  1. Oh dear, not a good start. Did the dealer fix the issue?
  2. I think Richard found a garage in Northants/Leics that replaced/coded a sensor for around £50. I recently had one done by a mobile fitter at close to double that 😕 The OEM units are Pacific but different replacements can be fitted. When a sensor is replaced, all the sensors need to be read and uploaded to the ECU.
  3. Yes, high 30mpg early 40mpg is possible on steady motorway runs.
  4. Sorry to hear that your Merc is giving you trouble, it seems to be a common story these days. I'm really pleased with my GS450H and it's good that you don't have an issue with the boot. Actually the later 450H's have a bigger boot so you maybe okay depending on your budget. At motorway speeds the petrol engine will be the primary force powering the vehicle. So as I understand it the Hybrid system won't have much benefit at speed. Good luck in your quest to join us :)
  5. Will be interesting to see if the new owners completely ruin the format.
  6. Congrats, I bet you can't wait to pick it up. Enjoy, I'm sure it'll be a blast. Oh and brace yourself for lots of 'best colour' replies
  7. Interesting, doesn't the manual say PWR is primarily for mountainous roads? Have you tried a comparison with the Sport mode too?
  8. At last, so good to hear that the screen was an issue. A bonus that they fixed your rain sensing wipers too.
  9. Crumbs, those zoorst pipes are whoppers.
  10. That's a mighty fine looking car you have there. How do you rate it to the IS?
  11. Well done, I bet the paint looks and feels much better after all that attention 👍
  12. Thanks for looking
  13. Yeah, all those lights can come at quite a shock. A result if your mechanic has a quick and easy solution. Fingers crossed. Sent from my LG-H850 using Tapatalk
  14. Phew that was a close call, glad you got it sorted.
  15. awesome pic's, really impressive details, angle and composition. Oh and the car is stunning Thanks for sharing.
  16. Pfft, what are you like! Good to hear that you are keeping busy tho. I've racked up over 500 miles since the zoorst was fitted, so will book it in for a Hybrid health check next week. I'll get to add a few more miles over the weekend, so they will help. I'm getting green battery readings more often after adjusting my braking technique now, surely that'll look good on the health check? Whilst I'm at the stealer, I'll try and get some solid info on how many miles are needed and how the trip screen works (see my note above).
  17. Gawd, what a job. You've been a trooper following it thru this far. Fingers crossed that it's all sorted next week.
  18. Yes, action pic's. They look great, thanks for sharing.
  19. Do all your battery terminals and earthing straps have good solid connections with no rusty to the chassis?
  20. Maybe the battery terminals have worked loose, have they been checked since the battery was replaced? Or as suggested, either the battery or alternator aren't earthed properly. Yeah, the whine might be extra load being applied to the alternator. Is the belt in good shape and at the correct tension?
  21. Or your alternator is okay as it sounds like the car was okay when under power. But got worse when coasting, which'd suggest a bad battery. Is the battery an original OEM item?
  22. a shame as there's plenty of tread left. Couldn't the tyre be plugged?
