  1. Ive seen this car around Hereford many times. Its absolutely mint. Infact ive spoke to Keith on a couple of occasions and he really is a true lexus enthusiast who takes great pride and joy in his vehicles. Im seriously considering selling my IS250 and purchasing this ISF
  2. Lexus Wolverhampton are so mean 😬 Had my airbag replaced today at Lexus Wolverhampton. No carwash, no valet, no fuel top up and no tub of sweets waiting for me on the passenger seat 😓
  3. Personally I find my 250 has plenty of power and is certainly quicker than the official figures suggest. Of course it would be nice to have a few more ponies but sadly there's very little if anything that can be done to get it up to 250bhp or even close. Your best bet is a tank of shell nitro and a K&N panel filter.
  4. This is one of several issues I encountered with this particular vehicle. I think you will find your 5th injector is the problem here. I found it extremely embarrassing to be honest but a visit to Lexus bristol corrected the problem in a mornings work.
  5. It' s good idea to give the egr valve a good clean as they get clogged up quickly and Rob power. But to be honest an is220d in tip top condition makes very little power until at least 16000 rpm. Very annoying when joining traffic at a roundabout in second gear. Stamp on the gas and nothing happens.
  6. Not to buy and not fit to wear the Lexus badge. You will run into egr and dpf issues in no time and that' if your lucky. The d4d engine is dreadful and unreliable. Head gaskets blow left right and centre. I found fuel consumption very poor for a diesel. In act I get slightly better mpg in my 250 V6 petrol which is a much better car and I suggest if you can find one for sale, buy it.
  7. I used bp ultimate religiously in my previous is220d. Still had dpf and egr issues so it' a waste of money in my opinion. Different story with my current 250 petrol though. Due to the high compression ratio of the V6 it definitely performs better on shell nitro than regular unleaded.
  8. There's a black lexus is220d taxi I often see driving around hereford. I'll take a pic next time I'm in town.
  9. When I first purchased my is250 that had the original dunlop tyres fitted I was disappointed with the load tyre noise. However I've recently had uniroyal rainsport's fitted all round and barely notice any road noise at all. These are by far my favourite tyres and I've had them fitted to several of my previous vehicles. In the wet nothing can touch them. They stick to the road like glue.
  10. I must say you have done a great job there. It looks lovely. 😀 What products did you use?
  11. And what a lovely lexus you have there. I love the colour 😀 you must be absolutely delighted.
  12. Lovely to hear your happy with your new lexus and looking forward to seeing the pictures after you've worked your magic on her. 😀 The advert on Gumtree states it's an automatic transmission. I wasn't aware the is220d was offered in an auto . 😕
  13. They really are awesome cars. I believe lexus stoke have one for sale in the same lovely red colour. I need to win the lottery 😀
  14. I think I'll be booking my next service at lexus Coventry in the hope of driving an RCF for the day. Lexus bristol gave me a CT 200h for the day and it was dreadful.
  15. Apparently every 60k but many members here report of up to 100k with no issues with the plugs.
  16. Hello and a warm welcome to the forum. Lovely to hear your happy with your new lexus 250. It really is a superb car. It's the best car I've ever owned.
  17. Thanks for sharing and nice to hear it being called a performance car for a change 😀
  18. Yes it is a shame the bolster seems to wear quicker on the F-sport but I much prefer them to my previous SE-L seats. I just love the comfy feel and the way the seats hug you. Mine arn't ventilated like the SE-L but I don't mind that because I could hardly feel the cooling effect. The heated seats are lovely though on a cold and frosty morning.
  19. Same with my front seat and the cars only done just over 32k. The bolster is quite badly creased. I've rubbed leather conditioner into the seat but it's made no difference. My previous SE-L with double the milage hardly had any wear.
  20. Just out of curiosity, does the f-sport share the same exhaust system as the regular 250?
  21. I used shell v power religiously for the first few months after purchasing my lexus. I then switched to esso 95 ron and noticed no loss of performance whatsoever. Strange thing is I get slightly more mpg with the regular. I stick to regular now but do run the odd tank of v power every now and again to keep the system clean.
  22. Hi John I noticed your f-sport does not have the mark levinson. I actually thought it came as standard on this model as mine is the same year as yours and I have it on mine. Maybe the previous owner had it installed as an optional extra.
  23. Great thanks I've just ordered myself a set of new denso wiper blades 😀 Now all I have to do is figure out how to fit them 😞
  24. Looks lovely 😀 bet you can't wait to pick her up. Welcome to the forum.
