  1. Yes! That was me, I noticed you too. Your plate seemed to be inspired by potatoes?? Interestingly someone mentioned to me at work the next day that they saw some “fancy Lexus” parked under the new bridge. Are you in the area often?
  2. Yea but once you get into the premium market the prices do sneak up a bit and parts such as brakes/tyres etc could wipe someone out. I too agree with tyres, there seem to be loads of £70-£80 tyres knocking about nowadays. Does give an indication of the maintenance budget a car has been treated to
  3. I don’t think so, there is a black one local to Eyemouth but haven’t spoken to him. In a little in land, still local though. Are you around the area or just visiting?
  4. I think it may be an issue when someone with a budget of £25-30k is in the market, same with ISF. The cars get cheaper and cheaper to buy, making them r accessible for people with a tighter monthly income. My car is an 18 plate so will benefit from cheaper tax in a year or so, might be good for 2nd hand prices, might not. It is orange after all!! You can buy a Golf for the same price as and RCF, doesn’t mean you should. I was always told, if you can’t afford to run it new, you are probably going to struggle used! It’s why I didn’t buy an Aston Martin, and got a Lexus instead.
  5. Does seem steep, Cheltenham has a dealership that seems to be fair, that’s not too far away is it? Sounds like less that ideal service. I get that it’s cheap to buy the parts but suppose how inclined someone is to do it themselves on a car under warranty and only a few years old. If the cost was £150ish then its palatable, not sure I’m going to do it myself though! still got a few years before I need to worry about it mind you. Ive done worse and knowing me I’ll end up doing myself and swearing the whole time.
  6. don’t you miss the noise of a good ICE car? I must say that the sensory aspect of driving is really important to my experience……
  7. I’m selfishly hoping they will drop further in years to come, closer to RCF money. It’s the only car I would consider moving to from an RCF but would need to be a convertible. I don’t really consider one an upgrade over the other, different cars for different purposes I suppose. The RCF is hardly a sports car but I feel like an LC500 is a more sensible, grown up machine! I like the bright colours mind you!
  8. I agree, the fronts definitely need it. Same with the ride height at the front, too high!
  9. Good choice, have had no problem with mine whatsoever
  10. Looks really good, which spacers and sizes did you go for?
  11. Novel manifolds……..got to be my dream mod for the RCF. If only they weren’t so expensive
  12. Oxford is a bit of a trek for me, probably going to struggle. Shall we have a seperate “actually north” meeting?!?
  13. Having spoke to my main dealer, I’m not convinced many of them do affect warranty.
  14. I have the Hayward and Scott exhaust and love it. It’s reasonably priced, good quality and the additional noise is brilliant. A personal highlight for me that many haven’t mentioned is the look of the tips. I personally find the H&S to have the best look retaining an almost OEM feel. It honestly looks like it’s factory fit! +1 regarding easy fitting also, did mine on axle stands in about 1hr.
  15. Yea, new RX is a nice car, certainly wouldn’t turn my nose up at one as the family car.
  16. I wasn’t too impressed to be honest but I’m probably not the intended market!
  17. Lexus Newcastle have been brilliant as a service customer. No complaints from me whatsoever. Seems to be rather hit/miss elsewhere! Now just need to see if they let me drive an LC500 at my next fuel pipe recall or stick me in a UX….
  18. Welcome to the club! Try not to compare the car too much with the M2 as they are different animals designed to meet different requirements. Not much is going the drive like an M2 so don’t be disappointed if it’s not quite as engaging! The V8 is amazing however, certainly in my opinion the bit that makes it feel special!
  19. Spotted a white LC500 coupe in Berwick this evening, had a potato inspired number plate. Looked good, was in the RCF but don’t think I was spotted by the driver!
  20. Having joined in Jan 2017 your one of the few I remember from back then, still a couple knocking about but not many now on the F- forum! Good luck
  21. If it’s a comfort I find the ventilated seats in the RCF are pants so you may not be missing out!
  22. I think I was 29 when I bought my first Lexus, an ISF. Can remember being pleasantly surprised by the dealership, though I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Lexus and had to wait, always very quiet!
  23. That’s interesting, I think saw this one in December and had a sit in it, lovely tan interior. Wouldn’t let me borrow it as it wasn’t taxed at the time. Interesting it seemed faster, think the noise and gearbox plays a part in this?
  24. Is it at the Newcastle dealership? They did mention to me they were receiving an inspiration in Jan as a demo, wonder if that was it??
  25. Yea, mini 3 pro is going to be good. RAW images and 4K out the box. Can put camera in manual too and it’s less than 250g so can fly anywhere. Mavic will need a licence and operator ID. Also costs much more. I’ve got an Avata but wanted the FPV experience and don’t need all the photography tools.
