have been superb.
  17. I had a similar problem myself when I first bought my IS250. After a full service at my local garage including brake fluid change and greasing of all brake caliper slider pins (which I specifically asked them to do) the brakes have been perfect since.
  18. Well having owned both the IS220D and the IS250 I strongly advise you go for the IS250. It's better in every single way. Light years ahead infact and probably the most reliable car you can buy. The diesel is totally the opposite. Just read through the threads here on the forum. I had a variety of problems myself with the diesel. Mpg was very poor for a diesel I found. Infact my 250 gets slightly better mpg. I can easily get low 40's on a good motorway run with cruise and even tootling around town I get low-mid 30's which isn't bad for a 2.5 litre V6 engine.
  19. Well I would much rather have the analogue clock than the 1970's one in my IS250.
  20. Hello and a warm welcome to the lexus owners club. You've made the right choice in purchasing the IS250. It really is a super car to drive. I'm totally delighted with mine.😃. Pics please ☺
  21. Hope you enjoy your lovely new lexus and looking forward to seeing you around the forum.😃
  22. I'm not 100% certain but I believe only the mark levinson system will play dvd's. Just pop a dvd in with the gear in park and see if it plays.
  23. Yours looks to have the standard system fitted or it would have the logo on the stereo. But don't worry the standard lexus system is superb. You can pop 6 cds into the slot. There are no hidden boxes on the car. Just make sure you give it a good run out whenever you can to stop any issues arising with the egr valve and dpf.
  24. Great pics 😀 Wish I had known about this meet as I would have come along. I've been in the area today visiting family just up the road in Llandrindod Wells.
