  1. Mine as changed at 5k to fix poor gear change, yes you've guess it, no it didn't the gear change problem
  2. I have see HERE I got mine from JDM parts guru. Mine's fitted in a sport, makes little difference because all IS's have the same centre consul. very easy to fit
  3. JD Power Survey's are not worth the paper they are printed on, because the results are not weighted to the total vehicle sales of one brand or type As for the 'Lexus experience' forget it. They are no better than any other car dealer
  4. You need to go to these people, Drive and Survive bit boring really, they teach you how to drive properly. No Racing etc. I've done most of the courses they do, I highly recommend them if you want to drive correctly on public roads.
  5. Trust me they come, 4 caps in one plastic sealed bag, normally found in the boot or glove box. They should be fitted when the car has it's PDI.
  6. No, The truth is that the IS fitted with a styling kit as standard with 18inch alloys come with crome 'L' centre caps, they can be found in a little plastic bag in boot. The centre caps that come with wheels are supplied by the manufacture who supply the wheels to be fitted by the dealer, the Crome 'L' caps are placed in the boot from the factory. I know I found a set in IS fitted with a styling kit that had just been placed in the showroom, so much for the PDI. This is another example of the :tsktsk: service you get from your Lexus dealer.
  7. 3rd time in next week, New Clutch and Dual Mass Flywheel Now worse than ever Going back for a new fangled clutch adjustment I guess it will be going back 4th time Lexus No1 I don't think so. This is my 6th new car in 9 yrs, my 1st Lexus and It's the worst car I've ever owned from new, that's the down side, the upside is, I've never owned a car that has created so much interest from other drivers etc. It a shame about the build/design quality.
  8. Yes and No as I'm still not happy with the Gear Box, The way the orignal thread read 'You' The customer, I take that as being 'ME' a customer, after experienceing the LEXUS buying experience 1st hand I really can't see how they are voted number 1, the only way is if customers are not honest and admit they have had problems with there cars, for a company that has had the following known issues for a number years and still not fixed them shows contempt for there customers. Paint Chipping Poor Gear Change Poor quality alloy wheels To mention only few, this does not strike me to be a No 1 supplier of quality cars, Sorry for the Rant, it does :tsktsk: me off when I read how great something is when I know it's not. One last thing I've have not received any questioniares any comunication etc from Lexus asking what I think of the car etc since I purchased the car back in June last year. They can't just relie on warranty repairs to know what's wrong otherwise they would have fixed the above issues years ago.
  9. I would like to know what customers were asked, as a recent customer buying a new IS200 sport I would not rank LEXUS anywhere near No 1. It took over 6 months to get lexus to fix paint chipping and Gear Box problem reported after 1 week of use, poor build quality, more than one attempt to carry out simple fixes etc, etc
  10. plaver3301, I'm to honest for my own good :winky:

Cheers I'm not MAZ but the photo is of the OEM Armrest as fitted in my car and supplied by your good self Thanks Did not see you posting recently, ... 13. I used fancy plates at fancyplates.com you could try contacting them and ask them to send you the double sided pads they use when they supply number plates
  14. Couple of dumb questions, How comes the PM's from this site goes through AOL?? I wouldn't :tsktsk: on AOL if it was on fire. and Although you say it's sent, it doen't appear in my sent box, why's that
  15. Does anybody know why you get the error page after sending PM, is it me or a system fault.
  16. I always thought they transported real people in the back of he****s only the differnece is they dead and can't answer back to the driver.
  17. If you think the PAS oil level has dropped, where's the oil 'GONE' as it doesn't evaperate and it's sealed system and the levels on the canister are for Cold and Hot for expansion, The question you should be asking is 'where has the missing oil gone'???, If you have no visable leaks, then check the steering rack 'Boots' because if the seals on the steering link arms are leaking the PAS fuild will build up inside the boots and when you least expect it, you will turn the steering and hay presto, oil leaking out. This normally happens when your in a rush and need to be some where in hurry.
  18. Power steering canister, has levels on it If you have lost the belt, do worry you would soon know the difference between PAS working and not working, you would not be able to turn the steering and if the belt was slipping it would whine more than normal, especaially on a lock, same if's it low on oil, When you check the oil level remove the cap and check the oil has not turned black, this normally a sign that the seals have gone or about to if your steering has got heavy and the following is OK Tyre Pressures Oil Level OK (PAS Oil doesn't normally need changing) colour of the oil should not be black Pump not whineing (loudly) The only other thing it could be is the pressure valve in the system, if it is this then normally the pump starts to whine because of the higher pressure.
  19. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Internet Explorer is inbeded inside windows regardless of what version you have so you can't uninstall it only update. I spoke direct with mircosoft about it and they weren't much help, The only option was to force install win98 to try and go back to Version 5.5, it didn't work so I reformated my hard drive and started again If do go for a force install, this overwrites all pervious update or so microsoft recon, make sure you back-up the files you want before you try and reinstall windows.
  20. If she had touched my car, her head would had parted company with the rest of her body, then see if she can ***** herself agian You should showed great restraint, well done and you have nothing to feel bad about. I would have then proceeded to find there camp and fire bomb it and do the whole world a favour.
