Welcome to the forum. Good to hear that you are keen to join the Lexus brand. I recently jumped aboard and haven't looked back. Good luck in your quest.
  2. Wow your car looks great I REALLY like the colour and it makes a pleasant change amongst all the common Silver IS-F's
  3. Ditto to what John says it's turned out to be a great car and exceeded my expectations. Does the 13/14 model your looking at have the bigger boot/batteries relocated? Batteries seem to hold up well and if they do fail then the Lexus Hybrid warranty covers them or specialists can repair them without breaking the bank. I've just had to have the exhaust replaced but you shouldn't have that issue on the age of vehicle you're looking at. What kind of driving will you be doing? Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  4. Thanks Richard, much appreciated. You know what, I may just need to familiarise with the mpg screen. It logs in 1 minute slices right, up to 30 mins across the screen. When I come back to the car after a few hours the previous history is still shown. However if I don't drive for a few days, does the slice history clear itself? Hmmm, this doesn't tally as the slice data was clear when I collected the car after the zoorst work (left for just 6hrs). The calc'd average and average trip at the bottom of the screen are still retained, until manually reset.
  5. That's a good lookin' car, enjoy Could have done without the wheelie bin in the shot tho
  6. Great video, thanks for sharing. Looks like it was a good meet.
  7. I'll be painting my calipers soon and will be using the decals to cover a dark paint, peeling off the decals and the clear coating. This should make them pretty robust. I'll be coating my calipers in silver. There's a recent thread around here showing how they turned out using the same technique.
  8. What a shame, in that case having Lexus tech's sort it out seems like a good option for you.
  9. Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will enjoy the toys in your SE-L. Get some pics online when you pick her up. The inclusion of a tape deck is comical isn't it, I haven't had tapes for years. I have considered getting a BT tape insert for phone/etc streaming.
  10. Lookin' good, what alloys are they? Are they the same offset as OEM?
  11. A shame the scuttle cover didn't fix it. Have you tried a little packing at the base of the screen? I've seen this has worked for others...
  12. Is yours Black or Blue like mine?? Mine is black, Obsidian i believe
  13. You should be able to tow the vehicle provided the drive wheels are elevated and don't turn.
  14. Some condensors don't come with driers, i guess they didn't order a drier and saved the customer a few quid. Granted I would have replaced both tho.
  15. Ah in that case, maybe the connection to the drier is weeping? It may only need a new seal? Or maybe the seal twisted during refitting?
  16. Yes, that's your AC's condensing radiator and the contraption looks like a drier. Try to locate the source of the leak.
  17. Welcome to the forum. That's quite a colour theme you've got going there, I'm keen to see what mod's you've applied.
  18. Okay, I guess that makes sense. Is the heavy braking/regen uncomfortable? If I remember I'll give it a try tomorrow. Although...maybe it's not ideal for battery boosting to heavily brake/regen for a short period vs a milder and longer period of brake/regen?
  19. Nope, I only engage cruise selectively. But I'll give this a try. When the car slow down to say 30 again, does the car regen too?
  20. Thanks. Checking service history sounds handy, will check that out later.
