  1. I can't say that I have ever had an apparant "issue" with any of the 3 F's that I have had. From what I recall with the ISF if I ever got over excited with the downshift and shifted in quick succession the car may only drop one gear as opposed to the elected two or two as opposed to the three. I never felt that the car was been unreasonable however, at the time I was driving XKR, Vantage and for a short stint, GTR and in comparison, in the downshift, those gearboxes were by far so much more responsive to rapid inputs. But as I said earlier, I never felt that the ISF was been unreasonable and for a road car with fair inputs all was quite acceptable. Maybe set up a go pro around the passenger headrest so that you can review the footage and see what is in fact going on. Do you come from a German / DSG background?
  2. They go to all that effort, for then the dipstick of a driver to reverse the 50 grand worth of motor straight into the front of that other car! With rear sensors and camera as standard, one really has to ask, what is this generation coming to!
  3. @Linas.PDemand vs stock. There is no stock, true but there is also no demand. This breakers prices only become good value when there is demand. @steve2006 breakers vs new. The price is not relative enough, as is displayed on the users ebay page. They have failed to move any GSF item from off their page. Used mats, just shy of £100 - they are not even GSF mats, just GS. £80 for brand new GSF from Lexus parts direct. The list goes on.
  4. Yes, your earlier message says that however, I cannot find the thread/post. You suggested that it was covered recently, maybe you could direct us to the thread/post.
  5. Both programmes qualify for full 12 month Lexus warranty and options for extended warranties too. "Lexus Premium used" comes under the criteria where the vehicle is, either, a minimum of 8 years and/or have done over 100,000 miles. Why Lexus do this, I don't have the answer.

  7. The diesel Renault engines are some of the best diesel engines out there. It is the Renault electrics where Nissan have their issues.
  8. "Is a service book necessary?" It depends what you define as necessary. Will the lack of a service book affect a warranty claim? Subject to associated paperwork, no. Could a future sale be affected if I don't have the book? Potentially, there are enough buyers out there who insist on seeing a "stamp" in a book. For the sake of a phone call to the salesman, I highly recommend. To a dealer, a service book missing is not uncommon so it is not unusal for a dealer to acquire a replacement service book, send off to the relevant dealerships and get the stamps in the book, it is a more than fair request and from my experience of these issues, never had a problem with getting dealers to do this.
  9. If they are going to the tip on Saturday, maybe @Flytvr could be kind of enough to let you know which tip so that you could salvage them without having to put in an offer.
  10. So true. Since day one with the ISF this has seemed to be the case. I don't understand why, GSFs on the other hand don't tend to hang around unless there is a question mark over them. RCFs hit and miss, but seem to turn around marginally faster than ISF but slower than GSF. All the best GB. I have always had a softie for ISF in white.
  11. I can't say that I am confident that I can hear anything on the video but what appears to be shuffling - is that the sound that you refer to? I rarely have the audio on and I can confirm that beyond the exhaust, there are no abnormalities in sound within the cabin.
  12. I cannot remember the last time that I came across an RCF breaking. There is a company in Scotland breaking a GSF but they are pricing the stuff as if it were laced in gold dust. A GSF set of seats and door cards. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2015-2020-MK4-LEXUS-GS-F-FULL-INTERIOR-SEATS-DOOR-CARDS-CENTRE-CONSOLE-TRIM/333747338955?hash=item4db4e43ecb:g:-rsAAOSwNkhffzF2
  13. Where did you get your discs from? Apologies, I missed your post near the top of page 1.
  14. The car is now "POA" That must be a first for any none LFA model.
  15. A "none" carbon edition now up for sale. 20,000 miles more than Toms. Asking price almost £3,000 more.
  16. Marvelous news Tom - I did say. Unfortanatly with forums and such as life, folk can post their "thoughts and feelings", rather than focus on fact. You stuck by fact and your car sold for the right money. I have seen this happen countless times with GSFs and ISFs and many other brands where I am members of such forums. All the best with your new ventures.
  17. Unsure on that one. Two months ago there was the 2016, 56000 mile black exterior, red interior one that was up at £30,000 (£25,000 for about 60 minutes into the listing), it sold with 48 hours. 2016 models 25000-30000 miles seem to be going for anything between £36 and £38k. The GSF is just such a rare car, so with no other online examples for sellers to go against it makes pricing these cars very difficult.
  18. One listed just a few hours ago. https://www.monzamotorhouse.co.uk/cars/lexus/gs/f5.0v8/393684/ featured below just a few years ago. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/amp/the-only-lexus-gs-f-for-sale-right-now-is-rarer-than-many-supercars/
