  1. Same here; what the brochure and the dealer told me.
  2. Earlier posts suggested that it is a licencing issue rather than a technical one. If correct, it's very annoying that Toyota/Lexus hasn't resolved the issue in well over a year since the NX launch.
  3. I can use the phone when it is connected via Bluetooth but not when connected with a wire - which is what is needed if you want to use Waze or Google Maps. That's my understanding of it anyway.
  4. I asked this a while ago and, IIRC, the answer was that you can't, you have to cancel it from the car. I don't remember doing this but I do recall that at some point (for either this or another issue) that I deleted the app and reloaded it. I'm very careful now so I haven't had to repeat the exercise. Thinking about it now, is there a 'Charge now' option when a scheduled charge is set? If so, you could try choosing this, cancelling it once it starts and then setting a new schedule.
  5. I didn't find the app that exciting in terms of tracking my order. It spent ages in step 1, a short while in step 2 (build), a month in step 3 before finally entering the final leg. The wording used is poor and details are scant so can be a bit misleading and disappointing. Having said that, you have a right to expect it to work and will need it sorted before you get the car or you are likely to have problems similar to those some have had where the 'find my car' and journey recording is sporadic. Disappointing that you haven't had much help so far. I assume that you are using the same email address for your UX and the same one that Lexus has registered against your NX350 and is being used for all correspondence?
  6. On my 2022 NX, the rear roof rail is significantly shorter than the front bar. It wouldn't be possible to fit them in the wrong position. My bars are also aerodynamically shaped in cross-section so there is only one logical way around for them to go. I haven't checked but I also think the securing bolt is offset so it wouldn't be possible to insert the securing bolt if they were 180 degrees out. Hope that helps so that you don't need to refer to the instructions each time. Incidentally, when I picked up my car, the technician came through to demonstrate and explain the fitting. A nice touch.
  7. I recently completed a 500 mile trip and found the Lexus Satnav okay too. I decided to give it a proper chance to prove itself after Waze sent me up a very narrow lane with few passing places for several miles. Google maps are good but connecting the (Android) phone with the cable and losing phone calls was/is a faff, hence the experiment with the Lexus Satnav. I don't like the display as much as I like Waze (or Google) but it does what it needs to do and it was much better than I expected when it came to warning me about heavy traffic and re-routing me.
  8. I was talking to a garage mechanic this evening who was an advocate of E5, okay so far, then he went on to say that he never used Esso fuel because as well as the addition of methanol, suppliers mix bio fuel with oil fuel and Esso use a higher proportion of bio than other suppliers. He went on to say that VW say that bio fuel should not be used, using this as evidence that fuel with a higher bio content was less good that fuels with a low bio content. Other comments he made about other matters were total rubbish so I'm left wondering what the truth of the matter is. Any experts out there that can enlighten me?
  9. My situation was very similar Pat, my local commute can be achieved using battery alone. However, once a week the car gets a 120 mile blast, which it needs, especially in winter. Even so, I was getting some sludge build up in the oil (hence, please do change the oil even if the engine miles are low). For my very long trips to visit family, I am happy to put in the cheaper E10 fuel as I know that I'll burn through the tank before the fuel degrades noticeably. When I know that I have no long trips planned, and as I go into winter, I will fill up with E5 because there is a greater chance of the higher methanol content of E10 absorbing condensation and the petrol degrading and possibly leading to corrosion in some parts of the fuel system. A small risk maybe but one that I will reduce by using E5. Supermarket E5 appears to be a good compromise. As Phil mentions, the price difference is not as large as it is at the independents and now that Esso is changing its E5 from zero ethanol (in some parts of the country) to 5% everywhere from September, I reckon that E5 will be a very similar quality wherever you buy it. With the added bonus of a couple more mpg.
  10. The double touch dead locks the lock and should, therefore, be more secure. Not related to closing the boot
  11. There is a setting that changes the sensitivity and hence the point when the lights come on but mine is at the most sensitive and they still refuse to come on in heavy rain even when visibility is atrocious. I think this is one lexus have got wrong and should be addressed.
  12. My last 3 (without A/C) charges have been: 48.7, 48.9 and 49.2 getting better but I've still to crack the magic 50 mile barrier (dash display remains at 46-47 miles, 74-75km).
  13. I feel for you. Happy and elated that your car will soon be with you but also frustrated for your long wait given that I ordered my 450h+ a week before you and was able to pick it up last September. The large variation in model delivery times is truly very marked.
  14. I suspect an error on the website. It wouldn't be the first time.
  15. Out of interest Nicolas, what range does your dash display show? (Mine has been 74km or 75km these last few weeks)
  16. Probably because there is a little bit of work involved! My dealer had to go away and find out but was happy to get back to me when he had found the information. If your salesperson wasn't helpful after spending all that money buying a car, I would speak to the manager in the first instance. If no joy there, then maybe consider another dealer and a letter to Lexus UK.
  17. PS Mine went into build 6th June 22 and arrived at the dealer on 16th August.
  18. It takes from a few days to a couple of weeks from the time it is shown as going into build. There are small variations depending on model but often the car sits completed in a compound for several days before the ship sails and the app description changes (see my post above). On the ship for about 4 weeks and then from 2-4 weeks once the ship arrives at Portbury and reaches the dealer via Derby. Dealer needs a couple of days for final PDI and cleaning. Add all that up and you could get to 3 months but I would expect nearer 2 months.
  19. I've experienced similar small variations and they can go either way. Sometimes the EV range shown in the car drops off very quickly and sometimes it is much slower when compared to the actual distance driven. Lots of factors coming into play so I'm not at all worried about what the displays are predicting; I just know that the actual EV range is amongst the best for a PHEV and that keeps me smiling.
  20. It is a shame that Lexus are still causing confusion with poorly chosen words in the app. I have posted twice on this issue, most recently on 25th February where I said, "I posted this on 29 July last year in the NX 2022 Delivery Date thread. Shame that Lexus are still causing confusion through their poor wording and definitions. "I can't be sure about the accuracy of what I'm about to say but true or half true, the wording used in the Lexus Link app is misleading. If it were changed, I think there would be a huge improvement in the perception of the communication with Lexus. What do I mean? Well the first step is 'order in progress', not too misleading but it would be better if this period was split with the second phase being, 'awaiting build'. Next is 'build in progress' before it moves to 'left the factory'. I believe that the reality is that the app doesn't change until its on a ship. Hence the reason why some cars are 'in build' for a few days and others for 2-3 weeks. Best if 'build in progress' was split into, 'your vehicle is being built' and 'your car is awaiting shipment'. Once the ship has left port, it should say, 'your vehicle is at sea en-route to you'. 'Left the factory' is misleading/incomplete information. The next step, 'In transit' is a terrible phrase because the car has been in transit since it left the port in Japan. Far better to say something like, 'Your vehicle has arrived in UK and is on its way to your dealer'. You probably get the idea by now. Would be nice if Lexus UK could make some simple wording changes to reduce the confusion experienced by many customers. That's my two penny worth." "
  21. The Car Care Nut has a video on YouTube that covers all aspects of Toyota/Lexus keys at: youtube.com/watch?v=vYtU5-OLv-k It covers quite a spread of information it its 30 minute length and he woffles a lot in places but it may help.
  22. Ask your dealer for the name of the ship your car is on and then use one of the ship tracking apps (there are free versions available that are perfectly good for tracking one ship. You can also use www.bristolport.co.uk to see exactly when your ship will dock. I found it quite fun watching the progress of my boat - although at times it seemed a bit like watching paint dry!
