  1. Sorry to hear about your mirror. At least you didn't damage the door! Have you tried Cazoo for a cash offer? Mine is valued at a £1000 more than WBAC.
  2. I remember cars in the 60's and 70's. You were very lucky to have and exhaust last longer than 3 years!
  3. As I understand it, it is classed as a four seater, because in some countries a two seater sports car costs more to insure.
  4. Hope you find the problem. My highest mileage on one of my vehicles was 452,000! 1.8 Cavalier petrol. Bought at 100,000 and double manned 7 days/nights per week. Only consumables, and no head gasket fortunately.
  5. Assume you've checked the oil quality, and for mayonnaise under the oil cap? From your past exploits, I'm sure you'll get it sorted quickly. As a former private hire driver, I know how it feels. Not earning, whilst having to spend out. Good luck!
  6. Having owned an ISF, I know how good these cars are. But I feel that present offerings are overpriced, and with the current problems, they are going to be hard to sell. Inflation, the possibility of fuel reaching £2 per gallon, and VED at roughly £50 per month may make people gulp at the prospect. Most will not qualify for extended warranty either. If not going to be driven daily, and you don't need 4 seats, my money would be going towards an Aston Martin Vantage.....
  7. I once had similar. Solved by attaching a WD40 red extension tube to a can of aerosol glue. A good squirt into a nearby hole, and hope the object gets stuck in it. It worked for me.
  8. Or for emergency use only, and you get a puncture on front, put a rear one on, and the space saver on the rear.
  9. So, if you did your research properly, you would see that both have the same powertrain! And so performance is very much the same ,with the same delivery! Anyway, I'm out.
  10. For goodness sake, let it rest. Some of us want a sheep in wolf's clothing. Some want a wolf in sheeps clothing. Just get what you want.
  11. You sound like Clarkson and all the other car magazine reviewers. Ask for an extended test drive of a day or two. Learn to drive it properly and report back. As a hybrid driver of over 7 years and 400,000 miles, if you would like to come out with me in mine, I'll show you. I've also had an ISF. The performance you seem to be seeking is available as an RCF.
  12. You sure it's not an optical illusion created by the trim on the top right of the garage.....🤔😁
  13. May be just me, but too many boy racer additions to me. Imitation steering wheel, wrong gear knob, no original wheels, missing front number plate plinth etc I wouldn't waste my time viewing.
  14. You could tell us what it is, or contact one of the plate dealers. They will of course require a commission to sell.
  15. Technically DVLA own the registration number and you have the use of it. If used illegally ( ie incorrectly spaced ) they can confiscate it. Because the reg came with the car, the previous owner relinquished the use of it and cannot now reclaim it. So you now have the use of it. To sell it, wait until you receive the V5. Then go online to the DVLA site and put the number on retention. This will cost £80. The car will most probably then be allocated the number it was first registered with. You will then be issued with a retention certificate, and a form to show an official number maker to make the newly allocated plate. When you receive the retention certificate you can then advertise it. When you go online to do the above, only do it in their opening hours, the earlier the better, because if there is a ***** up, you can hopefully phone them to sort out. Doing things late on a Friday afternoon may not leave enough time for correction!
  16. Yes, why, unless you carry a spare wheel? As far as a dealership is concerned, if they damage body work, it's up to them to correct it. And to maintain warranty, it has to be serviced by a dealer. I just carry a rubber puck purchased from Amazon, that I had from when I had a Prius.
  17. I use a heavy duty double sided tape. Clean the back of the plate and bumper with a solvent. Then use a hairdryer (without the wife's permission) to warm up both surfaces to help the glue get stickier. Then fit up.
  18. Do you mean the mode knob to select Sport mode etc? If you do, a cheap effective way is to fit a carbon fibre cover. Can't do links, but on Aliexpress uk site there are some for £1.74! Hope that helps, but you'll have to do some work to find it.
  19. I bet most of the calls to the AA are for flat 12v batteries on our Hybrids.....
  20. Just wondering, do you chaps leave your cleaning stuff in unheated garages/sheds, or do you bring indoors for the winter. Does polish or cleaning fluids freeze?
  21. The rear seats fold down in my RC300h, and I managed to get a 2.5 metre length of kitchen top in with the boot closed. With plenty of padding on top of the dash, and the front seat back reclined (and padded) to support the weight. Only me in the car though!
  22. And all of the above is what worries me where the Relax warranty is concerned. I don't have any fear of the hybrid systems or mechanical parts, most of which are covered by the warranty. The infotainment systems seem to be excluded, and would seem to cost a fortune to sort out. To this end, I won't be replacing my car with another Lexus.
  23. Yes many years ago when I had a Mercedes 190e. Went to check my front pads, and three sheared. Daren't drive it, so called a mobile mechanic. He brought along 10 new studs with him. In the end, 6 sheared, because he tried the other side as well. Both tyres were changed 9 months previously, so obviously nuts overtightened. Would not have been able to prove the tyre fitters did it, so didn't bother going back, and have never used them again. Brake pads were OK, but would have been stuck if I punctured on the road side.
  24. A rare Luxury model with only basic features. So not really luxury at all! Wanted a more compliant ride compared to the F Sport.
  25. Totally different model, and my RC300h does have folding mirrors, but again not synchronised with locking. And yes, it is a pain, especially with the seating position and very wide doors. When folded, trying to open the door without being able to see approaching traffic and cyclists is worrying, and I have to be very careful. I share your annoyance, as l didn't check before purchase, and assumed a prestige brand would include the facility. Again, other specs of the model include it.
