  1. Don't think a T20 is the same shape as a T39 is it? The mount I have only caters for a T39 shape phone...
  2. Heyup Work has given me a new mobile phone but it's a crappy little Nokia. I've already got an Ericsson T39 which I use for my personal phone, and I have a carkit in my Altezza to fit it, but nothing for the Nokia. As it's a pretty old phone it's not available anymore, and as I am not too keen in updating the carkit at the moment, anyone out there got an old Ericsson T39 they're not using? I'll pay a modest price if necessary, though they aren't worth much these days - I'd rather have another T39 so if either phone rings, I can just plonk it in the carkit while I'm driving... One day I'll upgrade... :winky: Anyone? Asam
  3. No need to SHOUT bob :winky: Try turning CAPS LOCK off... Cheers dude.
  4. Gold on a Silver car won't look that great imho.. I got mine done in Black Pearl and as many here will be able to testify, they look really good on a Silver car. Are you in the UK? Midas (linked at the top) should be able to Blacken them, but I'm not sure if they can do them if they are already Gold. Speak to Laban - tell him I sent you - he's a good man. You can check them on my car here or check the pics linked from my sig... Asam
  5. They do look good, agreed, but my main desire in fitting them was to reduce brake dust, which they have done, and relatively inexpensively, so I'm happy. The fact that they look good to boot is a bonus. They do make a rasping clicking sound under braking and this is normal, but it doesn't bother me... at least they don't squeak!!! Asam
  6. could be interesting! :winky: when the turbo comes....
  7. It totally depends on driving style and type of travel of course. I tend to get around 30mpg, mainly town driving, but not too much traffic as I set off early. I average about 300miles from a tank. The RS is just slightly more economical than the IS, but definately appreciates Optimax as the stock ECU is tuned for 100 Octane fuel from Japan. Running normal unleaded is fine as they can adjust to either. I went to Bath on Friday from London on the M4 at a solid 80mph average and got around 440 from the tank (60L) so they can be quite economical, but then again I wasn't pushing it hard. As you get above 90 the economy drops quite a bit. Asam
  8. Is that the legendary HKS Type-R Intercooler? I'm glad I'm getting the Type-S for my Turbo conversion :winky: I thought they have lettering on them though, so you can see the HKS logo subtly on the fins Maybe Mark's put it in the wrong way around Looks phat!
  9. I just got Proxes put on after going from original Ykos from Japan, then Avon ZZ1s. The Yokos were great in dry, pants in wet, soft compound, modest noise. The Avons were good in dry, very pants in wet, loud road noise - compund too hard - but they did last ages. The Proxes are great in dry, good in wet, but medium/soft compound. Low road noise! :) I got 225/40/18s for £105+VAT in S.London, which was pretty decent, includfing fitting, balancing, valves etc. Proxes rock.
  10. Where are you looking mate? If you're looking at Japanese stuff, it's likely they'll work for both, and they might just be being lazy and just putting SXE10, but if some kits have GXE10 listed, they might be specific. I'm not sure what the physical differences are between the two though - unless there are specific mount points that one car has over the other, but I'd be surprised... Best send them an email perhaps?
  11. They are chassis numbers. Basically: SXE10 = 3S-GE (RS200) GXE10 = 1G-FE (AS200/IS200) All UK IS200 are GXE10. I believe the IS300 uses the same chassis as the RS200 though so are SXE10 too, but I might be wrong on that last point...
  12. Ahem.. I had my digicam in the bag too... was to busy chatting to Kieran and Matt
  13. Yeah was cool, and thanks to Richard for the mention, great work, and from a newbie member too :) Me, Riyka, Fargo, Dark, and Matt were made it down. A bit crowded and some morons using the road outside to wheelspin and launch but a good little do B) KV
  14. Hehe Nice one dude ;) We were most impressed by your launch Good to meet ya ;)
  15. Whoo Hoo! only reservation is the Japanaese Performance Car bit - I like my standard IS, its very nice. but its an awful long stretch to describe it as a performance car - how snobby about stuff like that do you reckon theyll be? wouldn't expect them to be snobby at all - most jap owners seem reasonable As long as they don't let in German car owners
  16. Nice ride Tony! Pressie in the post to make it look even nicer! :winky:
  17. As my reaction time is clearly better and I know how to turn the TRC off for standing starts I'll be there at about 8.30ish... :P Be nice to check your ride Darkyboy Mini meet ahoy!!! :zee: :zee: :zee:
  18. OOoo. that's close to where I work... :) I might just make it as I'm working late at the moment :( and should be in the area
  19. B) car needs a drop tho :winky:
  20. pee.j What about a webcam? They are pretty cheap, and easy to set up, and you can have them on time-lapse recording so they don't eat up too much space on your HD. You could set the frame grabbing rate to say 3-5 fps at 400x300 or something and that would give you a good amount of spycam footage at a viewable resolution. Would hate to see you leave, especially with those B) wheels.... I can help you set up the grabbing software, as I'm sure many others here could. You can even get wireless cams now too, so you can position a camera pretty damn discretely and not have trailing wires... Just a thought... Asam
  21. Yeah of course, it will take an audio input from a DVD player etc, and will sound damn fine B) But it doesn't have a screen for DVD - I presume you want to use the Sat/Nav screen... As I indicated in the PM to you that kit won't give you TV as it's an NTSC tuner, but it'll probably work okay for an NTSC video feed if you have one. Asam
  22. Hmmm... Caveat emptor and all that. It's an old version of the head unit, and one that is prone to getting ERROR 3 messages with jammed CDs. Asam
  23. who did you finfd in the UK that woudl fit these.. Am tired. Just got back from IOM TT races. I meant to say when I was in the US.... I am in the UK now... maybe not in mind, but just about in body... :doh!:
