  1. Always been a treat for me reading a manual whenever I have a new car. It’s how I find out about new features. Then a again I do like reading, always have done.
  2. Fair enough. Still interested to see what happens here though. We need someone to actually follow up on one of these. Personally speaking I’m happy with the Relax warranty. I hope... 😀
  3. Wheel offset is one of the most important considerations if changing wheels. Having a different offset causes the road contact points to be different to what was intended by the car manufacturer for their specific suspension design which can cause the ride and handling to be completely different and in some cases much worse. I’d always go for wheels with exactly the same offset if possible.
  4. 👍 The only loyalty you have is that you normally receive a higher renewal price than you can get if you shop around. No loyalty at all. Insurance is a business transaction. You pay for twelve months, enjoy the twelve months protection and then move on. That said, there have been some occasions when I have renewed because the renewal premiums remained competitive. I absolutely agree it is important to shop around every time.
  5. I’ve always found it best to check the market every year at renewal time. I’ve saved thousands over the years for all of our cars by doing this. I tend to only ever go with a well known company when I make the choice though which precludes some of the crazy cheap deals you often see.
  6. I had a Scorpio estate as a company car. It was like driving my leather sofa down the road although it didn’t handle as well as my sofa. A hateful car and I couldn’t wait to get rid. I always liked the boxy ones before.
  7. We’re planning on keeping our Mini Cooper for as long as it stays problem free or at least relatively problem free. I’m sure we’ll need to fix wear and tear items at some point. My son has a newer Mini Cooper with the JCW kit. Looks sharp and he loves it too. Out of interest have you investigated the value of your pristine Mini Cooper? Possibly hard to value something like that though? My son and I did the manufacturing plant tour too. A really impressive facility and it’s fantastic to see how they make the cars. The cost of modern cars is put into perspective when you see the investment that car companies have to make in their plants.
  8. £15 isn’t a great deal of money nowadays surely? Even if it is over-priced, I’d be happy with a £15 fix for something like this.
  9. This is starting to look like extended warranties might still be available for those that are prepared to buy one. Anyone else thinking the same?
  10. Predictions for the Denmark game? I’ll start us off. 2-1 to England I think.
  11. Yeah that’s pretty much how I see it. We had a brilliant side in Euro 96 and were very unlucky against Germany in the semi-final. We have a good side this time and we’ve had a bit of luck. So far anyway.
  12. Has always been the case in tournaments that some teams get an easier path to the very latter stages
  13. Wake up man. Pay attention now 🤣🤣🤣
  14. Must admit I am starting to dream but I’m trying to keep a lid on it 😀
  15. I’ll start it off although I’m not sure how many Forum members are sports fans. We don’t seem to discuss sport, including motorsport which is my #1. That was some game against Ukraine last night. A performance that any other top team would have been proud of. 4-0 in an international football tournament is one hell of an achievement. Well done England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
  16. It looked to me like the point of this discussion was to find out what is included in a PDI. The OP confirmed he/she wasn’t going to give full details of everything whilst pursuing remediation. I don’t think we have a right to know everything. Hopefully we’ll get an update when all sorted. That said, you never know what is fact and what is not fact. It’s just words on a public Internet forum and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that I don’t believe everything I read on the internet 🤣👍
  17. You don’t have the right to know everything about why is going on here. That’s not the point.
  18. I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to name and shame on here whilst trying to resolve some issues with said dealer. I wouldn’t in the same situation.
  19. Phil Collins over the past week for me. Prior to that Boston.
  20. The rear parking brake pads have been known to cause issues like this. Worth checking?
  21. The Yokohamas always feel like they are made of concrete to me 😀
  22. I know it can sometimes be a pain calling a dealership and booking a car in but I don’t understand why someone would buy approved used from a Lexus dealership, with all the peace of mind and customer services backup that comes with this, and then suffer a fault and attempt to self-diagnose on the internet. Call them, explain the noise, send the clip too if possible, tell them you aren’t happy and you’d like it fixed please. Take it in and collect it when it’s fixed. No point buying in this way and not using the dealership to diagnose and fix.
  23. I can’t believe the OP has again purchased a car without making sure that the audio system was what they wanted. For someone who is obviously so particular about what they want from their audio system, this surprises me.
