  1. I'm pretty annoyed at $ony for delaying it, I was all set to grab any I could get my hands on and sell for a fortune on eBay to all those stupid and desperate enough to pay over the odds for one just so that their spoilt little kiddies have got one for Christmas. Wouldn't buy one for myself though. Sony's track record when it comes to games console reliability leaves a lot to be desired.
  2. Make sure you get the RHD version if you get one.
  3. Spot of Googling turned up this. Basically, it would appear that DOT3, DOT4 and DOT5.1 are mixable. DOT5 can NOT be mixed with anything.
  4. For the LED rears you'll probably find that one LED has failed and is stopping a whole strip from working (you'll probably find they're wired with 5 or 6 in series). Shorting one LED at a time within the dead row will show which one's gone. Don't leave it shorted though, as it'll overdrive the whole row and take out another one. Just get a replacement and solder it in, assuming this isn't too difficult a job on these lights. You may want to buy a few different ones from Maplin and fit the one that's closest in brightness to the rest.
  5. My 8-LED wide-angle ones that I fitted in the front failed within a few months. If looked after (not overheated or overdriven) LEDs should last at least 60,000 hours, though.
  6. D'you reckon it would beat a 911 then, Mat?
  7. Get CCTV. Can't see the car from the house Fit it in the car, then. :) +
  8. The dealer that sold the car may have a record of it. It may be written in the service book. It may be scrawled on the page in the handbook that refers to the security code. It may be known by the previous owner of the vehicle.
  9. Every time I use XP I find something else to hate about it. Last night it was file and print sharing (brand new XP laptop will not share with old XP PC upstairs at my mate's house), earlier that day it was general un-responsiveness which resulted in a four-second press of the power button to force a reboot. In work I also find file sharing with XP a complete non-starter (XP can access a 2000 PC, but nothing can access an XP PC). I'm amazed XP is on the shelves at all, as far as I'm concerned it's still not fit for release. When I bought my CCTV PC (a Dell Dimension 5100) XP survived as far as the EULA that appears first time you boot it. XP off, 2000 on, works perfectly, shares files happily with my laptop and other PC, no problem whatsoever. As far as I'm concerned if software requires XP, I don't require that software and will look elsewhere. For me it'd be a close call between a PC running Windows 2000 and a Mac, but given the choice between an XP PC and a Mac, I'd go for the Mac every time.
  10. Even if the signwriting is stripped off, the roofrack's pretty distinctive, especially with the rusty bracket on the rear driver's side. Regarding the car, surely it would be better to leave it there (but pull the HT leads to immobilise it) and keep an eye on it, waiting for the scum to come back? If you know anyone else with a Transit they may be happy to let you park it in the car park for a while, watching the MG from inside the back. After all, it could be their van next! Whoever nicked the car will be back to see if it's still there, after all!
  11. HI, The Tank (60 lt i think) is inthe boot up against the back seats, still can gain acess to the spare wheel. but once the buggy goes in and the weekly shoppng its full eXOBeX; is Flash Lub and good? I was informed that Slick 50 is better and runs for around 80k inyour engine. The Auto shop owner has run his pick up on Gas for over 4yrs and never put any Flash Lub in only Slick 50 and swears by it? any opions mate? Dibs Doesn't Slick 50 go in the petrol tank though? Flashlube is dosed via the air intake manifold, so it's used whether you're running on petrol or gas. Don't know much about the longevity of Slick50 and its benefits when running on LPG.
  12. Gold discount on everything? What's the part number for a GS450h? :P
  13. Information about the vehicle like what music is playing inside it, what pretty patterns can be made based on that music, stuff like that? :P
  14. Gas-powered Mk.2 GS300 here. Romano Sequential Vapour Injection system, 75 litre toroidal tank (60 litre usable capacity), Flashlube system fitted. £1,700 all-in at Phil Price Autogas in Llangunllo, near Knighton, Powys.
  15. If they're anything like the Hoover, Panasonic and Sony factories in South Wales, I'm sure we can get one "over the wall"
  16. Note: if buying from Amazon USA, tick the box that states that its a "gift". Customs leave items alone if they're worth less than £18. If it's a gift, that level is raised to £36. Saves you paying £4.50 VAT and £4.00 Royal Mail charges! Wish I'd ticked the box now! Still, Prison Break Season 1 for £33.59 is better than paying £44 for the Region 2 version when it comes out!
  17. It's a BMW, it's only a BMW :P
  18. Click here to get your free Wilkinson Sword Xtreme 3 razor. Don't forget to use a ******** email address (whateveryournameis@mailinator.com for example) to avoid getting spam.
  19. Nine grand of what I paid for the GS was in cash. Attempting to nick the satchel off my shoulder that day would've been a dangerous thing to do! :P A mate of mine's been offered a fake second chance offer on a car (and it's definitely fake). Baseball bat mini-meet, anyone?
  20. Ummm... I'm not sure. It's not me, 'cos I wasn't there. It's not Ade as far as I can see, besides he's not got a leather jacket. It's probably one of the lads who actually have a bike licence, whoever took the bike there for the photo-shoot I assume.
