  1. Enjoy the car Thomas, that bi turbo feel is fantastic in these and as the old saying goes, "in one mans lifetime, he must own an Alfa".
  2. Bigging or advising? My replies in reference to pricing on both GSF and RCF threads have contained fact - my content and advice purely based off previous and current sale prices both from the trader and Lexus approved. Just to clear that one up.
  3. I think that you have joined the party quite late Arnett and are not in light of the full "facts" to both my comment and also V10Mikes, this is why you may believe it to be unfair. Recently there have been posts where members (old and new) have come along and posted there "want" (like, that all it is, like) for a GSF, a number of members (including myself) have then engaged in extensive, emails, phone calls, sharing of photos, viewings, some even experiencing test pilots etc, to then get the feedback "it is to expensive mate", well, the price was advertised from the offset, so why engage in all these queries in the first place. A topic got going last week where a number of members expressed interests in other members cars, many members went to great lengths to go into detail into their GSF and then the thread got removed (my understanding been because it become an advertising thread) V10Mike then posted, correctly, in the classifieds and suddenly, all goes quiet - I think that his comment is quite fair and my follow up, simply fact. To add feedback to your comment of financing, well if people want HP / PCP / Loan / Help to buy / eat out to help out / or whatever you want to call it, then they need to be going to the dealers and expressing their "needs". As private owners/sellers we can't accomodate any of the above if that is what the issue is.
  4. Because in life there are two kinds of people, those who, "would like" and those who "will have".
  5. For any car for that matter. This is not exclusive to Lexus. The motor trade.
  6. Lexus Liverpool will retail your car for 34995 all day long. Wizzel - waste of time unless you are desperate to see it go. These "buy your car" places are car retailers. Last week, an independent dealer sold a 16 reg 50k mileage for 30000. It sold within 2 days. That car could have gone up for 35k and still sold. No bottom has fell out of the ISF or GSF, in fact, very much the opposite. Dependant upon finer details, a 2016 GSF with 28k on the clock could be sensibly listed at the 34-35k mark. Over the course of this year Lexus has listed x3 GSF 16 reg, mileage circa of 30k and all models have had a screen price of between 35-38k and have gone either within the day or 2, photos never even made the listings. RCF is still a little turbulent.
  7. 37k is top, but credible hence my estimate of 34-37. From a buyers perspective, they will see your model sitting between a 2015 none carbon with 30,000 on the clock at 30k and a 2018 none carbon with 8000 on the clock at 39k. Providing that yours is unmolested, unlike the wheel change on the 2015 model, you will tend to attract a different buyer. A buyer who does want a full MOT, a major service - ah, did you mention that you have / are doing these. 😀 So providing that the condition is relevant to the age of the car, decent pads, disks and tyres, then you can command the higher book. Pre Covid plenty of these Carbons moved between the 33-37 mark. As it stands there are no used carbons on the trader so should another carbon appear, they will use your price as the one to base theirs! For now the trader market is now yours!
  8. Avoid book pricing for any F models right now! F models are moving. A GSF came up for sale last week at 25k, it was criminally under priced, within an hour of the listing going live I made contact with the dealer and suggested 35k, he ammended the listing to 30k, 2 days later, gone! You have not specified the year on yours, however, based upon your profile I will take it as a 2015 model. There is a none carbon edition, 2015, white, 30,000 with none oem wheels model up for just shy of 30! 34-37k should be about right for your model. Considering the major service and MOT, I would suggets 37 and see what offers come in.
  9. Hello. See the topic as below. I it will give you an idea on what is going on with the market.
  10. Hello. I have no experience of an rs4 however, a 2018 rs3 and 2008 isf if that helps. Over the 5/6 year span of the isf production I believe that the car received 3 facelifts/upgrades and during one of them the car received a different suspension set up. As much as the isf stands as the most fun car I have ever owned to date, it was a crashy ride and in fact, if you read some of the reviews from the car magazines it really does appear to be the main point. My isf was by far more crashier than the rs3, in fact I didn't think that the rs3 was crashy whatsover, so hopefully that puts it into perspective for you. Now for comfort, the isf seats are fantastic, solely on comfort they leave both, my gsf seats standing all day long and the rs3. If I remember correctly, on my 2008, there was no difference in comfort between sport and normal, in fact, I stopped using sport. Reference the exciting element of the isf, fantastic, the NA engine is full of torque, pulls you in like a supercharged xkr. I have to be honest, the isf feels not only faster both, 0-60 and also beyond, but also feels that it has more torque than my gsf. The isf engine is fantastic, it rumbles lovely and the bonnet shakes when you rev it at standstill! Little things! Based upon your original post I think that you would be best advised to take an isf out for a test drive and draw your own conclusions.
  11. My GSF manual states premium 98 Octane. If it is Carbon build up that you are concerned of, then it will take many, many years and many, many miles for you to see any difference between using 95 and 99 - certainly longer of which it appears that you usually hold onto a vehicle. If it is about advanced timing on the ECU then that is a totally new and expansive topic altogether, of which, in a nutshell the benefits of 99 would be harvested, albeit, marginal. I am a bit of a Vpower guy, but purely because it is so accessible, however, recently, momentum has been the tipple of choice, no difference at all. Not wanting to make a topic of this point however, I have spoken with and read a considerable more thumbs up from folk rating BP 97. My experience has been limited with the BP 97 however, the experience that I had was that it was not as economical as the VPower.
  12. "Not paying attention" - 15 down to plus 10 now you say Linas! So yes, as I previously said, " 15 ISFs! Not in the last 12 years on the autotrader there hasn't" Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay and although these cars hang around for a few months and the odd red one at a certain nationwide finance dealer maybe over a year, they ultimately do move, so they are priced relative. I don't believe for a second that any owner here believes that they are unicorn cars (you of course entitiled to your opinion), but instead, my understanding and experience been that owners are in a position where they are not desperate to sell. Reasonable priced servicing, cracking extendable warranties, different to shifting on an rs3 or rs4 that is out of warranty and due its 3 year service and first mot. That is from my experience and expertise both from a buyer and seller, private and trade, not my opinion.
  13. The ISF and GT86 are two totally different cars and in no way compare. Driven and owned both. Just sit in an ISF and you will find your own 3 reasons, test drive and you will go into double figures.
  14. @V8ORBUST Reference EBC red stuff front pads, my experience and thoughts replicate that of @hockeyedwards
  15. 15 ISFs! Not in the last 12 years on the autotrader there hasn't
  16. For rear pads winparts have nothing branded (£50 eco Ferodos I question if they will be upto the job of GSF demands) so far my only find for rear pads are Lexus OEM! Thank you! I have emailed EBC, they have said that they no longer supply rear pads for the GSF/RCF, I replied to them but they have not responded, that was 3 weeks ago! I have since followed up last week but still no response - I take that as "no interest".
  17. I clocked the Brembo discs 😉😃 The GSF EBC front brake pads specify on the box "LS460 09 ON", does this means that the 09 LS460 and GSF share the same front pad set up? If so, should I question if the LS460 rear pads will fir the GSF? Does anyone know if the rear GSF pads are shared with any other car?
  18. Thanks Hockey. I haven't heard of most of the brands that are on the site 😂 apart from the Ferodo! Any other GSF owners able to point in the direction of NONE OEM Rear pads?
  19. Can anyone share anything on "NONE OEM" rear pads? EBC don't manufacturer rear pads for GSF/RCF
  20. Truth or not, I have heard all the stories under the sun! I make the decision on purchasing a car based upon paperwork and condition, but I personally have never trusted a dealer and would certainly not let words influence my decision on purchasing a vehicle! Yes, If the vehicle is Lexus 'Approved'. Dealers can retail 'non Lexus approved' - usually if a vehicle does not qualify for warranty i.e age or mileage.
  21. " I am open to offers but due to its desirability the dealership will buy it back close to this price. " Oh dear, the listing was going so well!
